The main thing is that both LYS and XG are well-adjusted because of their upbringing. Even though each has had troubles in their pasts, they also grew up in a supportive family environment, with the grandparents and mothers as strong role models. ZX did not have that and he had to bear the burden of his family from young. How can anyone blame him for trusting the people he was closest to like Ye Rong and his brother? Let's assume it's one kiss scene. With an average of 2 kisses per episodes, I think they can squeeze in spicier ones in the remaining 6 episodes plus definitely one at the wedding! Maybe this time, they will use less special lighting.

Chris, the woman that you are! One of the rare third party characters who are matured and confident.
In a way, I hope that Zhuang Xu does not end up with her (yet). He should focus on his career, build up his confidence and then truly enjoy the attention of the others or even better, learn to chase a girl properly!
Lai Wei Ming played this character perfectly - I want Zhuang Xu to learn a lesson but at the same time, I feel for him. LWM's expressions were spot on.

That actually makes sense. I think they both know the other wouldn’t intentionally hurt them, so whatever secrets they’re carrying feel acceptable. There’s a natural give-and-take between them, which is probably a healthy thing for any relationship.

After everything He said, I don't think he would have killed RSB. He probably also knew that RSB was not in the room.

Agree - that pairing is cute and if RSB and LJL conitnue to be their backers, they can have a pretty good life.

Ep 15: Advantage point to RSB. She actually managed to fool LJL this time. Lesson learned —if you’re going to act, commit all the way. Just like the 5th sister with the Bai scholar 😁

Anyone else thinks that it was really the twin of Yang Ding Chen who is the true murderer? Because that snake He said that Yang was already dying when he saw him.

Ep 14- Some people are really deranged - claiming to hate but also love RSB. I hope we really saw the end of that guy! No way he can survive that last attack, right?

I watched the drama version first and understand why some felt that the movie version was a bit rushed. However I enjoyed this movie version and I like some differences more in this version.
I also prefer the portrayals by Angelababy and Jing Boran - they were more natural and fitting to me.
Overall this was a great blast from the past, seeing many actors now have become main leads in their own shows!

Seven episodes in, the plot is gripping. The supporting cast is a bit uneven, but Edward Zhang is excellent. Ning Chang is also doing well, though her expressions feel very similar to her roles in other dramas. Still, solid performances overall.

Poor YBY—what a first mission. Luckily, she followed WMYL’s advice, though she also benefited from a fair bit of luck.

Perhaps...remembering the other shows like Hidden Love, First love, etc...they all started with initial kisses that felt more natural...who knows - it could be the directing but the director has some great shows under his belt. Anyway, we know the leads can deliver based on other dramas so I guess we will just wait and see.

Do those little pecks really count though...hope not 😂

We have more coming so let's see whether it was deliberately planned to show them getting more comfortable together, thus increasing the spice level :D
