I was reading reviews on Douban and lately there have been more reviews with lower stars. The complaints were mostly about the lack of proper martial arts, the FL’s acting and a couple about how the ML does not fit his role. There are good reviews too though.
She is probably better at self defense and fighting since she has been training professionally as a stuntwoman. So in a way, she is stronger but the ML is no weakling. He can fight too and there’s been times when they work together in fighting off the villains.

Yeah Wu Lei did look tall but LYN and Allen Fang had those head pieces/hats or man buns that added to their height. Wu Lei didn't have extra props 😂. Just those gorgeous braids....

True, I do anticipate some character growth but I wish the screenwriters would change it up a bit where we have an amazing FL who is Hi So but not arrogant in terms of looking down on other people. You can still have good character development for a character who is used to the high society living but not snooty about it. I prefer lakorns where I am not annoyed by the leads from the beginning 😊 That said, I am enjoying this show very much!

First 4 episodes were engaging and I’m enjoying the show. The pacing seemed a bit off though and editing is somewhat choppy with quick transitions between the different sub plots. Still so far so good!
