My JUNE 2025 recommendations challenge

Watch this for my June 2025 recommendations challenge by 𝑵𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆.

This is a story about two friends who fall in love with the same person. Why not women or men? Because this story happens across 2 generations, mother and daughter. In the mother’s story, it’s two men who fall in love with her. In the daughter’s story, she and her best friend fall in love with the same man .

So, let’s dive into the story…

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬
Dalah meets Kajorn during a vacation at her grandfather’s house. They spend time together, go on adventures and form a friendship. Kajorn falls for Dalah the moment they meet. However, because of their different social statuses, he can’t continue corresponding with her.

Back at school, Kajorn’s friend, Tanil, tells him about a girl his father has set him up withTanil asks Kajorn to help write love letters to this girl. To Kajorn’s surprise, the girl turns out to be Dalah. Recognizing her, Kajorn agrees to help by writing letters to Dalah under Tanil’s name. And so begins the correspondence between Tanil and Dalah.

Later, Tanil invites Kajorn to attend Dalah’s solo concert. Dalah is surprised to see Kajorn in town, and shortly after, Tanil introduces them formally. Kajorn then confesses his true feelings to Dalah, and she admits she feels the same.

Thus begins their secret relationship, hidden from everyone—including Tanil. But things get even more complicated when Tanil, who initially only followed his parents’ wishes, starts developing real feelings for Dalah after getting to know her better.

So now the question is:
> What will happen if Tanil finds out about Kajorn and Dalah’s secret romance? Will he be angry —or will he accept it?
> Will Dalah’s parents accept Kajorn, or will they reject him due to social status?

Fast forward to the next generation.

Bota and her best friend Poppy both secretly admire the same man—Non—from afar. Neither of them has the courage to confess their feelings.

One day, Bota stumbles upon her mother’s, Dalah, old love letters and learns about her mother’s past romance. She shares the story with Poppy, who later tells her theater director. Intrigued, the director wants to turn the story into a play—and asks Poppy to help bring it to life. Poppy encourages Bota to write the script based on her mother’s love story. Reluctant at first, because it's her mother's love story but eventually, Bota agrees to write the script. Bota also ends up helping with the theater production as well.

To Bota’s surprise, the lead actor chosen to play Kajorn in the play is none other than Non. During rehearsals, Non starts showing interest in Bota—he talks to her often, tries to get closer, and treats her kindly. Naturally, Bota starts falling for him even more.

While Bota is happy about the attention, she’s also worried. She doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Poppy—who also seems to be falling for Non during rehearsals.

So what happens in the end?
> Will Bota confess her feelings to Non, or will she step back for Poppy’s sake?
> If Bota and Non end up together, what will happen to her friendship with Poppy?

That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
+ A timeless love triangle between friends that’s told through two connected generations.
+ The drama doesn’t rely heavily on jealousy or over-the-top conflict to move the plot. It keeps things subtle and emotional.

What I don’t too like:
The movie can feel a bit slow at times. But since it’s a movie and not a long drama, it doesn’t drag on too long.

Overall, it’s quite a good movie. If you're in the mood for a light romance with a classic love triangle—minus the excessive melodrama—this movie might be just what you're looking for. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys gentle romantic conflicts without too much unnecessary drama.

Joong-Dunk & First-Khaotung in a drama… Of course here I come… First of all… What the heck with that first episode… It really gave me a shock, I must check multiple times if this is really a GmmTV production, not anything else… Why…? Because I think this the first GmmTV drama that had such mature scene like that, if I remember correctly, even only friends still didn’t have that kind of scene… I was really shocked with the scene in my eyes… Haha…

Anyhow… Story first…

Kant met Bison at a bowling alley, and they ended up having a one night stand. The next day, Christ (Captain of the police force), asks Kant to spy on Bison & Fadel, who turn out to be a hitman.

Bison is an easy going man, although suspicious about Kant, but feeling a bit charmed by Kant, Bison let his suspicion go away. It's Fadel who can't let it go & keeps curious with Kant.

So, to ‘chase’ Fadel away, Kant asked his friend, Style, to flirt with Fadel.

Style met Fadel by accidently crashing into his car. Fadel's rude attitude toward Style at first made him not want to take Kant's request. But Kant offers Style something he can't refuse, his old car. So, Style begins his chasing. Soon Fadel's harsh & rejecting behavior toward Style really ignites Style feeling to take Fadel down regarding whether Kant offers still exist or not.

So, how will their relationship be when Fadel & Bison finally know the truth about Kant as the police informant…?

That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
4 names: Joong-Dunk & First-Khaotung. Haha… They're amazing here. Especially Dunk & Khaotung.

What I don’t like:
- A little bit too much for my taste. Some scenes are just too exaggerated…
- All the stupid little things that happen in drama. GmmTV really needs to learn more realistic crime dramas, than only rely on the chemistry of the couples. I mean like when Bison & Fadel do their crime, they never wear gloves. Haha… I know this seems insignificant, but still…

Overall, finally GmmTV really dared to take up a notch of their usual casual drama into a more serious one. Really hope they can bring us a more realistic story…

Watch this for my alphabet challenge. And stay watch purely just for it, if not for the challenge I already dropped this. Haha… It's a messed up plot with a lot of holes….

Story about Joke & Jack. Joke is a young man from a wealthy family who feels unappreciated because he has a better brother. To release the stress from his dad, Joke decided to do some stealing and ended up making a name as Joker.

Jack, on the other hand, is a young man who grew up in a poor neighborhood. He tried his best to live his life day to day & free from debt.

One day, Joke met Jack in the bar where he works at. Few days later, they met again while Joke in the scamming action. By accident, Joke’s entangled Jack in his action. Felt guilty, Joke surrendered himself to the police, resulting in him being imprisoned.

Jack on the other hand, because of all the circumstances that happened after Joke scamming, forced him to work for the loan shark boss as debt collector.

Fast forward to 5 years later, Joke is finally free from prison. The first thing he does is look for Jack to ask for forgiveness. Joke never expected Jack to change into a cold man because of his job for the boss. But soon, he’ll learn that it's all only on the surface. Jack never really changed for these 5 years, he was still the same kind guy that Joke knew.

So the story forth is about Joke trying to get closer & be friends with Jack. So, what will their story become…?

That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. The only good thing about this drama is the relationship between Joke and his dad. And also Jack’s funny and warm grandma. Oh I love this old lady...

In the end it's an interesting story on paper, but there are so many holes in the plot. So just watch this if you are wondering, but I suggest you better search for something else.

Below I'll write about the messy plot I'm talking about in the beginning. But that also means SPOILER ALERT!!! Read it at your own risk.

One of the worst stealing scenes in the drama world. They did give us warning about the fact it's not like this in the real world. But oh come on… Can't you come out with a better one than these messy holes…

These holes alone take up a huge chunk from my score. Because if it's only about how they messed up in the stealing process because of one stupid thing, it's still better. But this one… OH MY GODDDDD!!! Really stupid.

Joke, try to rob the bank. He can easily go to the bank manager room, take the money from the safe inside the room & just give it to Jack…

Or like when Joke and the gank steal the ring for the boss. Ugh that really one big messy plot, start from planning till the execution all big headache for me to watch it.

The only better execution of the stealing plot is when Joke and the gank steal the jewel. That's quite smooth. But unfortunately still close up with the stupid escape.

Part 1

Finally watch another quite decent short period drama…

The story about A Qi | Leng Li (LL). Like MDL told us, A Qi was murdered by He Lian Chen (LC), the third prince of the Yan Kingdom. And LL just did suicide, because LL was set up to marry He Lian Xuan (LX), the fifth prince of the Yan Kingdom, but LL didn't want to. With the arrangement of fate (by writer), A Qi and LL soul switched places. And after that, A Qi who held a grudge against LC decided to marry LX and with that decision, A Qi officially became LL in this lifetime.

LX is known as a silly prince. But LL likes him, cause he is more pure than any man she knew. And with each incident, it makes LL & LX closer and closer to each other. And slowly but sure LL & LX fall in love with each other.

This season (part) close with… Behind that LX ‘silliness’, LX hides a hidden identity. And LL finally found out about that. So what will happen to them in the end…?

That's pretty much the story in this part. Let's talk about what I like and don't like.

What I like:
+ The decent plot for short duration drama
+ Good acting from all the actor/ess involved

What I don't like:
- Some episodes feel like they still prolong it
- Again a little bit disappearing sound & sub, make us who watch it not really understand what's going on.
- Some incidents or plots feel like force. I can't really give examples, cause it does not really leave much impression in my brain.
- I don’t like when dramas divided into 2 part, but decided to called the 2nd part as 2nd season. And even hater when it comes to short dramas...

Overall a really good production for short duration drama

For all the hype. Is it worthed?

Quite wonder about this drama, when everyone excited about this 'not supposed' to be aired drama. And after I've watched it. I must said I'm happy this magically aired... Haha....

A little shock about the ending & the plot twist. But for me this still one beautiful drama, so no matter what I can't give this drama a lower score...

U can say this drama about human brain, human psychology and friendship. But in the end this also about survival.

Ok. Now let's talk about drama...

This story about Ling Jiu Shi (JS) who got a VR beta game that's stop in the middle when he played. Wondering about the game, he insisted to search for the 'real' game, and no long after that there's someone mail the game to him. And with that his journey in the spirealm game started. And this game different than any other VR game. When u hurt in the game, u hurt in real life. And when u died, u'll died in real life to, the difference just the way u died in the game & real life is different.

In the game he met Ruan Lan Zhu (LZ), who turn out has a company that collected player to finished the game. His goal, to purify the game back to what it supposed to be, not the game where every player died & hurt, just simply a VR game, where every player can enjoy the game with no fear for their life.

In the game, JS met all kind of player. Like Li Dong Yuan, the other company owner who collected the player for the purpose of money, by guiding new player to avoid death. Or like Yan Ba Lang, the other company owner who collected the player for the purpose of master the game, to make the duplicate of the game. Or simply like Tan Zao Zao, a player that enter the game & just hoping to finished the game without she need to died.

Well no matter how fun or scary the game for the player, cause u know some sick people find this 'scary game' as fun, once u enter u must finished it. The way to finish the door or level only 2, by death or get the key. The game once a while (don't know the duration between the game) will called u in to enter another door and u have no way to avoid it.

Ok. That's a little summary about the game. Now let's discuss about what i like & don't like.

What i like:
+ The eye contact between JS & LZ. Oh so so long don't find the eye that talk about their feeling without any 'lust' behavior... The moment we saw that eye contact we know we watch hidden BL. And all that hidden or implicit dialogue... No wonder this has hard time aired from China government.
+ We can feel human selfishness when they face death. Or
+ The friendship that shape between the player. Especially in the Hei Yao Shi or LZ's company.
+ When u put genuine empathic/care for people, u get genuine feedback/friendship. Like when JS genuinely care to the NPC door guardian/spirit, they become his friends when needed.

What i don't too like:
- No matter how strong the eye contact between JS & LZ. I still hope this other countries production. Cause you know we still can hope to see some 'bed scene' or at least some kiss scene. Haha...
- No time stamp. We don't know how long it past from 1 game to another
- Sometimes so frustrated by how stupid JS was... Like how the game connected to him. I get maybe it's already long2 time not met up with his friend, but really how slow ur brain can be. Even I can already guess big picture who design the game...
- The ending or the plot twist. Ughhhh i almost smash my tab when they reveal the ending. I think I scream as long as the final episode to 'beg' the director not that cruel to us.... What is it do u ask? Hoho... I'm not that CRUEL OR CRAZY to put it here. U may message me for it.

Overall this really one unique drama that I'm glad out here for us to watch

BIG SPOILER ALERT!!! READ IT WITH UR OWN RISK!!!

Once again story about re-write the past. What will u do if u given the chance to change someone fate, especially life & death situation...? Will u exchange it with ur own life?

What we can learn from this drama only 1. Nothing is free. There's something we have to pay for the things that we want....

That's what happen with Gu Yu Xuan (XY) & Han Shu Yan (SY) . One day SY got into accident & died. It happen the day they have a big fight. And by coincidence Gu Yu Xuan find out he can restart the day & try to prevent SY's death. But he can only do it for 2 times. The first day he tried to prevent it but fail & 1 old man advice him to just cherish the time/chance he still have with her instead try to prevent the death itself. But of course XY can't accept that fact & think everything possible to prevent it. And finally he succeeded, but he has to pay it with his own life.

After learn the fact about XY's death, now it's SY that can't accept it. She doesn't want XY to exchange his life with her own. So she also visit that old man, just to find out the old man already change into old woman & once again also try her it's useless to try change the fate that's already happen. But of course SY can't accept it & when she finally able to change it, she had to pay it with high price. Which I'm not gonna spoiled u even more, I spoiled much enough... Haha....

Overall this one good movie

Messy plot

Intrique by summary and pitching from YouTube make me click this drama. Unfortunately good story with bad writing make messy plot

For you who don't want get spoiled don't read my review. Cause i think I'm gonna curse/rampage a little bit about the holes in the plot...

Ok let's start....

At first the story really good everything quite good, the story, the time line quite make sense. Unfortunately the more story rolling the messier it gets...

They did a good job with the explanation of our FL & her maid side. What she must do to get out of this world & back to her world. And the game system to make all the health tool appear really interesting. But as usual & FL seems not too confuse with how her suddenly in the ancient world & just focus to get back to her world soon.

The messy part however when they need to explain the ML side, or you can said the world that they live right now...

1st off all we kinda missing the introduction in the beginning, we know that our ML is the former crown prince, but how come when the emperor died he's not ascendant into emperor & what his relationship with the current emperor....? And the missing introductions not only that, but also every body connections with each other. Get me headaches....

After that the story role about how ML fall in love with our FL and vice versa. Quite normal... When suddenly we get introduced with new characters Su Qi Shao, that we don't know who the h*ll is he until later, that turn out he is the lover of our ML's sister. & suddenly they're friends (yeah suddenly, a few ep back ML still stealing from him, if he turn out be friend why don't you just aks nicely...?) & try to rescue the sister from the place... Ugh.... And of course they succeeded to take the princess away and returned her later... And they did all of that without much effort or struggle to begin with, everything went so smooth like they own the palace. You rescue a princess from inside a palace without any struggles yet you're not suspected anything or anyone behind that controll it, and let's not forget our ML is former general. Ugh... How stupid can you write the story!!!!

The plot get messier again when they add about Bamboo Rooster. What the h*ck is that???? They never bother to explained it. Yet I calm myself this only part/season 1, hope they explain it later in the part/season 2.

Hope the part/season 2 make the story clearer....

short but missing something

been damn busy, so another short drama YT recommendation it is....

It's actually quite good drama, watching short scene got me hooked & search for the complete version. Unfortunately the plot kinda missing something. I know this just short duration drama with each ep 9-12 min. If only they prolong it a little bit & making the plot more elaborate, it's gonna be perfect short drama.

For example, who the hell is Jenny & what happen with her at the end. Or how An Duo Duo (DD) build the feeling for Qin Qi (QQ). Or how they trap Li Wei Wei (WW) to tell the truth in the end. The ending kinda fast forward, in the end they just show us that WW already confess & finally also hand Qin Lang's mom.

Btw, the most stupid plot this drama has to be where Dd & QQ pretend to be married but not making their married actually legal....

Overall this just another short drama to spend your time with...

Rarely I speechless with the overall drama plot, usually the romance or maybe the cinematography that make me sigh with satisfaction after I've watched the drama. But this drama make me speechless with overall drama itself. Yeah the drama doesn't have too much exaggerated plot or effect, they keep is as simple as possible. And we thanking God for it. :D

OK now let's talk about the drama.

Do we ever wonder what will we do if we trap with the time loop like Li Shi Qing (SQ)...? Sometimes after watch this kind of plot always makes me wonder, is this really could happen to any of us..? Why...? How to get out if I being trap inside it...? And here if I being SQ will I did the same thing with her...? Or maybe waste a few more day just to enjoy myself with treatment....? Hehe...

Angel Zhao did a very good job to portray a good naive Young woman who did her best to exit the loop. This is my second time watch her & so far being quite satisfied with her performances. And Bai Jing Ting added a very nice character to help her exit the loop. Quite like the interaction between them, we see from stranger, develop trust and how in the end they also develop feeling & depending on each other.

What I really like:
+ they give us some background story of the other passanger.
+ How the story being reveal a little by little about the true problem that cause all of that.
+ How in the end everyone help bring the bad guy down actually a little proof in humanity that we need, sometimes human not all just self centered.
+ To see how effective the police forces do when there's threat is always soothing. Not sure the police in my country can do like that or not...:(
+ They don't drag the duration with more episode.

A little sad with what happen with Wang Meng Meng and the reason for the bad guy to do what they did actually a little doesn't make sense. Like SQ said: "Why must sacrifice everyone...?"

Overall: This really one good piece of drama. Nothing too exaggerated & just perfect little drama.

jackie chan movie without action

I think this is the first time I've watched jackie chan without action or funny scene in his movie. This is very deep movie about everyone in their life intersection.

Really like what jackie said in this movie, everyone who wrote to him is already have map, we just don't know where we stand in that map. Every one who write to him just need a push to make the block in their heart disappear.

Although sometimes I don't really like the back and forth timeline like in here, but everything is difference in their own timeline to differentiate it not difficult.

This one movie that give me goosebumps after watching this. If they decided to make drama out of this I definitely watch that drama. Definitely watch the Japanese version to compare both of them :D

Just like the title

This movie draw my attention with the food cooked by Gu Sheng Nan (SN) when Lu Jin (LJ) challenge her to cooked only with one ingredient, egg. Really interesting seeing how much egg dish can SN can cooked, she interpret it with any kind of egg she want.

But of course just like the title you can't just expected this only about cooking movie right.... ;). Although in my opinion the growing of their feeling for each other kinda weird but in the end it's just good i think...

Recently there's been drama develop from this movie. What i like about this movie more than the drama:
* SN is not too childish, she is more cheerful kinda way.
* Really like SN & LJ here than in the drama
* No such thing as love triangle, not even a sparkle :p

Watched this only because this is the continuing from the meteor garden. At the end, never really like the story. What can be written as a short story they make it into one whole season with 31 episodes.

I read somewhere at one point that compare the part where Dao Ming Si (DMS) have amnesia. They said, japan only 1/2 episode, Korea I forget, but Taiwan must make it into whole season :D.

I also heard the ending of this season is change due to fans protest, don't know right or not. The original ending is DMS supposed to choose Ye Sha over Shan Cai (SC), but eventually change finally to SC.

I think maybe that's true. Because for me the ending really really weird in some way that i can't explained.

Just cause Neo Hou & Zhou Ye

Another drama that make me hang till the end cause of the actor & actress, this time of course Neo Hou & Zhou Ye, they are also the reason I'm watching in the first place.

So long not watch a drama that I don't care about the story of the drama, but hang till the end. Truth to be told, I don't too understand the story in the first place. Don't know the story just make me uninterested to follow or just to care. But they just pick the right actor/ess so for me seeing them still make me interesting to keep watching, at least to see them in my screen.

This drama open with stupid woman [Su Ying (SY)] that willing to do anything in the name of love, in this case killing Tian Yao. Stupid why...? Cause later on we learn the man that she love not even love her. Even after knowing that, SY still do anything just for hang him around her.

As usual with XianXia world we always deal between dark/evil & good force. As the story goes we learn that evil already infiltrate from long long ago. And as usual too always interesting to see how they try to combat their inner evil force, especially this time for Yan Hui

Even though the story not very interested to follow, but every time I start get bored they give us cute scene or story to attract us again. Like with the story of Tian Yao become pure like baby again, really cute to see Neo Hou act baby like.

Overall this just another XianXia story that ever exist....

My Sept 2025 recommendation

Long time wonder about this. Finally I watched this, tx to 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒏 amd Recommendation Challenge

Let's start our review…

The story revolves around Park Soo Ha (SH), Jang Hye Sung (HS) and Min Joon Kook (MJK).

The story begins with a tragic car accident involving SH and his father. But this wasn't just any accident; it was caused by MJK. Not only did MJK cause the crash, he personally killed SH’s father to make sure he was dead. Worst of all, young SH witnessed the murder. Because of the accident, SH also gained the ability to hear people’s thoughts.

By fate—or luck—the accident was witnessed by HS and her friend, Seo Do-yeon (DY). When the trial came, HS came forward as a key witness. Her testimony was decisive—MJK was convicted and sent to prison. Before disappearing behind bars, however, MJK swore to make HS pay for her testimony..

And just like that, the fates of SH, HS, and MJK became deeply entangled. With MJK vowing to get even, and SH silently determined to protect the woman who once saved him.

Fast-forward ten years. SH is now a high school student, living a quiet life—though he’s long lost contact with HS. One day, he comes across a newspaper article announcing HS’s appointment as a public defender.

Overjoyed, he rushes to meet her—only to discover that HS is nothing like he remembered. The brave, courageous girl he remembered has transformed into a sharp-tongued, blunt, and cynical woman. She’s self-centered, indifferent, and has lost faith in justice itself.

What I like:
+ The great chemistry between all the cast
+ KW is a great 2nd lead. We can see how frustrated he is when his love unreciprocated he still chooses to help.
+ Good side & bad side of human life. Like KW said: “The difference between SH & KW is just SH has someone by his side, while KW has none. If KW has someone that stands by his side from the first, maybe it can all have a different ending.”

What I don't too like:
- For me, even though I like the growing relationship between SH & HS, somehow I still prefer HS with KW.

Overall this is a really good drama to watch.

Quite wonder with this. Often comes out as a suggestion, so let me just prove it myself…

Story about Tin, Third-year emergency medicine resident. One day Tol, a university student, was rushed to the emergency room in serious condition, due to a car accident. Tol died that day, but his death just triggered a time loop for Tin, a loop Tin won't be able to leave until he's altered Tol's fate.

At first, Tin just tried to alter what happened in the emergency room. He tried his best and fastest to save Tol’s life. And when it’s all not working, he tries to think out of the box. Tin starts to investigate Tol’s life & friends, getting closer to him. And with every loop, he ‘wakes up’ earlier than the loop before. And with that cycle will Tin in the end successfully save Tol’s life and out of the loop?

Ok. That’s pretty much about the story.

Is it good?
A good concept, but unfortunately not so much in implementation.

Best BL?
Oh Hell no… In the matter of fact, this even far away from that

Overall… Watch it if you are curious like me. If not, just don’t watch it…

From the top review here, I most agreed with Artemissie. Yeah… The acting is just ordinary, no one really stands out. Not even Tol or Tin themselves.

Chemistry…? Hm… Not so much, cause their relationship is not a center of the drama, so not really show much. And the mess up also begins with this…
