annoying BGM
Watch this for Alphabet Drama / Movie Challenge 2023. Turn out the story quite interesting, the acting not so bad, the costume etc also not so cheap. The only thing that annoy me to the point I almost drop this is the BGM. I don't know why, or it just pure my bad luck, but this time youku have that annoyed BGM where it should not be, or the disappearing voice altogether (almost like mango tv in YouTube if you know what I mean). The only help only the text still exist so we still understand what they talk about. Thankfully the story still quite interesting & it's only short one, so yeah I hang till the end.This drama tell a story 3 sister, Mo Shi Shi (SI), Mo Sha Sha (SA) & Mo Jing Jing (JJ) that Fall in love with the same guy, Shen Mu Han (MH), SA & JJ have the same mother while SI has different mother, but they all have the same father. The story begin when Si married to MH, but later on she died injustice & back to the past to the day of her wedding with MH. With the memory of the future, SI start to change her own fate & begin her love story with MH.
Shen Mu Han (MH) married with SI with one purpose, to take revenge to SI cause he think that SI kill SA (his love). But with time he learn that everything is not like what he think it is. MH start to know the real SI & of course fall in love with her, he also found out who he actually love in the first place.
With time rolling, SI & MH start to unravel many interesting past regarding SI's parent story. And finally SI get the revenge for her mother & light everything that evil try to hide. (I'm not gonna write it here, cause that the big spoiler & I'm not gonna ruin that much)
Except the annoying BGM for me this drama is like any other short series, feel quick & fast forward, where some story happen so d*mn fast.
Overall if you can ignore the BGM & disappearing voice, this story still quite bearable & good enough.

Watch this shortly after I watch Love of Replica, and due to my personal problem I even watch it together for some first few episode. Found the story quite similar, where the the same face girl take another girl place & later we find out that they are turn out to be twin. But with more episode we go through, turn out the 2 drama not really similar story.This drama tells a story about a girl name Nie Sang Yu (SY) that fall from the cliff & lost her memory, she is a wife of the marquis Ning, Ning Yu Xuan (YX). As the summary told us, SY is a woman with a reputation for treachery, scheming, and evil, but this new awake woman has completely different character from the description woman, she is cheerful & kind hearted woman. But because of the amnesia, everyone keep believe she is the same girl. And later on we find out that she is completely different woman, named Ji Man (JM) that turn out to be SY twin.
What I love about this drama:
+ The chemistry between Ding Yu Xi & Peng Xiao Ran. Although Ding Yu Xi wardrobe, hair style & character kinda remind me of his other character in The Romance of Tiger and Rose, especially the hair style.
+ The funny story of Gui Bai (GB) & Shui Niang Zi. Although also a little frustrated by stubbornness of GB, but yeah it's still kinda understandable.
+ The noble character of Yuan Lang. He is one man that never avoid his fault & finally that this very character that finally bring peace to JM & YX.
What I don't too like about this drama:
- The classic stupidity of the opponent, in here I mean Ling Jian Xing.
- The usual greedy of another family of the emperor, Prince Tan. Nothing much, just kinda boring with this plot.
- The too easy situation of ML. YX as usual ML, get all the trust from emperor & everything seem easy for him.
Overall this drama has nothing new or old to offer, but still quite good to watch.

This drama told story of almost impossible logic or science. If you read discussion below, there's someone talk about this story probably happen in the future timeline. Yeah that's kinda make sense, if we see the phone they use here, transparent phone in that case. But if really happen in the future timeline, why not just make it completely obvious with all the futuristic technology, or at least give more obvious sign that this happen in the future timeline. If yes, that's more make sense for the story in this drama to happen. So kinda patchy story, if I must say.
But the good about this drama:
+ The chemistry of Tsao Yu Ning & Yilia Yu never disappoint me. That's the advantage with pairing old couple together
+ This drama tell us that family is not only about blood relative, but more of connection. Sometime Asian drama talk about how important blood are, but lack the importance of the connection that build overtime. I'm not gonna spill here, cause it's a major spoiler. You definitely have to watch till the end to know what I mean.
+ Funny relationship between Tian Sui & her 2 men, Ding Bei Fan & Jiang Tian Cheng. But I really happy with who she choose in the end. It show that sometimes companionship is a lot more important than love at the first sight.
Overall even though feel this like push the boundary for the story to match with the whole picture, but this drama still provide us good chemistry between our lead, good friendship, action & good story to tell. So yeah I still say you can check this one out.

Just like Unique Lady
This story is like our dream, where we fall into the book & become character in the book & become FL/ML & falling in love with main character there. It's become lucky if the story is our own writing, so we know inside out about all the character & plot.This part/season of the drama is only the beginning where we get to know all the important character & plot. We see how FL, Yan Yi Yi/Consort Rong (YY), maneuver the story so she can save herself. In that maneuver, she create new characteristic for her character that make ML/emperor fall in love with her.
The reason I gave the title Just like Unique Lady, because this part of the story end like Unique Lady, which mid-part. Actually in my opinion the more fit to give the title of this drama not season, but part 1. And how much I really hope MDL not separate them, cause it suck to separate the review like this....
Overall all the story for this drama just the beginning in here & I quite excited to continue follow this journey

One perfect short drama
Sometimes pick the right short drama is like picking lottery, so many bad thing, but once you found a good one just like hit the jackpot. Haha...This short drama compare to other you can say one perfect little short drama. One short drama that not only offer you complete story (with beginning, middle & end), but also has very good meaningful story to tell. Although of course every drama still has it's minus point, but for me a short drama like this is just hit the perfect point. A little warning, I'm gonna spoiler a little, but still not a big spoiler so I don't think I'll gonna ruin your enjoyment for watching this drama. But if you don't want to spoiler at all, just skip reading my review then...
This drama tell a story about very unconfident woman named Chi Xiao Yu (XY), that often be doormat for the people in her office. The story begin when she found an app that can bring dishes that can change her characteristic, and the first order of course to give her the courage to change her as a doormat at her office. And from that the story go on... Unfortunately the effect from eat the dishes not long, only 15 min if I'm not mistaken & she has to order and eat it again. The interesting part is she's not only order that specific character, but also other character, like became queen of drama romance when she wants to date, etc....
What XY never expected, there's heavy price that she has to pay for the character that she's order. Like in real life, when something to easy, there're usually heavy price that we have to pay to gain it... Yeah in this case, her drawing talent, overtime her talent became worse and worse. And this the little MINUS of this drama, she never realize what make her talent became worse and worse, she just think because she's not practice it. So yeah she just continue practice her skill, while she's also stop ordering the special dishes. So yeah of course her skill become better and better again.
In the other hand turn out our ML, Su Yang (SY), also the customer of the character shop. But him in the other hand, only order 1 special dishes... Can you guess what...? Watch it for know it. Haha... And the heavy price he has to pay is his time & his appetite. He has no time for anything except his business & he can't eat anything except the special dishes he order from the character shop.
Overtime they bring us another price that they have to pay for eating the specialty dish. Our CP, XY & SY, think what the other like about themselves, the actual character of themselves or the character that they got from the character shop. That's also happen to ourselves in real life. When we put too many mask in our face for other to see, we will never gonna know what other person like more about us, the real us or just the mask that we put in our face, that sometimes we put to please other people.
What really interesting is the closure of this drama. Where both XY & SY finally stop ordering from the character shop & finally brave enough to show their real self to other person. Or to take quote from Wang Zhe, the owner of the character shop: "what people really need is the bravery to change themselves."
If you look for any short drama to watch. This is just one prefect short drama to be put into your watch list

Confusing plot + messed up translate
This actually kinda good quality short drama. The costume, make up, décor everything kinda not cheep & the cast acting bearable & quite good actually. But unfortunately MangoTV still can messed this up.As usual MangoTV translation kinda suck. Sometimes completely mistranslate, sometimes no translation including the missing voice (so no sound at all, only Hanzi or mandarin word in the screen). So yeah except you very influence with HanZi or at least you want to read the word completely, you will like me, not really completely understand the plot nor the word they said in here. Haha...
I don't know it's just me being not understand the plot or what. But I feel the plot or story sometimes like jumping from place to place. Like after Zhang Xiao Mei's (XM) sister gave birth suddenly the child is missing & there's goat. Or just like Zhou Qing Zhu (QZ) & XM run from Li Ye, suddenly there's 3 years gap & I don't really understand is QZ only dream or what, but they also say XM died 3 years ago. So d*mn confusing.
In the end I hang on till the last cause still hope the story can make more sense in the end & because this just short drama. If usual length drama, I'll gonna drop it....

Watch this originally for my 2022 Alphabet Drama / Movie Challenge, but in the end letter (A) filled with another drama. Hohoho... But however this drama got me quite hooked so I've decided to continue watch it until the end...This drama actually quite good, but the problem is this drama has too many story on hand. I more prefer if they more focus on one story. I mean like they have the story about the travelling and also the problem with the painting and the drug trafficker that maybe make the story more appealing, but in my opinion make it become too many story to tell.
This drama really attrack us with the scenery of china. Along their way we can see how beautiful China scenery, food and also the culture. Make me really want to visit China again and travel by backpacking....
I also really like how they develop the feeling between the couple. Jin Xiao Tian (XT) & Li Xin Yue (XY) building their trust with each other. Although at first really frustated with how stupid Sheng Xia (SX) toward Chu Zhi Han (ZH), but I really glad how in the end ZH finally can see how 'stupid' SX to him & decided to reply SX feelings.
This drama also not lack with problem.
- How stupid XY when she decided to bring Chu Hong Fei to court to accuse him acknowledge her dad's painting. Hello... XY don't have any proof but yet XY already so hasty to uphold justice to her dad... No wonder she lose the first time right...
- The problem with Hu Zhi Hui (ZH) & Ouyang seem so weird at first, but yeah finally everything explained in the end. But still how fast actually ZH & Ouyang trust XT also one big question mark
- The stupid of Ouyang. Usually when you are a big boss in the drug member, you have someone you trust. But here Ouyang seems to have no one as his right hand man. Like ZH or the other man, he seems have no trust in them. So that's why no wonder in the end he meet his end like that.
- The police forces that's seem easy to corporate. Haha... This is maybe just me watch too many police drama. But usually every police force at every city like all in the hand of Feng captain. He just need to pick up the phone to tell what XT's problem & like that everyone seem eager to help XT.
Overall this one good drama to watch. Just prepare urself for the long ride. Haha...

beautiful youth
Long time heard about this drama, but once again I never expected this drama to be so good. Watching this drama make me really feel how good to be youth again, feeling the first love & just being together with my friend at school without have to think or worried about all the problem in life except for homework & test....I think this is the second time I really want to smack the back of ML head because he is so stupid but yet adorable. Second time I scream to my screen "GEMEZZZZ" when I see how our Male character react. Gemez if I translate to English the closest word to describe it maybe something that have meaning frustated & also adorable. Like how stupid yet adorable Song Zi Qi and Kong Sha Di, especially when they have a fight after high school, oh so stupid yet adorable. & how stupid is our ML, Zhou Si Yue (SY), when he reject our FL, Ding Xian (DX), yet not long after that he finally admit his feeling & start to pursue DX, see stupid yet adorable. Really like how DX like give him lesson & not agreed immediately.
What I really like about this drama:
+ How not shy SY cry a few time & yet no one teasing him as cry baby. Like when he sad, frustated, moved by his friend, happy and all that emotional feeling. We're not often see man cry in our screen, because society makes us think man can't cry or consider sissy. But the truth man just like us woman, they have tears & feeling, why can't they cry if they want to...?
+ The chemistry between our main lead. Even from high school time, a few time I almost scream frustated to my screen for them (SY & DX) to kiss...... DX & SY chemistry is not all over the top, but from their eyes we can feel how deep & pure their feeling for each other.
+ How open SY & DX communication after they're together. Like how DX want their relationship changing, so no childish grumpy or rage, instead she explained to SY how she wants their relationship change into...
+ How fierce actually SY toward DX at the beginning of their university days. I agree with how SY look his relationship with DX & how DX actually a little bit stupid. If DX can only follow SY's step, they will not gonna ever be equal partner. So even though SY's word actually a little bit harsh, but it's really for the good of DX. But actually how funny that SY almost did the same stupid mistake with DX when at the distribution of majors in his high school he actually chooses Art instead science just for the sake he can still together with DX. Ah youth and their heart and head....
+ How cute to see all the couple really wait until they graduate high school to start their relationship.
+ How natural all the couple relationship progress. Even though they basicly you can say childhood friend, except You Ke Ke & Jiang Chen of course. Oh how beautiful if we have one childhood friend that eventually become our life parner.
The minus I can't think much. Maybe the duration still a little bit long, but they definitely not stretch the plot or whatever. For notes I still watch this with 1.5 speed & for me that the ideal speed to watch this drama. Oh and 1 more, until the last episode I still don't get what they mean by 'our secret'. Can't connect the title with the story. Better if they come out with another title instead...
Overall this is really really good youth drama.

unusual history political drama
it's the first time I really enjoy this kind of drama, where sword fight meet political & historical. Usually this kind of genre they made it pretty boring, although usually there is romance to help light the drama. But here they put comedy that place very cleverly with the character.This is really one of the most interesting drama with every character place their chess game very cleverly & interested. Expecially Xu Xiao (XX), he is one amazing chess player, he pave every stone to make the way for his son, Xu Feng Nian (FN). But FN himself also one interesting chess player, he refuse to follow the path that his father already pave for him & try to make his own way. Really interesting to see at first how FN is like always in the palm of XX, because XX can already predict what way FN will gonna take & already prepare his stone there too, but upon more episode we can see how FN actually also have hidden stone that he prepare for himself & to break the way that his father prepare for him.
This drama also have very unusual concept of martial art world. They have all that level that I don't too understand nor too care. But to see how they combine martial art & nature is really interesting.
This is the first time I'm not mad nor upset when they break the drama with season & cliffhanger to close the season 1. I really excited to wait for the season 2. This season close with how FN is preparing himself to be King of Bei Liang. I really want to see how FN is planning to make Jiang Ni his queen & how he will gonna handle the royal family...

A lot promise but....
Find this drama sometimes ago & seeing the trailer quite funny & today I decided to watch this.What I like:
+ This drama bring gender expectation to light really clearly. Like how woman supposed to flirt and wear lack of clothing & here we can see how man will gonna behave like woman in our society.
+ The moment of realization that Gao Zi Rui (ZR) had when he finally understand how he behave with his woman.
+ Liu Rui Lin & Dai Si really did they part good. We can see them in both society.
What I don't like:
The story will gonna perfect if only stop when ZR come back to his own world. But they have to make extra story where Jacky also come back to Xiao Xiao body. That's when the story become weird. Because that's also almost reach the end of the story so they like usual, fast forward it is.... The later part of the story really weird & not enough explanation. If they want to make it Jacky also come to our world I really hope that's happen in the second season or maybe full length drama is better execution.
Overall this short drama quite funny & not regret watching this. Hope we can see this in longer version...

Watch this because many recommend to me this movie. Quite wondering how good is this until that many person write this as recommendation.Actually the story itself quite confusing to me. I don't quite understand the meaning behind it. Because once again it just short movie, so the duration really limited. Really hope this can be at least full length movie instead the short one like this.
OK what I like about this drama:
+ We can feel the vibe of the 'friendship' between our main lead. Their chemistry also good.
+ The story really direct due to the short duration.
Overall this just another short movie to fill ur time...

Quite agree with what Chinese Drama Fan wrote: 'If not because of Zeng Shun Xi (aka Joseph Zeng), I don’t think I would have continued with this drama. The writing is weird, the dialogues are weird, the logic is weird, Liang Jie’s acting and character are weird, and the English title is even more weird. The only saving grace is Zeng Shun Xi’s acting and his character which I really like a lot.' Yeah this drama u can said saved by Joseph Zeng. I heard a lot about the bad aspect of this drama, almost decided not to watch this, but since I watch Rebirth with you I quite like Joseph Zeng & I also love Liang Jie so still I decided to watch this. I quite like it actually but yeah so many plot holes.The plot holes:
- Isn't it Emperor decided to 'imprison' Zhao Xiao Qian (XQ) in the town when he downgrade him into duke. Why can he still go to war. Isn't that already against Emperor order...?
- When he XQ 'divorce' Xie Xiao Man (XM)...? Isn't when he go to war they just separated not 'divorce'...? Why she can still be remarried...?
- The weird story of the other couple... Ming Gu (MG) & Zhan Zhi (ZZ) quite adorable couple, but the story toward they become a couple quite weird & forced...
- The rush ending.... How fast since XQ back to capital city until he can investigate everything regarding the Prime Minister. & how the prime minister last 'resistance' feel really rush to complete the duration.
What I like:
+ The chemistry of our Main lead. Not as good as Liang Jie & Xing Zhao Lin, but also not bad.
+ MG & ZZ story even feel weird & forced but I quite like MG for not continue being stubborn & stupid girl who insist on her love for Xing Zhou, but she can see the goodness of ZZ & ZZ love for her.
Overall this just light love story to fill ur free time.

Hey!!! I've successfully completed this whole drama in one day!!! Yes that's addicted this drama to me. Made me don't want to drop or even pause it.This drama is about love, friendship & also life decision. As this drama started we can see our 3 females lead (FL) in the intersection of their life, either with love or job. As the drama go we also can see they find new love & new direction in their love.
The FL in this drama is some picture of our (audience) life. We have at least met one of these 3 women, the quirky Liu Jing, the pretty Fang Xin or the strong Xia Meng. Their struggles, their friendship, their life is really relate to our daily life & struggle.
Apart of all of what I wrote above I also like they not only give us the adult life of our FL but also their youth, that give us some kind of narration of their character. What more... They also give us a glimpse of the ML youth story also what shape their character.
Overall even though this drama doesn't have very popular actor/ess to upgrade the rating, but this drama really one good drama to watch. Every problem have meaning & every decision we make must be lived wholeheartedly.

another bored plot
Watch this like Blizzardahm, also for Cheng Xiao and Luo Yunxi, also not hoping too much for the plot nor the chemistry. But in the end I really bored with the plot of crazy psychopath that doing anything in the name of love. So yeah I drop the star.The first part drama still catch my interest, but the later part really bored me until I can't take it anymore and just decided to jump watch the last episode. My lost interest start after the Huo Jian arrested and the bad buy swift to Xie Ming Hao. After I can guess what this plot will gonna bring in the end, and after the reveal of what happen in the past to Su Xie Yi's dad I decided just stop watching and just watch the end.
The only good thing from this drama is in my opinion is the song. I quite love the soundtrack. But everything else just mediocre. The chemistry between Cheng Xiao and Luo Yunxi also not so much, not enough to save the drama. I more love to see the chemistry between Luo Yunxi & Bai Lu. Really looking forward for their drama this year.
Overall another mediocre drama to watch if only u are the fans of the actror/ess that played this drama.

Story about determination and changing
OMG another beautiful love story from republican era. I really love this beautiful love story between Tan Xuan Lin (XL) and Mu Wan Qing (WQ).This drama is about determination, friendship, love and of course the changing. Let me explain...
Determination:
We talk about the stubbornness of Tan Sang Yu in chasing Pei Shao Jun (SJ) and also about Su Hong Chen (HC) in chasing Gu Yue Shuang (YS). They so determine to decide the other one is 'the one' for themselves.
Friendship:
Between Xu Guang Yao (GY) and his companion, SJ & JC. And of course GY & XL bonding with their right hand man.
Love:
No need to said, of course the love between our main lead, WQ & XL. Sometimes really envy that kind of trust and bonding like WQ & XL has. Trust without word & with all their heart. Like when XL try to cut ties with WQ, WQ still can understand and trust XL without in the end even try to has attitudes toward XL. If that me, I don't know can I do that or not.
The changing:
The one that want to change can feel the wind of changing, the one don't want can't feel it. I mean like Pei Xun (PX) & Xu Bo Jun (XBJ). PX at the end accept the fact that the world is change & his opportunity greater if he join forces with his enemy rather than keep fighting, on the other hand XBJ still insist with his own justification just be the loser in the end. And of course like our SJ, he wants to change his attitude with his dad, he's not only repair his relationships with his dad but also get everything in the end. See... Changing is important.
What I really love about this drama, except the one I wrote above is one.
1. No crazy love rival. No one is really blindly insist with the war they can't win in love. I mean like YS, I really like her word where she said: "I knew XL for very long time, if XL choose me I already be his woman from long time ago."If only the other SML/SFL is have that kind of logic thinking, so they don't need to be the annoying love rival...
2. No continuing of revenge. All the old man fault stop with their generation. Like how WQ can still be friend with GY even his dad is the reason her brother died.
And one more thing that I really really really love. I really love the soundtrack 辰如眸 (Xīng chén rú móu) (eyes like star). If there's none better soundtrack I think this will be my soundtrack of the year ^_^.
Upon all the good thing this drama have. Only one thing that sometimes annoyed me. The singer in the singing hall voice never be sound, they replace it with BGM. I don't know why. I mean like when WQ & XL announce their relationship in paramont, there was a singer that sing, instead they give us the singer song they replace it with their own soundtrack or BGM. Why not make the singer singing the soundtrack if the problem is copywright... The BGM not even rhyming with the singer mouth. So yeah quite bothering me. Thank God that kind of scene is not much...
Overall: This drama really makes excited to watch the next and next episode. I don't want to stop watch this drama. Long time I don't feel this exciting with the drama that I've watched. Really happy to watch this drama.
