Ep 9 was tense but our couple provided some sweet calming moments until the end…this show never fails with its cliffhangers 😳 So happy that we don’t have a couple who pushes each other away to keep the other person safe!
Ep 10 had such a healing vibe! I love how Joe encouraged and supported Elvis. Likewise, how he understood her and knew how to connect with her. Their sexy relationship is a nice contrast to Mai’s and Le’s sweet blossoming one. We saw Le providing a lot of support to Mai so it’s nice in ep 10, that she reciprocated. Other than the couples, it’s also satisfying to see how Mai’s work situation turned out, and Jun Hao finally letting out all his feelings with his dad. I didn’t realize Aarif Rahman is from Hong Kong, no wonder his Cantonese is so fluent.
Mai You Ge should have been honest with her boss, letting her know that that new person was seriously messing…
I decided against it. Usually I understand Mandarin well enough that I don’t mind bad translations but this show has a mix of Chinese dialects. Also, the dialogue in this show is well written and I don’t want to miss anything.
I think she was still hoping to salvage the project and not hand it over. I wish she had been more blunt with…
Exactly - I hope she will at least give them an ultimatum. Either they show her the respect she deserves or she leaves. I know it’s not easy in real life to just leave a job but I hope she can do that in this drama :D
Yes! Even behind his helmet, it's obvious that he was struck by lightning the first time he saw her :D
This ML was written well. He clearly likes her, but he's not a simp. He's realistic and true to his character. He wants to enjoy the present. If that means he can only spend days or weeks with her, he will do that and savor the memories.
Ep 8: I would have resigned or just let them deal with the consequences after the company sent someone else to…
I think she was still hoping to salvage the project and not hand it over. I wish she had been more blunt with her boss and told her how that new girl almost lost the client. I really hope that she does resign since her boss clearly does not value her enough to respect or support her.
This is such a "chicken soup for the soul" drama. It feels like a tourism commercial for Macao filled with A-listers,…
Mai You Ge should have been honest with her boss, letting her know that that new person was seriously messing things up. She was too passive and it was clearly nepotism that led to her replacement. I wish she would resign if she keeps getting stepped on like that.
Xu Jun Hao should not be surprised why his family reacted that way to his news of getting married. If he knows how serious marriage is, and he is truly committed, why the secrecy in the first place? Why drop the bomb so suddenly that he's getting married to the girl in one week, someone that they just met for the first time? I felt that was actually disrespectful to his parents. It didn't seem like they were estranged so it's not as though he didn't have chances to let his family know the girl.
Love Joe's spunk! Good for her for defending Elvis and so openly calling out that two-faced art gossiper. I want to see the next episode to see how Elvis tackles being called her boyfriend :)
This is such a "chicken soup for the soul" drama. It feels like a tourism commercial for Macao filled with A-listers, and I appreciate that they mix Mandarin, Cantonese, and English so fluidly in the dialogue.
I love this kind of slice-of-life drama; the cinematography, the music, and the attention to detail, showcasing photos of the characters make it feel like an indie show, quieter, more introspective, and just plain old comforting.
I like the four lead characters for now, and the way their relationships progress. The male leads are responsive but not aggressive, and the female leads are charming in their own ways. I am intrigued by both couples because they complement each other so well (plus they are very attractive). Good job, casting director!
The only thing that feels out of place is the third "couple". I cannot quite get into that relationship.
Viki only has up to ep 8 and now I am tempted to subscribe to MangoTV just so I can keep watching the latest episodes.
yeah I think it’s predictable too, both ding jin and wen peng are involved. the mystery for me lies on the details,…
She’s treating him poorly by not valuing him enough and also not appreciating his actions. She’s also disregarding his feelings. Anyway, you’re right - it’s time for some good ol communication!
I actually don’t want them to end up together. She does not respect him or his sincerity . And she keeps things…
I agree! I would love an ending where the ML tells the FL to get some help with her emotional problems and they will see how things go when she is more stable. That it is only fair if she could at least respect his feelings enough .
So happy that we don’t have a couple who pushes each other away to keep the other person safe!
Enjoy watching! Eps 9 and 10 were good!

Some spoiler thoughts about ep 8 below.
So nice to have an open ending for once that realistically addresses the issue
Anyway, you’re right - it’s time for some good ol communication!
Hopefully there are more twists since right now even the mystery part seems rather predictable.
