Truth. But at the same time, it is reality. Very few actually honors confidentiality. Humans cannot hold something…
Ah ok, then I won't say too much about the show...sorry about that!
The problem I have is that if I feel comfortable telling my close friends and trust them, then they might feel comfortable and trust some other folks. So on and so forth. That's how secrets get spilled and spread :D
As you can probably tell, I am a stickler for certain rules - haha!

I think whenever you go ..."oh sh*t", that's a clear sign that you did something wrong :)
The issue with the FL for me is that for her, there was not even an "oh sh*t" moment . No self-awareness or reflection that she might have done something wrong. Not only when it comes to protecting client interests but also the her other past mishaps or faux pas. . It's like she's coasting through her job just because she has the plot armor of a FL. It's difficult for me to take her seriously as a character :)

Based on what the roommates and her were discussing, it didn't sound like she omitted any information at all including the clients' identity - perfect example was the case for ep 10. Same thing with ep 9.
I get that people can discuss using hypothetical examples or high-level details but the show is not portraying the FL in a good light to me at least.

I don’t think it’s enough to just brush this off as her “being human.” In reality, certain professions are built on respecting the rules of their work, and it’s reasonable to expect them to uphold those standards.
Lawyers, for example, are bound not just by law but also by professional ethics to maintain attorney–client privilege—just as we expect psychologists, psychiatrists, and medical professionals to protect confidentiality. The world would be a miserable place if people excused every breach of trust as human weakness.
Of course, not every one will live up to these standards. But that’s what makes it so ridiculous that the show would portray the FL as one of these untrustworthy or untrained ones. Unless the writers intend us to see her as a third-rate rookie who cannot even remember law 101 —or worse, as someone wholly unworthy of being a lawyer—it feels absurd for her to violate such a basic code of her profession.
I liked the ending of Episode 9 because it felt both realistic and relatable. It showed the moral ambiguity that defines many real-world situations—reminding us that the "right" choice is often far from clear, and that people are guided mainly by their own subjective sense of justice.
While the outcome of Episode 9 remained within the bounds of the law and was legally justified, what made it truly compelling was the way the community rallied around the accused—their actions driven not by legal obligation, but by personal conviction and a shared sense of justice.
The episode reminded me of the old saying, "It takes a village to raise a child," but with a poignant twist to it: it also takes a village to seek justice for one as well.
Episode 8 could have been great without the three friends laughing at the video of the wife beating the husband!…
I agree. I can feel satisfied and take pleasure in knowing that he was punished. But laughing like that while watching someone get so badly beaten up is a little deranged to me. I guess there’s a possible sadist in any of us and the doctor roommate has already shown some gray morals.
The FL really has no professionalism or work ethics. Among her many mistakes, she apparently has forgotten about the attorney-client privilege. How can she be discussing and sharing client details with her roommates? Honestly I would rate this show higher if it wasn’t for the badly written FL.
Ep 10 was lovely but not enough… when is S2 going to air??? I need to see our couple as the endgame, especially when the second couple was so cute! It’s awesome that they have the cast sing most of the OSTs!
FZX and HLX deserve full recognition after this. A wonderful portrayal of pure, noble love that endured through political scheming and the relentless ambition of power-hungry enemies. The political intrigue is well written, featuring intelligent, strategic characters on both sides of the conflict—good and bad. I appreciate that the show empowered the women, making them smart and also physically skilled of protecting themselves. I would have wanted a less realistic ending but the outcome made the story more poignant.
Started watching today and already binged up to episode 7. I'm really enjoying the cases and the way the characters interact—there’s a nice dynamic there. That said, I'm not totally sold on the female lead. She's clearly brilliant, but her ditsy behavior and lack of self-awareness especially when it comes to professionalism don’t really land for me. All her “I’m sorry” are getting tiresome. Perhaps it’s the acting or just the character is not written well. I’m fine with the possibility of romance (age gaps don’t bother me), but honestly, I’m way more invested in the cases than the love story.
Have you watched ep. 13 yet? I wonder what her 'true ambition' (00:14on video) is ?
You’re right - we will likely have to fill some gaps ourselves! I think we can assume that it was the Grand Preceptor and Yin Zhing that poisoned the Emperor, as she implied…. I hope it is a happy ending 😭
Dear Show, I’m sorry for venting about the ending of episode 8 but it was misleading. I see how it ultimately revealed Yeo Reum’s growth and the lessons she’s carried from her “missions.”
Touching discovery and happy outcome in Yeo Reum’s latest journey in ep 9, only to be shadowed once by an angsty twist.
I can’t wait to see where her ultimate decision leads—and yes, I’m still rooting hard for Yeon Seok oppa!
This was an okay watch. The leads were definitely the highlight—they looked great together and had good chemistry, even if the story itself left much to be desired. The beginning and ending managed to draw me in, but the middle dragged with tropes I just couldn’t stand, so I ended up skipping through several episodes. All in all, it’s a decent drama if you just want to enjoy a good-looking cast and don’t mind rolling your eyes (or getting frustrated) at the plot.

I had two thoughts about that scene - because she mentioned that the Emperor still drinks some kind of tea at night. So either she is going to drug the Emperor and blackmail him into marrying her or she is going to poison him.
