Addicted is still the best adaptation of that story despite the potato quality, low budget and the axing of the…
Imo Addicted was rapey trash. BUT 100% agree that China would dominate the industry if there was no censorship. Their potential in the BL industry and in the LGBTQ industry in general is being waaaaaaasted.
I'm going to keep watching this. That is all. . . . . . . P.S: I wanted to laugh because I feel like Ohm initially didn't want to open his mouth to the kiss because he had cake crumbs all up in there. LOL Usually they try to do these kissing scenes in one take too, and Mark is a Professional Kisserยฎ (we all know this), so if they did this kiss scene in one take, I don't blame Ohm for trying to swallow those crumbs first ๐
Welp, I LOVED this episode. I've already mentioned I watch this with the whole 'secret agent' thing as an aside, and truly, aside from that (and even sometimes including how silly it is), I have enjoyed every. single. episode. This episode was great too, I enjoyed the emotional aspect of it, I enjoyed the way the situation being revealed was not dragged out, Bai and Hei's 'break up' convo was good, Hei and Dou Keyi's conversation was concise and clear, and Bai's break down confession at the end was soooo good, I was relieved AF that Hei overheard him!! I was like 'don't let all that emotion go to waaaaaste'.
Highlight: - I mentioned in my comment on last week's episode that they left out some basic couple behavior scenes between Bai and Hei, so I was glad to see a flashback of some of that in this episode. Hope for more of those little moments. - I was unprepared for the hair grab lol but it worked.
Notes: They could have included a mention of the time passing between Bai being in hospital and then going home in the last stretch of recovery, after all, bro got shot with a rifle, he probs was in hospital for at least more than a week, maybe two, with where he was shot, but it can be assumed easily enough I guess.
Over all this BL is checking all my boxes, it's almost definitely going on my BL recc list on MDL at this point. I like the chemistry between the two MLs too and the natural interactions between all the characters and their varied relationships. I also like the clear dialogue/conversations. I am keen for the next episode, and I don't feel like the pace has been rushed at all, and we have three eps left! That's a big W imo.

Yeah, I remember seeing a poster like that, not the details like heights of whatever, but I remember it more clearly now that you mentioned who else is in it. I think Dew was wearing glasses on the poster. For yours and other interested viewers sakes, I hope you get your threesome XD
Pond made my faves list almost overnight after I saw him in JASP.er's Sadistic video, turns out he checks all my boxes in all his other media as well.
I hope the story escalates soon too, needs more action!
I love how Tae Kyung's actor gave us absolutely nothing in that kiss scene, masterful skills right there, to manage to be worse than a dead fish on screen kisser when your co-actor is putting in the effort. Noteworthily awful. Wow, so anyway, this show's name kept coming up in other KBL comment sections, like it was great, so decided to watch it. It was okay, and at least the episodes weren't too long. I settled on 6.5/10 because;
- Da On was not likable, I didn't like this dude even for one minute in 16 episodes, such a fake ass, dull character. Someone like that irl I wouldn't put up with five seconds even as a friend. And yet he was always there in the scene, supposedly a hot commodity. Hard pass. - Still, he was not as annoying as So Hee, I haven't experienced such an unlikable female character in a long time, this girl was a red flag whether it's as a friend or romantic interest, she outdid Da On for being unlikable. I generally don't have issues with female characters but yegh. And the fact they all forgave her? LOL bad joke. - Tae Kyung, honestly, is just not worth simping over. Period. What did bro do that made him so irresistible? Looks are subjective, fine, but aside from that? How was bro so in demand? Must be the cardboard behaviour....that's hot nowadays? Oh, it was supposed to be his tactless honesty? Alright, whatever floats whoever's boat. He'll be great at family gatherings and parties.
Shin Woo can do miles better, boy needs some more self esteem ffs. Namgung's got self esteem by the bucket load, his only fault was being nice to So Hee, because he too, can do better. Shin Woo and Namgung were great though, I liked them both. Between them and the production value and the good pacing, I settled on 6.5.

I haven't done any skipping yet mind, I'm okay with the pace for the most part. I do see some production errors and scenes drawn out that I think could have been done better or differently but eh, it's not a big deal. As for the cast, I only came here for Pond and I'm still only here for Pond, he's the only one I think is any kind of visual draw card in this. The story is enjoyable enough, but if he wasn't in this, I wouldn't be watching it XD haha
I think we've talked before about the fact I don't really go in for Gun in any shows, I tried his BL stuff and he never gripped me. Aside from watching Not Me, I passed over his other stuff. And I didn't even know the tall guy playing Night and Dream, but neither of them really stand out to me. In terms of their acting in the show, I think they're all doing fine, could be more intense emotionally, as I mentioned in the original comment, but otherwise, it's been fun to watch.
I too love a good size difference!!! We agree on that 100%. Hehe. It's one of the visuals that we don't see enough of sadly. You've been fantasizing about Dew acting in a BL playing a Top? Isn't he going to be in some GMMTV show? With a three way dynamic? I could be wrong, I don't follow the production houses that closely. For me, I've been stuck on the absolutely winning visual of Pond and Santa in a BL together (height difference INCLUDED), it's stuck in my head like crazy. I'm hoping in Me & Thee before, Pond's character inevitably ends up chasing Phuwin's character, that we get some scenes with Pond's character chasing Santa >:D
I also agree that Gun still looks crazy young, he is very smol in stature.
I think lowkey, the reason people think the pacing is slow is because there is no urgency (in the acting as well), emotions never run extremely high, despite the situation being so serious (I mean, their entire families have died ya'll, but they seem pretty zen for the most part).
And even though they're trying to introduce elements of danger and fear in the script, the next Leap Day is far away and this whole curse being based on a single day that is now so far off kind of takes the edge off. Imagine how they'd be scrambling if they were days away from the next Leap Day, a week, hell even a month away, when the show started, and the events had to take place all BEFORE that day came. Tighter timeline, more panic, more desperation. Hm. The show is still entertaining, but it does lack intensity suitable to the level of the curse. Just my opinion after watching the latest episode.
But some audience maybe not comfortable to watch it if uncensored. Maybe they need bromance not BL context. We…
Censored BLs are gay, censored or not, and Bromance and Censored BLs are not the same thing, the former is platonic brotherly love stories, the latter are non-platonic censored romantic love stories. Legally, the producers are FORCED to label these shows that way because of the homophobic government. But censored BLs are gay. Feel free to wear your no-homo goggles when you watch them, but they're still gay. ๐
It takes a lot to make me annoyed with a female character to the point where I think she's actually just written to piss the viewers off, and this So Hee is definitely that. Yikes, what a pain in the ass fr. Also, when does this Da On guy move on and leave Tae Kyung alone? I'm on episode and 9 and he's almost as annoying as So Hee at this point.
My thoughts exactly. Gosh! A forehead kiss would have been perfect to end Episode 9. The light, fluffy head pats…
They dropped the ball, as BLs often do after establishing the couple, they fail to properly direct actors to behave like a couple would. And you'd think or hope the actors might improv (based on their own life experiences with relationships) but these straight guys won't apply themselves more than is requested of them 9 times out of 10. It's pretty weak, acting and directing wise, but the standard for BLs are low in general, so I'm not exactly surprised lol
As for the next ep, I don't watch previews, so I'll be going in blind!
The stalker episode is what led me to drop this, I skipped most of the scenes but yes. I found myself not rushing…
I was fairly bored with the storyline even before that, just doesn't hold my interest even though objectively there's nothing wrong with the show. But the scene where he lets the girl off the hook is just trash writing. That sort of unhinged behaviour should not be viewed as forgivable or acceptable imo.
Glad seeing Top again, even if it was for like 15 minutes. LMAOI just watched two episodes yesterday, around midnight…
I'm hoping Top makes a reappearance as the mislead good guy, who joined the bad side out of desperation after getting out of prison, and then we'll be left to wonder which side he'll end up on in the end.
