My May 2025 recommendations challenge
Watch this for my May 2025 recommendations challenge by DaffodilDaze. As usual, it was quite a headache trying to read MDL’s summary, so let's start with the story…This is a story about family dynamics, self-discovery, and friendship.
The story about Tong and Mew, who meet when Mew moves into Tong’s grandma’s house and becomes his neighbor. Mew is a quiet boy who is often bullied by his classmates because they think he’s too feminine or "sissy." Their friendship begins when Tong saves Mew from bullies one day.
One day, Tong’s older sister goes missing during a hiking trip with her friends. Because of that tragedy, Tong and his family decide to move out of their old home. As a result, Tong and Mew grow apart and lose touch.
Years later, they meet again and begin reconnecting. This time, Mew is forming a band with his friends, where he serves as the lead singer and composer. When Mew reunites with Tong, he’s struggling to write a love song. Meanwhile, Tong is dealing with his own issues—he’s in the middle of questioning his sexuality, and there are problems at home due to his father turning to drinking after losing his daughter.
So, how does their story progress from here? Will rekindling their friendship help them face and overcome their personal struggles?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I liked:
- The story feels very close to reality.
- I really appreciate how Tong and Mew take their time to understand and admit their sexuality, instead of rushing into things like many typical teenage characters do.
What I don't like:
- The mystery involving June. I’m really curious about who she is.
- It’s a beautiful theatrical drama, but I don’t really like this kind of drama.
Overall, I’m happy that DaffodilDaze picked this for me. If I had waited to watch it on my own, it would’ve stayed at the bottom of my list

I’ve wanted to watch this for a long time, but I was a bit hesitant. Still, I’m happy I finally added it to my list.A long time ago, I watched a version of this story starring Tony Leung. Haha… So yeah, I only vaguely remember the plot. But since this new version stars Chen Zhe Yuan and Hu Yi Tian as the leads, of course I still wanted to watch it.
This is the story of a crazy woman’s obsession: Yao Yue (YY) who falls in love with Jiang Feng (JF), but JF doesn’t love her — instead, he loves YY’s maid. In a fit of jealousy, YY kills JF and his wife. When she tries to kill their twin sons, YY’s sister, Lian Xing (LX), suggests they separate the twins. That way, when they grow up, they’ll end up killing each other instead.
So the plan begins.
YY and LX take one of the twins and raise him themselves, naming him Hua Wu Que (HWQ) . The other twin is taken by JF’s sworn brother, Yan Nan Tian (YNT). Before YNT can bring the child home, he decides to seek revenge on the mastermind behind JF’s death — Jiang Qin (JQ) . Unfortunately for YNT, JQ had already planned to destroy him. YNT ends up trapped in the Villains’ Valley, and because of that, the second twin is raised by the Ten Great Villains, who name him Xiao Yu (XY).
The Ten Great Villains try to raise XY to be the top villain in the martial arts world. Fortunately, they fail at making him truly evil. Instead, over the years, XY becomes a mischievous prankster — clever, playful, but with a good heart.
One day, XY decides to leave the Villains’ Valley and begin his journey into the martial arts world. Once outside, he meets many people — both good and bad. Some are like durians: rough on the outside, but soft and kind inside. Others are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Most importantly, during his journey, XY meets HWQ and also probably his first love, Tie Xin Lan. Along the way, XY makes friends, gains enemies, and slowly uncovers the truth about his past.
So how does the journey between XY and HWQ end? Will they ever discover that they’re actually twin brothers? Or will they fall right into YY’s plan and end up killing each other?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ Chen Zhe Yuan and Hu Yi Tian gave great performances. Especially Chen Zhe Yuan — this role showed a side of him I haven’t seen before, which was a nice surprise.
+ Blood relations can be a really fascinating theme. You can't deny or hide your blood ties no matter how hard you try.
+ Even though I watched it now, I didn’t feel like the story was outdated at all.
+ I really hope more modern dramas can have interesting stories like this one. No matter how many times it's been remade, it never feels boring.
What I don't like:
- I wasn’t a fan of the final scene. While the story technically wraps up all the main conflicts, adding just a few more minutes would have made it perfect. For example, if all 2 main couples had gathered together at the end, ready to start a new journey in the martial arts world...
Overall, this classic story gets a fresh twist with newer faces in the lead roles, bringing back some fun and excitement to the drama.

Long time heard about this one, finally watched this. Story about Hira, who is at the bottom of the class, because of his closed & introverted personality and stuttering speech. Because of his personality since childhood, his worried parents consulted a doctor & he gave a suggestion to give Hira a camera. Since then, Hira views the world through his camera lens.
New school years have always been stressful days for Hira because he had to introduce himself in front of the class again. But this year, because of Kiyoi Sou, who walks through the classroom door at the exact time Hira introduces himself, Hira regards him as his ‘hero’.
Apart from that, Hira is also mesmerized with Kiyoi beauty. When Kiyoi notices it, Hira finds himself pulled into Kiyoi's gravity, following him everywhere and attending to his every need.
Popularity comes easily to beautiful Kiyoi, who is always surrounded by his classmates. But one day, everything comes crumbling down, when Kiyoi fails to get into the stardom. Suddenly everyone starts to bully Kiyoi & when that happens, only Hiro still stands by Kiyoi's side, and even defends him.
After that, their relationship started to become more intimate. but at the same time the graduation day is also approaching. So, how will the relationship between Kiyoi & Hira go forward when they separate after high school…?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ The chemistry between Hagiwara Riku & Yagi Yusei
+ The good 2nd lead, Koyama Kazuki. Sometimes the best thing about Japanese drama is how they really respect people's boundaries…
What I don’t like:
- The stupid master - servant relationship between Kiyoi & Hira. Sometimes I really don’t understand Japan… Maybe to Japanese people this is quite usual, but I don’t agree with it…
Overall this is quite good for the Japan BL I’ve watched so far…

My April 2025 recommendations challenge
Watch this for my April 2025 recommendations challenge by TianD.Story about M, a young man who decided to drop everything to look after his dying grandmother. However, it is not out of love that he took the role of a devoted grandson but for a hope of substantial inheritance worth millions.
M got the idea from his cousin, Mui, who got the biggest inheritance from her grandpa after she took care of him during his final days. So, hoping to get the same result with Mui, M is going to great lengths to become the apple of his demanding grandmother’s eye before time runs out.
At first, M was indeed doing it half-heartedly & his grandma knows it by heart. So, M goes to Mui again to learn about ‘the fastest’ way to win his grandma's heart. Mui 'teaches’ her way to M. So, slowly but sure, day by day M is getting closer to his grandma.
But was all M efforts taken into account by his grandmother? Will M get the inheritance he hopes in the end…?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ Told a story about the bitter truth about the reality of family and money:
> Where sometimes filial and desire for inheritance overlap.
> We really can't measure the love of our elders or between siblings to their mother with younger generations the same.
+ In the end M did learn about his grandma loneliness & really did all the grandson has to do with his whole heart.
What I don't like:
- How the title is kinda misleading. I think it's better with the other version, The Chinese Family. Reading the title I kinda hope they help each other to gather the money for their grandma.
Overall this good movies that really tell the truth between expectations & reality in the family. And also how to genuinely put ur heart for ur family

My April 2025 recommendations challenge
Watch this for my April 2025 recommendations challenge by 𝑰𝑼 𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒂 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏. Quite a unique story about Reborn for Second Chance that is quite different from other similar stories.Story about Dou Zhao (DZ), who at the start of the drama as the wife of Jining’s Marquis [Wei Ting Yu (TY)] and Song Mo (SM), a rebel who demanded the emperor to find the one who was responsible for his uncle's death. On the same day SM started his rampage in the capital, DZ also finds her husband having an affair with her step sister, Dou Ming (DM). Trying to break from the marriage, DZ instead finds herself entangled by SM, because her husband (TY) pinned herself for having an affair with SM. With that excuse, TY and the man behind the mask had the reason to exterminate SM & DZ.
When everything was so chaotic & the evil plan to exterminate SM & DZ seemed successful; DZ woke up and found herself back to her childhood (around age 10). Shocked by the fact but happy because she can meet her mother again. DZ also finds out, she brought the book of prophecies from the previous life to this new life. With this knowledge ahead, DZ plans to change something for the future. So, she started to live her life again as a kid.
But before she could truly grasp the reality, she found herself having to mourn for her mother’s death again. But this time, she is well aware of the reason for her mother’s death & plans carefully about her steps to make a difference to the cause of her mother’s death, her father’s concubine, Wang Ying Xue (YX). Oh and a big difference indeed she made to YX & her daughter, DM, life.
In the previous life, YX & DM had a happy life by gaining all the support they needed from their father [Dou Shi Ying (SY)] & Dou’s family. But this time, DZ made sure it didn’t happen like before, DZ made SY feel guilty for her mother’s death & made the marriage life between SY & YX quite unhappy. And another difference this time, DM wasn't raised by YX herself & that’s really made the DM’s personality quite a big difference. This is important for later.
And after this we jump to the main event, where DZ starts to live her life in the countryside guarded by her grandma. In the countryside, with the knowledge of important future events & the help from the book of prophecies, DZ starts to plan her future & her wealth. DZ gets quite a name for herself in the countryside. And she just lived freely in her youth, until the day came that she must come to the capital…
In the capital, she once again entangled herself to SM & TY. And it’s all stretched all the way to the messed up political chaos. So, how in the end SM & DZ manage to get away from all of that…? Will what happened in the future last time also happen this time…? Or will DZ manage to change all of it…?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ Quite an interesting story that is quite different from other similar tropes. Although ML also returned to his childhood, he didn’t really remember much & just lived his life to the fullest.
+ Some people's personalities are really changing, and the biggest change is DM. She’s changed from a green tea girl to a kind but weak girl. Really talk about the butterfly effect & how the environment you grow up in really affects you.
+ How DZ & SM support each other
+ All the support DZ & SM get from their friends
What I don’t like:
- Although it is an interesting story, unfortunately not so much in the overall story. They overcomplicated the plot with all the entangled chess play. I mean in the end it’s all just one man’s plan, that in the end I really don't know should be praise or just condemn it because it's just a messed for me
- FL & ML are not as smart as I hope
Overall this is quite a good story. But if you want to watch a more interesting and better story about changing the future, just look for another title.

Watched this because many people said this was a good one. And also there're Dylan Wang & Tian Xi Wei too. So I decided to watch this.Story about Yang Ling (YL), a modern office worker, who is transported to the Da Feng Dynasty, where he becomes Xu Qi An (QA).
At first QA is a useless lad who is degraded in his family. QA lived with his uncle’s family, and his aunt really didn't like him. But since YL entered QA body, everything changed.
Soon YL gets introduced to this world, he quickly learns that in this world magic is a normal thing. Yet intellectuals & politics are still highly appreciated.
So, using his memories of poetry from the modern world, YL aka QA started gaining popularity among the scholars. Not only that, YL aka QA also uses his modern knowledge and reasoning to solve bizarre cases, earning the title of top investigator. QA started from the lower rank, a "copper gong", night watchman and soon promoted into the silver gong.
After sometime QA also starts to know some influential people. Among these people the one that really appreciates & thinks highly about him is Wei Yuan (WY). The more QA understands WY kindness and appreciation for QA, the more QA feels grateful & respects for WY.
And soon, QA also started getting entangled in a bigger mess in the kingdom, and started to deal and even offend the emperor himself. So, how will the QA journey enden in the end…? Will YL be able to get back to his world?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ This is quite a funny drama. A few time they succeeded in making me laugh out loud.
+ The journey of QA is quite interesting to watch.
+ The crazy & messy political story you find nowhere else.
What I don't like:
- quite a boring plot for most of the time
- I don't d*mn care too much about the plot. If not because it suddenly becomes more interesting toward the end, I'm actually gonna rate this quite low.
Don't know whether to put it into like or not, but if you entered this with expectation about Dylan Wang & Tian Xi romance, you probably need to quick kick it from ur though. This is more like Joy of Life kinda situation, where politics are more dominant the whole drama.
Overall this is just another title on my list. Below I'll write some SPOILERS!!! Read it at your own risk.
==================================================
SPOILER ALERT!!!

This is kinda an open ending, with a more confusing plot. I don't know I will watch this or not, if there's a 2nd season.

Watch this out of nowhere just as the break between my dramas... In the end quite happy to watch this...Story about Bao Zheng (BZ) before he become the famous Judge Bao. BZ comes to Yong Tian academy to investigate the mysterious death of some students. People said it's the king of hell that killed them. So far, there are 5 students who died, and each of their death represent 5 levels of hell, that's why people keep saying that it's king of hell doing.
BZ who's not believe with the nonsense about king of hell started to investigate it, at the same time he also investigate his missing teacher.
When he started investigating, he experience a lot of weird stuff going on. But not because of king of hell, more like people doing magic or drugs to do evil stuff. So together with Zhan Zhao & Ouyang Qing, BZ continue his investigation about the students & also his missing teacher.
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Overall for underrated movies, this is one good production.

Everyone keeps telling how great the chemistry between William & Est. So I decided to check this out to find out for myself. Hoho…Story about Thame & Po. Thame is the lead singer of Mars boyband. And Po is a new recruit, hired as a videographer to document behind the screen Mars group for their final concert before disbandment. The company had plans to send Thame to Korea & learn to be an Idol. & since Thame is the lead singer & the most famous from Mars, without him the company values Mars to be unworthy to be held on, therefore the company just planned to disband the group with the departure of Thame.
But soon, Po discovers hidden truth beyond the band disbandment, that it is all forced by company to Mars group, while all the members are really reluctant to be separated. So, starting with Thame, Po started to help the members to be united & find the strength to fight against the company. And with the right first impression between each other, & Thame-Po closer interaction with each other, slowly but surely their feelings begin to bloom into something else.
But the problem remains the same for Mars & their company. Will all the effort Thame, the group & Po put on Mars successfully make them stay together as the group or will the company still insist to disband the group & just send Thame to Korea by himself…? And how about the relationship between Thame-Po itself, will the fans ever discover their affair…? If so, what will the fans reaction be…?
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ The chemistry between Willam & Est is like everybody talking about. Simple yet right.
+ The close truth to the ‘bad apples’ of the entertainment industry.
+ The Mars member relationship. After watching this, I realized that they really are indeed members of the LYKN group. I really hope their relationship is just like in the drama.
+ We all have mixed feelings for Pemika [CEO of Oner Entertainment]. Is she really bad as a person, because she just thinks about Oner’s interest & just ignores the member's wish? Or is she good, cause she really thinks of each member as an individual apart from the group? But I really happy my feeling for her right from the start.
Well overall this is really one good drama. Below I’ll write what I don’t like & that’s quite a big spoiler. So… Read it at your own risk...
=================================================================================
SPOILER ALERT!!!
=================================================================================
What I don’t like:
Although the drama is quite true about the bad of the entertainment industry, here are some stupid things that are not really in line with that perspective.
- How stupid for Thame-Po to be just out in the open space without really needing to conceal Thame's face, yet no one really photographs them together.
- How easy in the end Thame just admitted Po to be his boyfriend. I mean the last episode, where Po introduces Thame as his boyfriend, he’s not even bothered to ask his friend to not share the photo to the public…. Thame is still the idol in the end…

March 2025 recommendations challenge
Finally watched this because of recommendations from kxllerwong. As usual, story first…
Story about the first emperor of China & his assassination attempt. The King of Qin was always referred to as a tyrant king, because he's the one that started the war against other kingdoms. The King's purpose was to unite the whole of China under 1 flag.
Our story opened with a hero named nameless, who arrived at the Qin state's capital city to meet the king of Qin. The king has just survived an attempt on his life by three feared assassins (Long Sky, Flying Snow and Broken Sword). Nameless claims that he had slain the three assassins, and displayed their weapons before the king. The king was impressed & told Nameless to tell his assassination story. As the story progresses, Nameless also sit closer and closer to the king.
After told the story to the king & sit really close to the king, suddenly the king realize something odd about Nameless’s assassination story. But, will it be too late to stop Nameless’s assassination attempt if he really wanted to killed the king?
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ This is a beautiful movie. Beautiful scenery & fighting choreography.
+ All the familiar faces mean all the actor/ess are so good.
+ Beautiful meaning in the end. How Nameless understand the purpose of the king.
What I don't like:
- Boring movie. Sorry but I'm never really a fan of Zhang Yi Mou. His movies are always beautiful, but boring.
- The useless story. I understand the beautiful meaning behind this, but when the ending comes, I feel I've wasted 1h more of my life.
So, overall this just another completed movie in my list

I don't know want to write a review or not about this special ep. But seeing so d*mn many good review makes me want to said something from my point of view.Much like Eliot_Rulez, when I don't think this special episode can make the drama worse than it already was, they prove me wrong... Haha.... All the stupid little thing the drama had, still happen in this special episode. And they make it even worse with the sad ending, yet give us the little open ending after the end credit.
What the story? Truth to be told, I don't really understand much. Cause this special ep makes me bored after 30min & I just jump watch to the ending, and a little back track to several minute here & there. But from what I can gather, they had a stupid man who had grudge & gank them all up. But the way he take revenge & the things he did still a stupid one & only can happen in the drama, they're really not learn to do a little bit realistic way that still possible to happen real life.
So, if there will be season 2 will I watch it... UGH.... I don't think I will, maybe for a little bit to learn how joke will come to jake life again...

Interesting short story
Stumble upon this after I click Recommendations on 7 First Kisses pages.Story about Kwon Mi Na (MN) a high school girl, a new transfer student that had bad rumors about her being bad luck for those close to her. In this school first we get a glimpse about that as a false rumor, because she had her longtime friend, Kim Da Won (DW) who was also the school’s top student.
Later we get introduced to 3 others of her man, Kim Ro Woon (RW), the star baseball pitcher. Baek Ju Ho (JH), a bad boy who often entangled himself in fighting. And the last is Kang Cha Ni (CN), a boy who is passionate about dancing. Which boy will capture Mi Na’s heart?
That's pretty much the story without giving any spoilers. Overall this is quite a good & unique story. But on the other hand, it is also a forgettable one. Below I’ll write more specific info about the boys and the uniqueness that this short drama has, but that also means SPOILER ALERT!!! Read it at ur own risk.
==================================================================================
SPOILER ALERT!!!
==================================================================================
The uniqueness: It's like you are playing the story game to choose your own ending. This drama consists of 7 episodes; ep 1 is about the introduction of MN & 4 boys, ep 2 is story about DW & RW, ep 3 is story about JH & CN. Ep 4 is about the ending of RW. Ep 5 is about the ending of DW. Ep 6 is about the ending of JH. And ep 7 is about the ending of CN.
I don’t like how they set-up the order of the episodes, and one of the reasons I lower the score a little bit. I prefer they finish the story about DW & RW first then go to the story of JH & CN.
Anyhow… Let’s talk about the boys…
DW is a childhood friend of MN, they knew each other when they’re little kids. DW is an active member of school radio & he is the one that brings MN to that club. But because of MN's bad rumor, she almost did not get into that club, so DW made an agreement with his team, if MN successfully interviewed RW she could join the club. And that’s how MN got to know RW.
RW at first does not really care about MN, but one word from MN that shows how she pays attention to RW needs instead of her own agenda, got him interested. And there’s an incident involving MN that made them closer. Slowly but surely, MN clumsiness is really attracting RW attention.
JH is a bad boy by appearance, but in the past, how MN never really judged JH by his rumors really attracted him & they end up dating. One day, JH got in an accident & that made him can’t show up to their date. The angry MN thought JH abandoned her & at the same time she also moved school, so MN & JH just lost contact. They meet again in this new school & JH tries to get closer to MN again to reenact their relationship & explain the misunderstanding.
MN meets CN after the incident with RW happens, she hides from all the students that blame her as the cause of RW incident, in the storage room. The cheerful CN attracts MN attention, and later also how CN also manage to cheer MN when there's a bad thing in her life. Later we learn something magical about CN, but I’m not gonna reveal it here.
That’s the stories of MN & her 4 boys. So, which ending do you choose…? The one that is the most interesting for me is CN. But I always have a soft spot for childhood friends, so I'm probably gonna choose MN & DW.

Watch this cause people buzzing about it. Let's just prove it... As usual MDL summary a little messed up. Let me tell the story from my perspective ^^Story about San, a Chinese immigrant, who fell in love with Khun Wat, the daughter of a Thai aristocrat. Their romance began when she helped him recover after he was severely injured, healing him with the "five-colored stone" at NiWa temple. Their different background at that time really make it impossible for them to be together, more over Khun Wat had fiancé, Third. When San & Khun Wat decided to eloping, Third caught up to them & by accident he shot Khun Wat instead San, that's resulting for Khun Wat to dying. The panic San brought Khun Wat to NiWa temple & attempted to use the mystical stone's power to save her, but it was in vain. The only way for them to be together again was for San to enter a century-long contract of immortality with the temple goddess, agreeing to wait for Khun Wat to be reborn. The catch was that he would be tormented every night and if he failed to reunite with her after 100 years, he would also face a tragic death for eternity.
After patiently waiting for 100 years, San finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. NiWa goddess give them some clue about the reincarnation of Khun Wat. So, San along with Tao, the priest of the temple, & the family follow the guidance from their goddess & end up bump into Vee. Tao, who is follow the strict guidance from their goddess believed Vee to be Khun Wat's reincarnation. But San resist that idea, cause the problem is Vee is a man. & San didn't believe Khun Wat reincarnation will be a man & more over after they learn about Vee life is so contrast with Khun Wat's life. All that added to the character of Vee himself that at first not so good in San's eye, makes him got more annoyed by Vee.
So the bickering is started in San's heart. Cause although he didn't want to believe Vee as the reincarnation of Khun Wat, but all the symptom & indication that Vee is indeed the right reincarnation is so clear in front of San's eyes. Like how the pain San feel because of the tormented that cause by five-colored stone is much better even almost non existed when Vee is by his side. And slowly but sure San also can see the good side of Vee.
When everything seems great, San feeling toward Vee is much better, and San also finally accepted Vee as the reincarnation of Khun Wat, came Watfah into the picture. Watfah is like the mirror image of Khun Wat. And when Watfah open her mouth, San shock cause Watfah know all the story of him & Khun Wat. And when Tao check Watfah background, is more precise with Khun Wat. So all the confusion started again about who supposed to be Khun Wat reincarnation, Vee or Watfah? And what about San feeling himself, will it change back to Watfah that have the same face with Khun Wat?
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like & don't.
What I like:
+ The good acting from Daou Pittaya Saechua & Offroad Kantapon Jindataweephol. & The chemistry between them
+ Portraying how we can't judge book by it's cover. Like Vee & Watfah.
+ The cute little family that San has. Especially Ju.
What I don't like:
- The crazy beginning. The priest in the temple just tell the secret of five-colored stone to San who was no one back then. Even with Khun Wat present, that kind of secret is not for all the people to know.
Overall this quite unique story you can enjoy.

Tan Song Yun & Zheng Ye Cheng of course here I come… Another messed up summary from MDL. Let me tell the story from my version.Story about Ji Ying Ying (YY) a girl from a famous brocade family in Yizhou. Her father created a perfect color of red, that has been said to overcome all red. That made a lot of people envious of YY’s dad & finally they plotted to kill YY’s dad. YY’s dad was accused of making a fake brocade as a tribute for the emperor & being murdered as the result. The young YY who witnessed her dad murdered, traumatised by the red color.
After YY’s dad died, even though their family gets amnesty & can live normally, Ji's family still have a tainted reputation because of their dad affair. But all the problems didn’t make Ji’s family avoid brocade business. Now, the kids in Ji’s family grow up. YY is very skillful in coloring the silk thread while her brother, Ji Nan (JN) is a weaver expert.
YY had a childhood sweetheart that’s also her fiance, Zhao Xiu Yuan (XY). For years they determine to be together no matter what the obstacle in front of them. But it all became extremely hard when a daughter of the influential Niu family, Niu Wu Niang (WN), took interest in XY. And finally XY gives up YY in order to protect her & ends up marrying WN.
On the other hand, YY also met Yang Jing Lan (JL) when she’s still a little girl & JL fell in love with YY, but now when they met up again YY doesn’t recognize JL. JL went back to town as the new brocade inspector, & YY entangled with him to investigate all the things related to the brocade industry. The strange feeling getting warmer & trust build up with every case they investigate together, making them getting closer with each other. Slowly but surely YY’s feelings also start to grow for JL.
And when YY and JL feeling finally became mutual with each other, YY once more got entangled with more serious and deep trouble. And because MDL already spoiled us, it’s all related to the prince of Nanzhao Kingdom. So, how YY & JL take care of the problem & be happily ever after with each other… ^^
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like and don’t.
What I like
+ The good chemistry between Tan Song Yun & Zheng Ye Cheng.
+ I’m quite surprised to see that China is more and more daring to put hidden LGBTQ+ in the drama. Hoho…. I’m talking about the relationship between WN and her maid. Oh don’t lie to ourself that it’s the usual relationship between master and servant, that’s GL all the way from hidden till so obviously standing in your face… Haha…. ^^
+ The friendship between YY & all her brocade friends.
+ The cute prove themself for JN & Sang Shi Si (SS) to their woman. Especially SS. I’m really happy when he turns out not just good for nothing man.
+ The hard fact how so easy to hide or even turn the fact and lie upside down if you have power. This drama really tells us so early about the reality or the fact behind YY’s dad's case, but so so hard to turn it over. And how easily Niu Jin (NJ) uses his power.
+ The smart woman who takes power. In this drama, I think I’ve seen the most how women take control in business in costume dramas (ancient times). I mean like in Yang & Hua’s family is the wife that takes care of the business & the man, especially in Hua’s family, only enjoys & takes advantage of the fact.
What I don’t like
- The stupid case of how sometimes people really overestimate relationships and underestimate people's greed for power. I’m talking about NJ & his superior. How his superior never thinks NJ can betray him just because he already helps NJ in so many ways.
- Once more just how they made ML seem invincible. I know we see many times how JL almost died. But it’s like every time he successfully turns it around.
- I don't understand how easily Cheng Feng Ze turned around the fact that he was almost captured but easily got away with it…
Overall this is an interesting drama to watch. But I can't say you lose something if you’re not watching this…

Quite curious when I heard this will gonna have special episode... Well... unfortunately much like Eliot_Rulez wrote: "While the series was bad, this was even worse. It added nothing to the story, except to have two leads of the original Thai "Love in the Air" in it."Anyhow... Story first...
This story like Thai special revolve only about our 2 couples love life. All of them couple now, and because Arashi & Fuma make their lovers jealous, of course not deliberate even though they make it seem deliberately, Rei & Kai fled to go on their own vacation.
I don't know what the purpose of making this special episode, maybe except to please us, the Thai fans, with the show up of Boss & Fort. Although I'm still a little bit not satisfied. I really hope Payu & Prapai have interaction more with Arashi & Fuma instead just with Rei & Kai.

Watch this for my MDL 2024 challenge. Quite interesting, it just has a very big but…Story about a widow named Tampopo. Her husband died not long before, and she struggles to maintain the ramen restaurant left by her late husband. One day, a truck driver, Goro, comes to the restaurant & sees Tampopo being harassed by her customer. Can’t just stand by seeing that, Goro decided to help Tampopo, but just to be defeated. But from that accident, the friendship between Goro & Tampopo started.
Tampopo who struggles about the restaurant finally has the courage to ask Goro for help. Goro, with the help of some people, helps Tampopo gather the perfect recipe for ramen… And later even to renew the shop for Tampopo...
That's pretty much the story without giving any spoilers. Tampopo is a really clever woman, she managed to trick a few people / chefs to give her the recipe without them realizing it. It was so fun to see her gather the recipe.
This is actually really quite an interesting old movie, even though I watch it today time, I don't feel it's too old. But unfortunately, the scene in the movie mixed with the scene unrelated to the story. I don’t know it just the style at that time or what, but it really affected me who watch it today.
