When he first saw her, he looked stunned, starting at her from head to her hands and then when he sat down, his hand was kind of shaking.... I am trying to remember but I am guessing that he did not know about her involvement with Ouyang Xu. He seemed shocked when he found out about her engagement with Ouyang Xu,

Completely agree..and the love story here is indeed great (so far). I have not watch a CDrama where the ML is of lower status than the FL - any recommendations? I am watching a Thai Drama which is kind of like that and it is a fun watch too!

Yeah that's true and I know GQF does not feel that it is a sacrifice. I meant that it was viewed as a sacrifice by society. Like his boss saying that he would be sacrificing his career just like Ouyang Xu
I love how smart Pan Er is and how she turns things around in her favor...I was stressing out for her at the end of ep 16 but she handled things beautifully....should have more faith in our FL!

Yeah he did make it sound like it was not his fault about the other woman. But then he got all defensive and told GQF that he should understand, having been in a similar position of having to socialize… I do like the show’s focus on the main protagonists overcoming the social inequities. However, I wish that it’s not always the women who are the lower status and the men are the one who are portrayed as having to “sacrifice” to be with them

I had the same thought when the story unfolded further - that we have only heard one side of the story but at the same time his real father did not really try to defend himself much
Oh wow, not just a confession but a straight out proposal. GQF cutting to the chase! And Pan Er being completely honest and challenging his sincerity 🥰🥰🥰 Side note: LYF is so graceful - one of the few actresses who can actually dance 💕

Well said! Khun was not super warm at first but he was a kind person. He came back to help her on the bridge and then I think he was attracted to her when she was dancing with the kids. I agree that his bark is worse than his bite! He dishes out tough love but somehow is always there for her. The fire was definitely a catalyst for Khun realizing his feelings and in ep 11, he becomes even more obvious (at least to me 😁). Fah is still kind of oblivious! 😆 I think we have to wait for a few more episodes before Khun truly opens up and expresses himself. Right now it’s all hints, actions and cute stares!
