I think he does suspect. He’s not at odds with his father because of Minister Qi, he already had issues when his father left his mom and him. He was helping Minister Qi gather evidence against Lei Jing but now he’s finding out more and more that Qi’s real target is his father. Not sure if you watched the latest episodes so I won’t spoil further 😁

This couple continue to impress me with their maturity and thoughtfulness for each other! GQF asking Pan Er if she would still marry him if he did not get Censor Qi to be the matchmaker? No hesitation, not even a pause about what marrying Pan Er would do to his career. Then Pan Er wanting to switch business so that she would not negatively impact his career. She even did research into what is suitable for an official’s wife!

Me too! I do expect a lot more after 20 plus episodes of good writing! I don’t think ZHH is bad, just that she has her own selfish motivations too. But we will see - she will likely rise above and do the right thing
