“This is my business” must be the FL’s favorite line. Every other episode, she reminds the ML that she can take care of her own affairs but she still ends up needing to be rescued. Even the human trader in ep 10 got it right when he literally called her and her maid dumb. And the only person she can mock and win on her own is an old man who can barely lift his arms.
I do like how they are portraying the ML so I’m going to give it a few more episodes. However if the FL doesn’t find out soon about the ML, I will probably drop this show.
I said exactly this in a early comment. She's all bravado and that's so disappointing. She had 6 months to prepare…
Totally agree with you! Other than learning how to change her appearance, she could have done so much more. Sigh, after eps9 and 10, I’m still disappointed.
I was actually confused… I kept waiting for the traps FL set for the villains… especially being alone again…
It felt like the screenwriters didn’t know how to write a consistent plot for a smart FL. She did have moments where she actually used her brains but her actions were mostly sloppy and she was winging it for the most part.

Yeah, that part was a let down. There she was challenging him and in the end, almost became a victim again. Definitely not a smart FL revenge story m…more showing that this time the ML is not going to be too late in his rescue.
Same…hopeful this continues to tell a coherent storyline. I like how it started, so far finished 6ep.
I am catching up :) This is probably an unpopular opinion but I don’t want any romance between CL’’s and Jelly Lin’s characters. Don’t ask me why, I just don’t see them together but I know it will happen if there’s going to be romance in the show 😊
I love the dramatic flair of mini dramas, and this one definitely delivers on that front. That said, some scenes of abuse might be triggering for certain viewers. The leads look amazing together, but I can’t help feeling let down by the FL. Instead of being sharp and strategic in her quest for revenge, she’s always one step behind and ends up playing the damsel in distress, waiting for the ML to swoop in. What makes it more frustrating is that she talks a big game—full of bravado about handling her own revenge—yet never actually pulls it off.
Hanging in there for the pleasure of seeing the villains get punished and for the ML
Cheng Lei is looking sharp right from episode 1! Surprised that there’s no comments about the Lin family but I don’t want to start the complaining. 😁 I’m usually pretty cautious with republican-era dramas—they tend to start strong but lose steam along the way. Fingers crossed this one can hold steady.
This drama is such a delightful watch—light, fun, and with almost zero angst. Sure, it’s cheesy, but it’s the kind of cheese that makes you smile and laugh rather than cringe. The leads nailed that transition from friends to lovers in a way that felt natural and relatable, and their circle of friends was absolutely the best. On top of that, you couldn’t ask for more supportive parents.
If you’re looking for something easy, heartwarming, and genuinely enjoyable, I’d definitely recommend this one.
Truth. But at the same time, it is reality. Very few actually honors confidentiality. Humans cannot hold something…
My biggest gripe is that instead of focusing on the perpetrator, they were dissecting the doctor and everything that happened during that interview with the lawyers, the doctor, and her husband. That’s crossing into specific client details.
I’m with you on the FL dragging her doctor friend into this, too. And just like that, the friend is told every detail of the case without any vetting? Way too convenient.
As for episode 10, I was downright indignant toward the end when the FL didn’t even acknowledge her mom. Perhaps I missed it, but when she was asked how she obtained the video—or even when others praised her—no credit was given to her mother.
But in the end, you’re right—it is a drama. They’ll always bend reality to make things juicier or to move the plot along. Whether it’s legal or not… who cares, right? Haha!

👋
Haha, I guess I really am a stickler for rules—I don’t even share work details with my closest friends or family.
Back when I was in investment banking, the most I ever did was vent about my boss or complain about colleagues, but I was always super tight-lipped when it came to clients :D
Of course, I know plenty of people do have that inner circle they trust completely. I just hope the folks being gossiped about never find out! 😂

You're right - I have very very few friends that I would share stuff with 😀
I am enjoying the show - for the cases, the ML overall and the FL's moments of brilliance. That's why I get annoyed when her character is not consistent.

They did come to their senses soon after the roommate realized how much the sister has suffered.
