It’s too bad - the show started off well but it’s like the writers gave up halfway.

I am up to ep 19 now and waiting to binge the rest. I agree with you about the ML. Sometimes the happy ending is not making the ML be with such a girl.

The show picked up for me in episode 2, and so far I like the four lead characters. Its a good sign when I wish the next episode would come sooner.

Watched up to ep 17 and am starting to not like the FL as much. She seemed to be getting more and more immature and reckless. Her brain cells were also decreasing.

It is still watchable because of the ML and other characters, as well as the interesting plot. The story is pretty well-written, like a social commentary on discrimination.

I might as well finish it since it is a quick filler show, but I am disappointed by the regression of the FL’s character.

I am up to ep 21 and actually, the FL did get better after ep 15. LOL, it's true the ML's wig could be so much better. It is 2024 after all and I think they would have improved in the styling department!

Just my speculation - What if Ding Jing is obsessed enough to act as Deng Man to torture Lu Yan and drive her away from Jiang Cheng Yi? She was vile enough to do other nasty things to Lu Yan, so why not this?

After 8 years, the feelings were still there, and it's so nice to see both leads acknowledge that. They certainly delivered on the physical affection in this show. Then again, it is Johnny Huang - he always gets it right.

Too bad the little moment of happiness would be ruined :(

Truly the best Chinese Drama to close out 2024! Those who have not started or have paused, enjoy binging! There are some great surprises and twists as you watch to the end.

I should not have given up on JiYong...he was playing the long game indeed!
