Facts. I don't know how they don't see that people barely take Thai BLs seriously, people actually watch with the mindset of 'just for the hot scenes' and the rest is down the shitter. They need better scripts, more dedicated acting and casting with good and matching chemistry, actors who are suitable to the scripts. Not this 'pick a ship' and 'pick a script' according to how popular they are nonsense they've been doing for so long. So much wasted talent and potential.

Without giving too much away, basically, Chi Cheng and Chengyu had a very um, no boundary sort of relationship. In the novel it hints that they used to fool around as teens and then in uni, Wang Shuo goads them into kissing each other one time, while he was dating CC, but then WS gets jealous because when they kiss, it's actually pretty intense and passionate. He wasn't happy about how close they were/are after that. So it's actually really POSSSIBLE for CJD to include the kiss in the series as a valid part of the story, I just hope we get to SEE it and it's not just implied. It'd be SO HOT 🕯️ _(:з」∠)_

I think there will always be those who like Thai BLs specifically because of the 'permanent' pairing thing (i.e: I am not one of them, I'd be happy to see even my fave Thai pairs changed up), but China was bound to dominate BL if they ever stepped back into the game, (lo and behold) and those who knew, ALWAYS knew, China > other countries BLs.

Snakes are slightly cool to touch (can change a bit depending on the temperature of your hands) and they are really smooth and firm, not slimy at all, and not cold.

I get you actually, I feel that way about cockroaches 😭 I usually turn away from looking at the screen if anything shows up in a movie or whatever, it's literally the ONLY thing I can't watch (if they're real, CGI doesn't bother me lol). They do feature the snakes quite a bit for the first several eps unfortunately, and real ones too, but MAYBE you can do the old 'put your hand up to block it' and focus on the subtitles action 😂
The show itself is so great, it'd be a shame to miss out, but of course, understandable if you'd rather pass.

I've seen the speculation about this, so I checked the broken down translation of 亲姐妹, and it means biologically related sisters, by blood. That's not on the level for me personally, cousins being together ain't up my alley so I'll stay gone unless the person who wrote this show ever decides to clarify differently.

Yes, I love filler, but only when it's done right. So far, RL has done a great job with filler, it's been interesting and fun to watch and it added emotional depth and relationship building, which Cn censored BLs have always done super well, so it's also great now that it's not censored.

Aaaaand you're not wrong lol, it's still the same about 80% of the time in 2025 BLs, I've dropped 3 BLs this week alone. I'm thinking in RL we will get more domestic filler before it's over, of course, MOREMORE, will be great, but I'm still glad we're going to see the 'established couple' arc for both pairs for a few eps at least after the upcoming fallout.

Random RL thought of the day:

I actually wish we could get MORE filler, like, scenes of them as pairs, and as a friend group, as established couples, going on double dates, each couple living together, going out together, hell even clubbing together, etc. RL has already given us some of these kinds of scenes but personally, I could watch more. BLs in general REALLY don't give us enough established relationship/domestic life arcs. They usually just get together and it ends, like wtf. I like my pairing established af. Underappreciated and untapped area of protentional for sure.

As someone who doesn't gaf about any of this (whether he cheated or not I really do not care either way), I just want to weigh in and say THANK YOU Chai Jidan, your casting choices were perfect, all four main leads are a big W.
