Ep 16 - Water dripping off his hairāthat LJL scene š„µš„š And then RSB follows it up by making full use of her beauty. Honestly, just watching the two of them on screen is already a feast; the entertaining plot is merely a bonus.
I an only up to ep 19 but I can get why people love this xianxia. It really is quite different from the more recent ones. Chang Chen fits the role of the God of War so well and Nini is just perfect as a young maturing immortal. I love how we can see this manly GoW slowly develop feelings for our lovely LingXi, and the way he softens and show his adoration. I know there will be angst coming so I am preparing for it š
I enjoyed this movie. There were moments when the editing felt choppy but I really liked HXM's and Yang Mi's portrayals of the leads. They had great chemistry and their visuals are just amazing to look at. HXM really delivered the intensity I was expecting of He Yi Chen. Definitely recommend. Just don't compare to the drama that had more time to develop the backstory and characters.

I think he has after XiGuang very candidly and clearly told him where he had gone wrong. You're right - before that, he has not done much self-reflection other than acknowledging he should have followed his heart instead of listening to others, and that he should have known better about XiGuang's character. He also realized that he hesitated too much. After XiGuang's honest scolding, I don't think he has any choice but to be fully aware of his mistakes.

The main thing is that both LYS and XG are well-adjusted because of their upbringing. Even though each has had troubles in their pasts, they also grew up in a supportive family environment, with the grandparents and mothers as strong role models. ZX did not have that and he had to bear the burden of his family from young. How can anyone blame him for trusting the people he was closest to like Ye Rong and his brother? He did make wrong choices, and now he is paying for his mistakes but he really is not that despicable or hopeless like some people like to portray him.

Let's assume it's one kiss scene. With an average of 2 kisses per episodes, I think they can squeeze in spicier ones in the remaining 6 episodes plus definitely one at the wedding! Maybe this time, they will use less special lighting.

He should focus on his career, build up his confidence and then truly enjoy the attention of the others or even better, learn to chase a girl properly! Lai Wei Ming played this character perfectly - I want Zhuang Xu to learn a lesson but at the same time, I feel for him. LWM's expressions were spot on.

That actually makes sense. I think they both know the other wouldnāt intentionally hurt them, so whatever secrets theyāre carrying feel acceptable. Thereās a natural give-and-take between them, which is probably a healthy thing for any relationship.
