Not too bad. The romance was lukewarm. OK for a quick watch but I think you have to watch all 3 seasons for a complete story. I am not intrigued enough to finish S2 and S3.

This one was a good watch but didn’t hit the spot for me. I was hoping for a better sweeter romance but the ML was quite self-absorbed. In the end, I almost wanted the FL to reject him and have grovel because he just didn’t treat her like he was in love with her.
Other than the lack luster romance, it was entertaining to see the ML maneuver around the dirty tricks of the bad guys and end up impressing even the Emperor.
Overall, one of the better shows if you are not so interested in the romance part.

Still? I have not seen today's episodes, but I am getting tired of the misunderstanding.

Ahaha, I can relate. I remember in the beginning, everyone was suspecting her because she was just too saccharine sweet.

This was such a great show! The action scenes were so well done, and the final fight between the good and bad sides was pretty good too.

In the end, the story really came down to the women. Xia Jing Shi, Xia Jing Yan, and Feng Suige - everything they did in the end was tied to a woman in one way or another.

The romances were compelling — both the deep connection between the leads and the toxic mess between the second couple.

But what I loved most was the revenge. Whether hero or villain, everyone took care of the people who wronged them, and it felt so satisfying to watch it play out.

I do wish Chengyang had a happier ending. But at least he had two powerful siblings who truly cared for him, and that made it a little less sad.

Ning fei - I didn't think he would be the one to do the killing. What is that going to do to his mental health???

It was a cruel way for the Show to end all ties between Xiyang and Jinxiu,.

Up to ep 37, and I am still not sympathetic towards the Princess. I was not even moved by the brother-sister reunion and her so-called redemption.

She turned just as bad as XJS and XJY, but why does she deserve a different ending?

The parallels between Chengyang and Xingyan when it comes to their mothers are striking. In their own ways, both had their lives ruined by the very women who claimed to act “for their own good.” I love how they each ultimately stood up for themselves.
