In the end, I suppose I’ve become something of a Chu Zhao sympathizer. I expected to finally grow annoyed with him based on all the comments. Yet even after his obsessive streaks in episode 35, I felt only pity. for him

Perhaps it’s because he indirectly gave our main couple the chance to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other, and their conflict was resolved so quickly.

At the very least, his feelings for He Yan were genuine, and I can’t help but wish that the one person who truly loved him had remained by his side.

I enjoyed this mini drama. It’s a simple and heartwarming love story about two people who can’t quite let go of each other. Their chemistry felt natural and compelling, and the male lead was absolutely beautiful to look at. Recommended!

This is one of the rare short-length dramas that I rated very highly.
The story is engaging and fast-paced, and the viewers get the satisfaction of watching the good guys outsmart and defeat the villains almost all the time. The leads are not only attractive but also share great chemistry. The production quality is solid as well, making the overall experience enjoyable.

Ep 34 – Xiao Jue out here melting hearts left and right. He literally retraced some of HY’s life journey just so he could walk it with her.

Who cares if the plot sucks sometimes—at least the screenwriters know what they were doing when it comes to romance. Honestly, XJ has all the best love declaration lines. Man’s basically a one-man Hallmark card factory.

I have watched up to ep 33 and loved how the villains got taken down during the banquet.

I know it's too early to celebrate but really, this HRF is simply delusional. Still blaming everyone else and making excuses for himself. Pathetic! I hope he's not going to stick around until the end.

After four episodes, I’m struggling with how unlikable nearly everyone is. From the leads to the bit characters, even the doctors, the overall vibe is just plain rude, heartless, defensive or maniac. I can understand Tang Jun’s behavior, but with the rest—it feels like they intepreted being gritty as being downright obnoxious. Also the FL trying to be all noble and acting as the peacemaker, just comes across as being self righteous and pompous.

I want to support NJF, and the mystery of the killer is interesting enough to keep me watching for now. But it’s definitely not the most pleasant viewing experience when most characters are so annoying.

you described him perfectly!
That means you're right - CL really did portray XJ perfectly!
I did not read the novel so if the novel's description matches exactly what I saw on screen, that only shows how well CL brought him to life!

He stands out as my favorite male lead on his own merits. Brilliant and charismatic, strikingly handsome, and remarkably skilled in all that he does—his qualities seem endless.

Xiao Jue has officially become my favorite male lead. His public confession was breathtakingly romantic—heartfelt and honest yet free of any cringe. The way he unabashedly adores and admires HY, the pride shining in his eyes whenever he looks at her, and best of all, that hungry gaze that makes it seem like he wants to devour her whole—it’s perfection.

Ok, I need to rewatch eps 29 and 30 - they were so good…XJ’s discovery of the moon, HY’s tiptoeing, the confrontation between HY and HRF, XJ’s public declaration, XPT’s embarrassment, HRF digging a bigger hole for himself…So many scenes to savor and I’m not even mentioning the most notable ones to avoid the spoiler tags 😁

Ep 7 was so much fun! I love the ML and FL together. Sima Jiao can be cold and heartless but he has a funny side when it comes to Ting Yan. And Ting Yan is just so entertaining!

Not too hard, but not too soft - Sima Jiao certainly found the perfect way to give Ting Yan her “medicine”!

Writer should have matchmade HRF and XPT as a couple. LOL
If HRF wasn’t so vile that he doesn’t deserve any redemption, I wouldn’t have minded that outcome. They could have distracted each other instead 😂

The inn scene was so nicely directed... Fei Nu is going to play matchmaker from now on 💖
Totally agree! I like the rapport between the two guys. I just hope that nothing will happen to Feinu in the end!

I mean isn't that obvious ? :PShe is a spoiled brat thhat just discovered that her love interest isn't interested…
You’re probably right - I just wonder how she’s going to do that besides the cliched petty encounters when she tries to bully HY. She’s not interested in XJ so at least we know she won’t get her father to get an imperial edict to marry XJ to spite HY 😂
On Legend of the Female General Aug 18, 2025
Again, the fight scenes were great and it’s awesome to see how fast HY and XJ moved!

Love XJ’s expressions - he looked almost bored as he took on the assassins so easily and then his smiling face as he looked at HY during dinner. His poor brother was so confused 😂

I wouldn’t want Feinu’s job. It’s must be stressful trying to anticipate what XY wants…he’s doing well so far though.
On Legend of the Female General Aug 18, 2025
Two pathetic characters - He Ru Fei and Xu Ping Ting…both so delusional…we know HRF is beyond redemption but I wonder if the spoiled XPT will cause trouble for HY.

I’m glad Chu Zhao achieved one of his goals but I hope he’s able to win against his master.
