Thank goodness ep 26 was not as angsty as we thought it would be - Dou Zhao saved it for me! And there is a shiny surprise for those who have not watched it yet!
Started watching this again because of DYX. I struggled with the FL the first time and am still not liking her much this time round. For someone who's supposed to be smart, she is incredibly oblivious. I also do not like how ungrateful she is, even though he has saved her numerous times, and how she feels entitled to use the ML as she wants but shows no appreciation. I am trying to push to ep 15 since folks that her character improved after that.
OK, waiting for the express so I can binge-watch the last 10 episodes...I am nervous based on the comments about eps 32 and 33 and the upcoming episodes.
Ep 24 - like I commented before, I cannot relax with this show.
Glad that the DM/WTY/WYX subplot is wrapped up although we didn't need multiple scenes of WTY being miserable. What happened to the sister? After being featured so prominently in that whole melodrama, she did not even show up in the end. Did I miss something?
More questions for me now just based on this one episode: 1) Song Han appeared different in this life and did not seem to know anything until now. Is he going to turn bad now? I guess I should watch ep 25 to see what follows after the last scene of ep 24.
2) Is Su Yan, the rite official really working with the villains or is she a mole? And if she is, whose mole?
3) Is Chen Jia really good and loyal to Song Mo now? Or will his fate stay the same in the end?
4) When will General Yan and Lu Ming realize that they should stop interrupting the lovely moments between our couple?
I have to work, but I really wanted to watch the one scene that everyone was anticipating since it appeared in the opening credits. It was beautiful 😍😍😍
I really love the exploration of "new worlds and new civilizations" concept, and I think this series truly dig…
So true - this is not a perfect 10 or even 9-rated drama to me because of the draggy episodes at times but it should be at least higher than 8.5. Great acting, awesome fight scenes, memorable OST, interesting dive into the brocade, silk & dyeing industries...overall, the show is entertaining...
Well, I did not expect the end of ep 30 (didn't watch the previews and I guess I missed the spoiler comments). I don't want anyone from JYY's circle to die but the one who did was especially sweet and earnest 😭😭😭
Ep 31's ending was great though - I could feel my annoyance with JYY building up only to find out that it was part of the plan! Good one, YJL and JYY!
Catching up on ep 30 now...JYY's whole harem wanting to follow her on her exploration :D
I love devoted men, but there are two delulu ones who supposedly have so much time and resources that someone else can take care of their schemes, businesses and ventures while they pine after the girl.
I love the matching couple outfits - the blue ones with the red trims, and JYY's red earrings are my favorite!
To lighten my mood, I re-watched the "lighter" scenes - Song Mo complaining to his single sidekicks, and the song Lu Ming chose to create the mood...lol
I don't know how much coaching the director provided, but Li Yun Rui did very well portraying his anticipation of what he thought would be coming and his adoring gazes at Dou Zhao.
So we see JiYong having emotional bond with FL, but he knows she doesn’t love him. Kind of feel sad for him.
I always thought that JiYong has a pure friendship with her, and never felt anything more. When he walked away, smiling after seeing them hugging, i had the impression that he was happy that his two good friends were ok.
The scenes of our couple in eps 22 and 23 were the shining moments but the mood ended heavy.
Even when karma finally bit that nasty, incorrigible villain, I didn't feel satisfied since it was at the expense of another one. I expected the death but still...it hurt. I liked how the show portrayed this character's life trajectory, and while I wish for a better ending for her, the way it ended was impactful.
Episodes 23 and 24 are my favorite so far - YJL is fighting his way back, and his confession. I've never wanted…
Yeah - Bai is definitely putting his plans in motion. So we have one more round of angst before YJL and JYY can settle properly into their happy married life. The problem is Zhao's face is now replaced by AI so it's true, the facial expressions look so unnatural...that's too bad. Still, I am just so done with the Zhao character and his obsession for JYY.
