She kept it. She was shown putting it in her drawer. I think this is symbolic of her enduring love for Yusheng. She never stopped loving him but tried to hide the fact at the beginning of the drama.

I feel like ranting now at the injustice done to this masterpiece. If showing an evil practice in dramas deserves a bad rating, all dramas depicting war and crime should get a douban rating of 1.0.

Same here. I've stopped depending on ratings, even awards, to judge dramas and movies. Oscar best picture winners are more likely to get me depressed, so I now think twice before watching Oscar nominated/awarded films.

Thanks for the info about TSATB. The reason it got a much lower rating than it deserves is as unreasonable as the rating. The concubine system was indeed insidious, but the drama just depicted the custom at the time. In fact, it subtly denounces the practice. It shows the misery inflicted on everyone involved in it. In the end, the male lead and his brother both decide to abandon the practice.

in both cases, i.e. Tan Jing's and Shen Fangting's, the hatred was caused by misunderstanding. I normally don't like dramas propelled by misunderstanding, but the acting here is so good, I couldn't resist.

Regarding Douban ratings, I'm beginning to doubt the reliability of online ratings. If only a small fraction of the intended audience are Douban users, there will be more reviewers who will be likely to rate the drama unfavorably. One of the best cdramas I've watched, The Sword and The Brocade, only got 5.6 rating, while other cdramas I found trashy got higher ratings. These online ratings are too dependent on voters' emotions. When they dislike one scene in a show that is composed of thousands of scenes, they would rate it a 1! And they would give top marks to shows of their favorite actors regardless of the quality of the shows.

Same here. I generally find cdramas more tedious to watch than kdramas due to their length, tendency to drag and extraneous side stories. I recently watched a cdrama where even the story of the mom of the friend's girlfriend got airtime. A total waste of time. But those are flaws I did not feel much with Because of Love. I could do without the romance arc of the second leads but it seems romantic cdramas always have at least first and second romance arcs. But I prefer to just have one that is well done.

Not only cold but cruel too. When she told Nie Yusheng that they should part ways after Jun's funeral, I almost hated her. But I guess the production team was trying to be true to the character. A woman who has hated for 7 years would not miraculously get rid of that hatred. Anyhow, she showed herself worthy in the end, keeping Pingping's shares in the Nie family. saving her "enemy" and attending his funeral. That she did these even before she found out that her "enemy" did not cause the accident proved her heart had already warmed up and might already have forgiven him. That can only mean Yusheng's love had already healed her.

I agree, the drama should have shown more sweet moments of the leads together. Was the shot of them walking together as family in the park the last scene you watched? There are two more scenes after that - their breakfast together and the photoshoot outside their friends' cake shop.

I merely paraphrased what the articles said. The chronic cases mostly affect adults. I don't remember the type of leukemia Mark had being mentioned in the drama so I assumed it was one that mostly affected children since he had it when he was a child. Anyhow, yeah, it's too bad that the viewers judged TJ's character severely. But it's understandable. The second break-up was really unnecessary. The editor should have removed that dialogue. It did not move the story along anyway. I also almost hated her for that. I had to keep reminding myself of her trauma and putting myself in her shoes to stretch my patience with her.

it's not one-sided since she also loves him, maybe differently than how he loves her, but it's still love nonetheless. She broke up with him years ago because she thought that it was best for them to part than for him to have to choose between her and his dad. This drama strives to be realistic and most relationships are unequal in intensity. But that doesn't mean he got the short end of the stick. When you truly love someone, you are happy just to be with your beloved or to make your beloved happy. Thus, the one who loves more would tend to be more blissful. Towards the end of the drama, TJ showed she has matured and stopped making bad decisions.

These types mostly affect children so one of these was probably what he had. He had leukemia when he was a child and at 30+, he is still alive. According to above, if he is still alive after 5 years of remission, he may be considered cured.

aside from her undesirable influence, NDY was also disgusted that she took the money since he didn't understand why she was blaming him for the accident

1. NYS would just be happy with her loving him the rest of her life. That would be equivalent to a million apologies for him.
2. NDY was already dead when she found out he did not cause the accident. Even before she did, she already allowed PP to spend time with his grandpa. Running away with PP was stupid but that was her panicking. She was a penniless mom with an undependable husband against a tycoon trying to take away her son

4. SZJ was with her of his own choice. He tried to take care of her and PP because he loved her and because of his loyalty to his master, her dad. And she tried to take care of him, too, even when he caused her trouble. PP bearing his name was an honor for him.
5. NYS would have had an easier life with Vicky, but alas, he loved TJ. As he said, if he did not meet TJ, he would not have found true love; finding her and loving her were the best things that happened to him in his life.

In all types of this disease, the limits are optimistic, e.g. at least 5 years, 5 years or longer, some lived for decades, outlook improved over past 10 years. Usually with diseases like leukemia, the ability to get proper treatment is vital for survival and Mark can afford the best treatment

Her reason was that the shares were given by NDY and "sentimentally and reasonably these shares should belong to Dongyuan group". She made the decision even though she remembered SFT reminding her about her dad's and SZJ's cases, indicating her hatred against NDY was abating.

I guess as for any kind of cancer, different kinds of leukemia have different life expectancies, so I'm assuming this is for the most common type
