Mermaid, the thing is P'Aof in this show is not focusing on Homophobia that much. In the real world Wai's actions would have unimaginable consequences. But in the series , it is clearly not so. He's dealing with homphobia under the guise of rivalry. That is why Wai's redemption makes sense. Because if homophobia and sexual orientation is out of the equation the consequences of wai's action doesn't turn out to be that grave. ITS LIKE A BIG REVEAL, that he's dating someone of the rival gang

Apparently everything in Bad buddy happens for a reason. I thought Pat coming to Wai's rescue was simply a power move to win his boyfriend's friend over. But upon reading this post I realised that Pat must have been upset with Pran being disappointed in him as he had stood by as a mere spectator when Wai was getting bullied.
