I checked. Mr Sunshine has the same director. That was broadcast in 2015, 7 years ago. If you think that Mr Sunshine…
a trivia i've read about Li Xiaoran - she wears little makeup or none at all in the drama. Another drama with her and Wallace Chung, Too Late To Say I Love You, is also very good.
Hats off to the actors, writer, director and everyone else involved in making this drama for successfully making…
Yes, I've read about former Empress Michiko. I wonder if there is a movie somewhere about their love story :)
Regarding NYS standing up to his dad regarding TJ, I'm very confused about this. While NYS was in mental regression, he told his dad about their wedding in Belgium and his dad seemed to have accepted it. Yet why are he and TJ still not living together as husband and wife? Is it because their marriage is not legal in China?

There's another value I keep seeing in cdramas - being filial. Is this still considered of utmost importance in today's China? If so, might the ML's attitude towards his father, i.e. not talking back or not being overtly combative, be attributed to being filial instead of being weak?
Episode 24 is one of my best episodes in cdramas! Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions; i cried, laughed, swooned,…
the power of words. "I had never loved you" can push a loving, gentle soul into a mental breakdown. "I never stopped loving you" can lead him out of it.
I think I want to share with u guys FL is dumb she doesn't have the backbone to save her love without proof how…
I was also mad at TJ and doubted her love for NYS. but she redeemed herself in episode 24. This episode is actually metaphorical. 7 years ago, his sanity "died" when she broke up with him. This time, his sanity was again dying because he could not accept what he thinks his dad did. TJ helped revive his sanity by finally saying what she should have said back then. She also explained why she hurt him. When the train in his nightmare kept moving towards the red light and finally stopped upon reaching it, I cried so hard knowing his sanity finally made it home. I felt all my resentment towards FL getting washed away.
I love My Sunshine too. I still listen to its OST from time to time. In fact, I've been humming its ending song nowadays, in between watching Because of Love.
Episode 24 is one of my best episodes in cdramas! Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions; i cried, laughed, swooned, felt relieved, sad and happy. The scene in the rain when lethal insincere words in the past were retracted and real feelings expressed is so marvelously healing not just for NYS and TJ but, I bet, for many viewers as well. In my case, it dissolved my frustration with TJ.
The best possible solution is for the ML to marry the FL. Not sure if the story will be written to make that come…
I agree. I felt that NYS has been kind of nonchalant about the custody proceedings because he wants to marry TJ, in which case the matter of custody becomes irrelevant. If they don't end up married in the end, it would be a terrible disappointment

thank you so much for such an excellent reply! you were on-point about the cases where I've noted "It's my fault..." being said - usually when ministers talk to the emperors or subordinates to superiors. i'm appreciating the time I've been watching cdramas now. they're really an entertaining way to learn Chinese history and culture
Is the custody battle for sole or joint custody? If it is for sole custody, I can understand TJ's antagonism towards it. But if it is for joint custody, I don't understand why she would forbid the father of her child from taking part in his upbringing. If TJ and PP have no other option but to live in poor conditions, fine, there's nothing wrong with living a humble but decent life. But PP has someone eager to be a part of his life who would be a good father to him as well as being a capable provider.
Agreeing to a joint custody is not selling PP. It is providing him with opportunities that would allow him to be the best he can be and minimize the chances of him growing up to be a wastrel or a criminal. Sure, he can still live up to his potential even if he is poor, but realistically speaking, the chances of that happening is much slimmer. Why take a chance with her child's future when she doesn't need to?

I agree, discussing dramas with others can deepen one's understanding and enjoyment.
Regarding misunderstandings, I have actually been wondering why characters in Chinese dramas tend to clam up instead of explaining things to avoid misunderstandings. Drama characters tend to be quick to say, "It's my fault, please punish me" even if they are innocent. Is this a cultural practice or a plot device?
I see some interesting debate going on between who is to blame for the way relationship between the ML and FL…
Hats off to the actors, writer, director and everyone else involved in making this drama for successfully making viewers empathize with the characters to such degree that would make us want to either defend or criticize certain characters strongly. They were able to create complex, 3-dimensional characters who are not entirely good nor bad, thus leaving room for speculation,
I pretty much enjoy this series and Im waiting for it daily, Im here for the romance and the angsty, then it turns…
since it's 2022, it's not amnesia but mental regression :) on a serious note, it's heartbreaking, his past breakdown for three years in Belgium. and now this...
