I completely agree with you about the emotional delivery, which seemed to be lacking in the entire show so far...Anle not as revengeful as she should be, the lack of urgency during the fire scene, Hanye's reaction to the fake DCE when she first arrived before he even suspected anything, and now as you noted, Anning's and Hanye's inner reactions towards the truth

Oh really, I quite like the way the reveal was done. I rather it happened this way instead of Anle carrying out her original reveal plan.
I also like the way the different parties play each other.
Overall, the story has picked up for sure.
Slap in DCE's face - I don't even care if she is still around...since no one cares about her...except for Muqing, I guess
