drama like movie
One simple drama with each ep around 5-10 min, feel like watching 2 hours movie than drama.What I really like: because this very short drama, so they don't stretch it into unbearable plot. Everything just on the spot. & the actor/ess play they character good, especially Xu Dan as Gu Fei Er, sometimes really want to slap that face, really one smooth snake...
What I don't really like: They make the ending kinda open, with not much explanation about something...
Overall does this worth to watch...? Yeah in my opinion this still worth ur time to watch.

Another drama from Zhang Wan Yi, I’m curious. Let’s watch…Story about mistreated children of Luo family, Luo Yi Ning (YN) & Luo Shen Yuan (SY). YN is a legitimate daughter of the Luo family, but she’s not a favorable child of her father, she still gains all the respect in the family because her grandmother (Madame Luo) hugely favors her. While SY is the legitimate son of the Luo family, where everyone underestimated & looked with one eye.
The story begins with the return of YN to the main house to celebrate her grandma’s birthday. In the house, SY safe YN from her father concubine trap, that’s made YN indebt with SY & since that day, YN determine to help SY climb in favor at the Luo’s family.
Each day YN & SY grew closer with each other, and YN found many good qualities in SY that no one ever knew about. And since MDL already wrote in their summary, one day SY learns that YN is actually not their father's biological daughter, and that of course makes SY have different feelings for YN. But YN still doesn't know about the fact, that’s make SY had to hide his feelings while still acting as a good brother to YN.
SY & YN grew closer and closer with each other, as they tried to solve the mystery of YN’s mother & SY’s teacher death. And all tapered about politics and intrigue in the palace. So… How they manage their feelings & uncover all the mystery in this drama…
What I like:
+ I don’t too impressed with Ren Min in The Longest Promise, but here… Her acting is more natural & much better overall.
+ The good old grandma. Sometimes grandmas are the best in dramaland… Haha…
+ One of the best main wife. I really like Lin Hai Ru as the main wife.
+ The cute Lin Mao (LM) & Luo Yi Xiu (YX) as a couple. When I watch the clip from YT I kinda hope YX will become pairing with Han Zhao, cause you know for once, kind hearted chubby supporting roles get paired with the prince. But in the end, I’m happy LM got together with YX. They understand & respect each other.
+ How each child shows respect to their parents. Like no matter how bad SY’s dad mistreated him, in the end he was still his dad. Or like when YX’s mother did something horrible, but in the end all of her children still acknowledge her as their mother.
What I don’t like:
- How they force the bad guy. Hm… I feel like in the end the bad guy is half baked & the ending kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
- The relationship between SY & YN. Oh I know how they try to sell it as romance. But you imagine, the one that you thought of as your brother for several years, suddenly not your brother & you also find out he knew about the fact all this time & he got feelings for you… It’s kinda disturbing….
- No one really bothers about how easily YN moves family / household. Haha… Like no one really gossip about that fact…
Overall this is a good drama to watch

Watch this for my 2024 Alphabet Challenge. It turned out much better than I expected.Story about Kamogawa Restaurant, a restaurant in Kyoto that has a special purpose on the side. Customers come from different parts of Japan with one mission in their mind, “Search for food with memories”. Customers who come only relying on a single line advertisement in “Spring & Autumn Cuisine”. Those who come to this restaurant looking for food from their memories and all that memories bear troubles of the seeker.
Every customer who comes will tell their story to Kamogawa Koishi, and after that her father, Nagare uses the instincts and powers of observation honed as a retired detective, to identify what meals customers truly desire and demonstrates his skills by recreating them. Customers who eat the “food with memories”, which are the fruits of the efforts of Koishi and Nagare, will leave Kamogawa Restaurant, finding the answer for their question & trouble…
But except to answer all the customer’s troubles, Koishi and Nagare themselves have problems that need to be answered along the way….
Below I’ll write about each of the dish that was recreated by Kamogawa Restaurant.
1st dish:
Looking for meat and potatoes cooked by late mother. Date Hisahiko looking for the dish cooked by his late mother. After his mother died, Date’s dad remarried to a new woman & also brought a girl along. Date and his step mom are not close, he even feels his step mom treats him and her real daughter differently. But after eating the dish that is recreated by Nagare, he understands how kind his step mother actually is.
The message from this episode: “Try to know the people before you judge them.”
2nd dish:
Tonkatsu. Hirose Suyako looking for a dish for her sick husband. Her husband longs for the Tonkatsu & Suyako wants to give it to him before it’s too late. After the investigation done by Nagare, Suyako finally knows the reason her husband longs for the dish.
The message from this episode: ”A marriage couple bond's that can't be broken by farewell or distance.”
3rd dish:
Spaghetti. A memory with grandpa. Mizuki Asuka looking for a spaghetti dish she ate with her grandpa when she's little. Her grandpa suffers from dementia & other diseases, so she wants to serve a memory dish to her grandpa before his memory & health deteriorates even more. This is the first dish Koishi does the investigation, she learns to be independent & rely more on her instinct & observation.
4th dish:
Nabe from late wife. Kuboyama Hideji looked for nabe used to cook by his late wife. Hideji wants to remarry, but before he does that, he wants to eat nabe that his late wife cooked, then after that he can start a new life living with his new wife. After eating the meal Hideji realized how much effort & love his late wife put into making the dish.
5th dish:
Hamburger vs steak. Takeda Kana, a food blogger, who prefers a steak over all kinds of mixed meat. She so pissed when her son pick burger over steak & want to teach her son how more delicious steak over burger. After the dish was served, Kana learned a lot of things regarding her father.
6th dish:
Beef stew. The one that got away. Nadaya Nobuko once met a boy in her youth, the boy that brought her to the restaurant that served beef stew dishes. They've been in correspondence before, but upon meeting the boy just suddenly proposing to her, that's shaken her & she fled. Now in her old days, she begins to recall everything & one question about what if suddenly shows up in her mind. It's not mean Nobuko is regretting her life, but that ‘what if’ is still lingering in the air.
7th dish:
Noriben. Made by father. Kitano Kyousuke's father can't cook but he still made bento for him everyday. Noriben only consists of Nori, Seaweed & may consist of some other side dish, and in Kyousuke case is umeboshi. Kyousuke always thought his father was a lazy man who wouldn't learn any other dishes. Although it seems simple, after learning about the dish, Kyousuke realized how much effort his father put into the dish.
8th dish:
Fried Rice made by mother. Shirasaki Hatsuko wants to cook her late mother dish for her boyfriend. A simple dish made by a single mother who didn't have too much time, but still thinking about her daughter.
Overall this really one warm drama about every dish from our memories that have special meaning for us.

Watch this from MDL 2024 Watch Challenge and also for Zhang Wan Yi & Wang Chu Ran. What a fun ride. Story about Liu Mian Tang (MT) & Cui Jiu (CJ). Our story started when MT woke up from a coma, and she forgot everything in a period of time, the medical term is selective amnesia. MT forgot about the 3 years period of time, the last thing she remembers is that she’s going to marry a man named Cui Jiu. And as it happens, Zhao Quan called our ML as CJ, so MT just assumed he is her husband. But soon we found out, CJ is not MT's husband but Lord Huai Yang & he happened in the pursuit of a criminal & thinking that MT had connection to the criminal, so CJ just played along with MT and pretended to be her husband.
That’s the beginning of our ML & FL story. Yeah, it all starts with a lie. But as the story went forward, CJ started to have feelings for MT when CJ felt that MT really can understand him & his thoughts. And over time, MT also helped CJ when they went to war. Together they accomplish and do a lot of stuff together, making their feelings, especially CJ deeper and also build up a lot of guilt over time.
One day, MT’s memory returns, she remembers everything. And as it turns out, MT’s identity is not as simple as CJ thought at first. And that complicated their relationship & in the end they just separated. And that’s the first half of the drama….
Move forward to the next step. CJ & MT meet again. CJ still can’t forget MT & start pursuing MT again, this time to make her as his real wife. But CJ also had a greater love rival, which is the Emperor himself. So, how in the end this love trial moves….
While CJ, MT & the emperor had relationship problems, at the same time, they also had one common enemy. So apart from the love problem, we also start to dig deep into political schemes.
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ The chemistry between Zhang Wan Yi & Wang Chu Ran. I like how CJ & MT have mutual understanding, respect and support for each other. It’s so funny to see how they easily & have no need for words when they need to role play that they fight with each other, but the truth is the opposite. Like when they tackle the critique when MT first comes to CJ home to greet the elder.
+ He Zhen (HZ) & Zhao Quan (ZQ), is one cute second couple. It’s something unpredictable but yet so predictable. Never expected they would go together, but after watching, yeah seeing how ZQ respects HZ, no wonder that HZ’s heart will melt for him.
+ Shi Xue Ji (XJ) is an amazing empress. She’s really fit for the role. Her tacit understanding of Zi Yu (ZY) is really admirable.
+ Mutual respect that is not that easy to gain. Hm… don’t know how to put it into + or -. But the way the writer wrote about mutual respect is more of something (+). Like, how MT in the end gains respect from CJ’s mother, or XJ & ZY, or HZ & ZQ, or ZY & CJ.
+ The way they plan to trap the bad guy. That's one pretty scheme
Overall this is one good drama. I think it’s been a long time since I really enjoyed watching dramas as much as this one & also many scenes of this made me laugh.

What I don't like:
- The political scheme is a little stupid & unclear sometimes. And the worst when ZY suddenly become the emperor. What happened to the queen mother and child emperor…?
- The confusing time stamp. Like when MT separated from CJ, how long it’s been. I first think it’s been a few years, cause it’s also happened the same time ZY became emperor. But the woman that gave birth, her child, is just a few months old. In my opinion that’s a little impossible to achieve. But yet like I wrote in the first point, the political scheme is a little stupid & unclear sometimes.

Quite wonder with this. Often comes out as a suggestion, so let me just prove it myself…Story about Tin, Third-year emergency medicine resident. One day Tol, a university student, was rushed to the emergency room in serious condition, due to a car accident. Tol died that day, but his death just triggered a time loop for Tin, a loop Tin won't be able to leave until he's altered Tol's fate.
At first, Tin just tried to alter what happened in the emergency room. He tried his best and fastest to save Tol’s life. And when it’s all not working, he tries to think out of the box. Tin starts to investigate Tol’s life & friends, getting closer to him. And with every loop, he ‘wakes up’ earlier than the loop before. And with that cycle will Tin in the end successfully save Tol’s life and out of the loop?
Ok. That’s pretty much about the story.
Is it good?
A good concept, but unfortunately not so much in implementation.
Best BL?
Oh Hell no… In the matter of fact, this even far away from that

From the top review here, I most agreed with Artemissie. Yeah… The acting is just ordinary, no one really stands out. Not even Tol or Tin themselves.
Chemistry…? Hm… Not so much, cause their relationship is not a center of the drama, so not really show much. And the mess up also begins with this…
Much like Artemissie wrote. Yeah… Tin who just follows Tol around in one of the loops is pretty creepy. The first impression that Tol gave him was already correct, he creeped out. But suddenly Tol just accepted Tin like that….? And moreover, Tol also got obsessed with Tin…? Girl whaaattttt….?????
The biggest question above all… Why Tin and Tol…? Why must Tol get the advantage of coming alive? What is so special about Tol so he gets the second change? This has never been explained. And that’s lazy writing right there.
2nd biggest question. How the heck Tin alter the time loop never been explained, or it just me who missed it... What I know Tin just think (wish) to wake up at the certain time & that's what happen

Short drama
Zhao Yi Qin is one of the pitiful actor in my opinion. He's not so bad, in term of acting, but his big 'boom' in drama haven't come yet. So yeah we much see him in short drama & he is one of the good face to be seen.... With him in short drama, at least I know, the drama will not too bad.But unfortunately this time, not so much...
The story nothing too new... 2 sibling hate each other, parents always defend one against another. And of course they're fighting over the same guy, that's in the end make the elder sister [Ning Xi (NX)] framed by his own sister.
NX got drug one night, and slept with an unknown man, thinking it's her boyfriend, Su Yan. As the result, she's pregnant. One day accident happen & she can't preserve his pregnancy.
Five years later, she's out for revenge against the ones who betrayed her and aims to fulfill her dreams in the process. Fate leads her to a man who helps pave the way.
That's pretty much the story... Feel like your everyday tik tok video right... Haha...
Now the bad part...
Even for short drama, this is one bad editing. I don't know from where the heck they pick the responsible man to do the job. It like a result of student who just learn to do the editing. I even can say for sure, some YouTubers still better do the editing than this man....
So they must say thanx to Zhao Yi Qin. If not him i don't know what score will i give this drama....
Overall this just another short drama. 16 ep with 4 min each, so it's about 64 min total.

Long time heard about this drama, finally watch this.For short drama, this is quite good. Have beginning, middle and ending. But as usual with short drama, this also had it's shortage.
Story about Xiao Hong Ye (HY) and Gu Meng (GM), a couple that even though love each other but had family grudge toward each other. Xiao family alienated by Gu family & for revenge, HY also alienated Gu family, just left GM alone.
The story start when GM try to kill HY but unsuccessful & hit her head, causing her to get amnesia. Since that day, HY captivating GM in his house & their journey begin...
The silly story about how you can't change ur feeling even though ur memory already been erased. GM a few time lost her memory & everytime she keep falling for HY.
I quite like the chemistry between Guan Chang & Li Jiu Lin. And the quality of this short drama actually not really bad. But unfortunately a few times I feel they have several more scene that don't include in the final edit. And it make me feel like watching jump scene & that's sometimes make the logic didn't make sense. Like how HY so defense GM after GM took the bullet for HY.
But overall for short drama this quite good drama to watch.

April 2024 Recommendation Challenge
Watch this for my April Recommendation Challenge by Natalie Rodriguez. Quite interesting story, talk about the hanging what if...Nora or Na Young & Jung Hae Sung (HS) were childhood friends that have puppy love with each other. They separated cause Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. HS try to reconnect with Nora through Nora's dad FB & successful, their reconnect 12 years after Nora's family emigrates. But life happen, and they separated again & continue with their own life. Nora met her husband, Arthur, & got married, while HS also got girlfriend.
Life go by, 12 years later, HS decided to reconnect again with Nora. HS visit Nora in America, he bring all the nostalgic feeling for Nora & leave her with all the what if questions. What if Nora not go to Canada, will they start their relationship, will their relationship continue with more serious one or will it fail...? And so on... So how will they continue the relationship? Will Nora finally choose HS over her husband?
One thing that really good about this movie is... How mature everyone is, especially Arthur. Arthur see how vulnerable Nora when she met HS, but still can put smile & calm in his face when he met HS. And the fact that Arthur still told Nora the truth about how he actually don't like that Nora met HS, but still appreciate & trust her in the end.
Overall this one good movie to reflect our own life & relationship with anyone around us.

Beautiful story with badass FL
Really really happy to watch this drama. Really sad when it's over, I just want to keep watching them, not ready yet to say goodbye... Really hope what in the final scene is really happening.... :(In this drama we get friendships, brotherhood, maturity of a character & yet the perfect examples of people foolish & selfishness and every character imperfection.
In here we got very badass FL that not often we see in dramaland. Ren Ru Yi (RY) is one ruthless killing machine that usually move by herself, trust no one but once she trust someone she's willing to risk everything for that person.
Ning Yuan Zhou (YZ) as ML on the other hand is a perfect spy & leader that everyone looked up to.
Together with the task on hand, to save the King of Wu Kingdom that's been capture by An Kingdom, start their journey. And in this journey also come YZ's brothers / companion & Princess Yang Ying, who disguised herself as a man / prince.
What i really like about this drama:
+ How RY shamelessly tease & seduce YZ at first. At first, her goal only to have baby with YZ, not make YZ be her husband. Haha... She got a 'task' from Empress Wu to have baby instead husband, so yeah she's try to complete that 'task'.
+ But of course with given time both RY & YZ start really falling in love & have trust with each other. Really like the growth of their relationship.
+ The badass Princess Yang Ying (YY). Oh this maybe one of my most beloved support character. Really like the growth in YY's character. She's really grown from scaredy & childish princess into amazing prince & in the end amazing princess & woman. The aura when she must act as the prince is really something. And I really like how in the end, when she get back home to be with the 'family' she still became herself, a little chilish & spoiled.
+ All the brother of YZ's group. From playboy Yu Shi San, to the stoik Qian Zhao, to the youngest Yuan Lu & the foolish Sun Lang. I really like to see how they interact with each other. How they sometimes act like a woman who like gossip to how they act like boys when they decide to make fun of Li Tong Guang jealousy.
+ The growth of Wu Di [Emperor Wu]. He also grow from selfish brat that doesn't care about everyone else except himself to someone that have remorse & decided to do better.
+ Xiao Yan [Empress of Wu State] & Chu Yue (CY). 2 strong & interesting woman. I really like to see the relationship between CY & Shi San.
+ Alen Fang... I really like Alen Fang as Yu Shi San here... I think this is the best role for him
+ This drama had one of the best sword dance... Haha... Seeing them fighting really like watching sword dance....
The stupid selfish human:
* Li Tong Guang. OMG i don't know what the heck inside his head. He's over and over can't overcome his own feeling for RY. But this is also i feel is the minus in writing his character. He's such fickle human being. One minute he so determined to make RY as his own, but the other minute, after RY or YZ talk sense into him, he just change his mind so instantly. And that's just continue the pattern till the end... UGH!!!
* Li Zhun [Emperor of An State] & his prince. This is the perfect example of apple fall not far from its tree. Like father like son, both are very selfish till the end of the stage they don't care about their country & just about themselves.
* The third prince of Wu (I don't know his name, nor I found in the cast). I know he's been wrongly treated for his entire life. But when ur Kingdom in state of war & yet u still think of urself is really something...
Overall this really good drama to open this year....

The story revolve around Chun Family. The single mother that raise 4 daughter, with their character & uniqueness themselves.
1st daughter, Chun Jin Rong (JR). With materialistic characters, that turn out offer more that the eyes meet the first time.
3rd daughter, Chun Ban Xia (BX). With smart & stubborn character, that in the end learn not all her ways is always right.
4th daughter, Chun Ke Ling (KL). The youngest & childish one in the family, that in the end learn to group up & take her responsibility in the world & in the household.
And finally our FL, 2nd daughter, Chun Pei Lan (PL). One woman that at first, take the responsibility to care of the house herself, to the end learn to let go her 'responsibility' & choose her own path, with her man... Haha...
Really interesting to see how these woman grow to be the better self of themselves through out the drama. Of course with each conflict in the family we can experience ourselves in our real world or no stranger in drama world.
Overall this really one interesting drama to watch. With grounded characters & actor/ess.

Everybody has a history in their life, unless you know them from the baby & follow every thing that they do, never judge people from their past.Just like AthenaTheStorierX wrote. This will be much more enjoyable if the story had more focus on the FL & her friend. Or if they just steer the plot better, with better ML whose even though know his wife past he still stand by her side not just judge her instead.
Really hate this kinda plot, where someone judge us by our past. Especially here they also talked how biased man & the worst kind of prejudice against woman can be. Men can be 'naughty' but want their woman remain pure, or in this case the 'pure' man get 'pure' woman. & to make it the story even worse the man keep listen to stupid advise his friend give him.
Just like Shiro, I also want to kick the man in the ball & give him just 1⭐But I also really like the FL & her friends. So yeah 5⭐ for all I guess...

End of the journey
Finally our drama comes to the end. Or is it...? Haha... Keep reading till the end to know what I mean, or if you don't want be spoiled you can just skip reading the end of my review.The story continue by the problem:
1. Qin Yu is paper people, which mean he don't bleed. Qin Chuan (QC) & his friend start to notice this. So Yian Yi Yi (YY) has to think fast how to fool these people or anybody from noticing this problem.
2. QC's mom start making problem with YY. Cause she think YY is the main reason why her son (QC) start to rebel against her. And I'm quite happy later on after QC & his mom have 1 on 1 talk she finally understand QC's feeling.
3. Like season 3, QY comes to real life has consequences for both QY & YY. And this season/part that consequences start to reveal itself. It start effecting QY & YY health, especially YY's health. Cause like Book Officer already explained in season 4, QY kinda take a little bit like life source/energy from YY.
Overall this little short drama serve us with full plate. Haha... One good & complete story to tell. This season (4 & 5) given take with 45 Min duration it's about 12 ep or with 30 min duration it's about 17 ep. Yeah longer than previous season & in my opinion kinda bored. I'm more enjoy previous season than this one.

They keep the open ending with possible future story!!! Don't know should be happy & excited to watch the continuing of their story or just being indifferent. Because for me this season already quite bored. That's why I lower the score.
And also comes the inconsistency with the plot. Book officer clearly tell QY that he will not gonna remember YY when he return to book. But in the end the writer still decided to leave QY memory intact, cause he still comes back to real life again....

One calm movie
This is heart warming movie, tell a story about a girl that sick of a life in city & she decided to back to her small hometown & live there for a period of time, healing herself & re-build the relationship with her neighbor & friends.If you also kinda sick with the life in the city, with all the hardship in the big city & all the stuff the big city can offer you. You can take a peek of what kind of life the little village can offer you.
This movie have very calm environment that can bring peace to your soul. No conflict or anything in the movie, just like Booklover_95 wrote in her/his review: "No angst, no forced laughter, no tears but just sit through it and feel refreshed just watching it." Really one movie to heal your head from all the problem you have in your real life & enjoy the ride for this movie
The one point about this movie for me that I don't too like. The time is so damn slow.... Even after watch it with double speed still so damn slow for me.... But if you want to watch something refreshing & for playing in the background this movie can be your choice. But in the end to watch this kind of movie sometimes still quite good & refreshing for our soul....

Oh hell I really want to hang the director big time!!!! and oh hell yeah I'm about to write another rampage review again about this series & the big reveal in the end. If you don't want to know just don't read it!!!The save review first. So you can at least read safely...
What I like about this mini series:
+ The relationship between He Dun (HD) & Qian Kai Yi (KY) is more blooming. I really like how KY support HD with her trauma & assist HD to overcome her trauma/past.
+ Finally HD can forgive herself about her brother pass away & how she finally mend her relationship with her dad.
+ Some light into HD past, the truth relationship between HD and her parent.
+ The story about grief & how important support group is.
Overall this really just like the title He Dun's Happiness, so yeah everything about her happiness.
And that's the good things end about this mini series
Now the rampage & the reveal!!!! Read it with your own risk!!!!
They leave us with another cliffhanger!!!!! Why!!! Why!!! Why!!!
Will we got another mini series and this time about Ye Jia Hui (JH)!!!!
Why in the end they talk about JH & his dad and also HD & KY!!! What happen with HD????!!! Did JH's crazy dad really kidnap her or not????!!!! And what happen with JH & his leg???!!! And And And also what happen with JH's crazy dad in the end???!!! What is actually the true purpose of JH's crazy dad
Why!!! Why!!! Why!!! You're not using the rest of duration for explaining us the whole situation, but shot another scene that not even connected with the whole situation???!!! So many mystery to unravel....
At this point I really think they really try to prolong this series as long and as many series as possible! Really pissed me off!!!

Unexpected ending
Consider a few times to watch or not this drama, because I don't too like Shen Yue. But I quite like our ML, Chen Zhe Yuan, so I still decided to watch this.At first I really though this just our regular imagination story. Where our FL get her dream man from the story. Although I really like where the 'dream man' that came out not our regular hero/good man, but more of a bad/villain man at first. But however Xiao Wu Di (WD) still our ML, so he must change from bad man to good man. Hehe... And the method to call WD every time to Nan Xing is also really fun & very unusual. I like it...Haha...
So yeah at first I only plan to give it score between 7-8. But it all change in the very last episode. Really interesting how they change all the perspective of our story. Maybe that due to the new regulation in China where they limited this kind of time travel story or whatever. But I really intrigue by the explanation of the last episode.
Oh btw, I really like our second couple Lu Zi Chen (ZC) & Ye Qing. I quite glad they're not our main couple. If not we got the usual story, where very straight, cold and naïve man like get advice from his best friend how to chase girl, or they will gonna create 1001 cheesy way to make them finally become a couple.... ZC himself sometimes remind me of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. Haha.... Some stupidity.... :P
Overall this quite unique & original story to watch for...
