That's true - I think Sun Zu Jun is standing out in this show although I think FYK is becoming quite tropey, like a typical villain. Kind of sad to see the plot and characters going downhill. You had commented that BCF is getting whitewashed and I agree - he's getting to be less interesting.
I did notice Liu Xueyi from L&R although I couldn't finish it. Didn't the like the actress playing the FL. I have Love Never Fails (2022) on my watch list - seems angsty...

Yeah I did. I can deal with bad acting if the actor at least made an effort. In this case, to me, the actress just showed up to say her lines and that's it. I have no memory of her in MG2018 but I watched her in Dr. Cutie. I thought she was bad then, lots of overacting but hey, at least she was trying and she was still fairly new. So I didn't drop the show.
This time round, I thought that she would have improved but instead of overacting, there was no acting...With so many good shows, with great actors, I didn't want to waste my time feeling irritated. I like Leon Leong and wanted to support him but when I could not see any chemistry after 15 episodes, that was it for me. I already know the storyline so there was not much else to keep me hanging on. Perhaps if I liked the visuals, I could have tolerated but their visuals are not appealing enough for me.

All that said, this is just my opinion - you may actually like it.

Too bad - wasted opportunity! Given Li Mu Ge's star power, he could have gotten another veteran to pull off a complex character. I like LYN but he hasn't not gotten enough experience yet.

I havae heard of Gum Yong but you know what, I have not seen the Condor Heroes, Heaven Sword etc. I was late to the world of wuxia...but it sounds like I have a few good options!

That's a good observation. I was kind of hoping for LM and BCF to get together and be this cunning clever villainous couple but I sort of forgot about her...who knows she may come back like ZXY...As for WR, one last rant and I'll stop (maybe), I love a good romance but this is the first drama where I wish there was no romance. All that nice romantic background music wasted on their scenes...just irritates me even more...

So true - I was so looking forward to WXS wandering off alone, gaining experiences but there she was, sticky like gum on the sole of a shoe....Even one look between WXS and ZXY gives me more feels....
