In the end, I suppose Iāve become something of a Chu Zhao sympathizer. I expected to finally grow annoyed with him based on all the comments. Yet even after his obsessive streaks in episode 35, I felt only pity. for him
Perhaps itās because he indirectly gave our main couple the chance to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other, and their conflict was resolved so quickly.
At the very least, his feelings for He Yan were genuine, and I canāt help but wish that the one person who truly loved him had remained by his side.
I enjoyed this mini drama. Itās a simple and heartwarming love story about two people who canāt quite let go of each other. Their chemistry felt natural and compelling, and the male lead was absolutely beautiful to look at. Recommended!
This is one of the rare short-length dramas that I rated very highly. The story is engaging and fast-paced, and the viewers get the satisfaction of watching the good guys outsmart and defeat the villains almost all the time. The leads are not only attractive but also share great chemistry. The production quality is solid as well, making the overall experience enjoyable.
Ep 34 ā Xiao Jue out here melting hearts left and right. He literally retraced some of HYās life journey just so he could walk it with her.
Who cares if the plot sucks sometimesāat least the screenwriters know what they were doing when it comes to romance. Honestly, XJ has all the best love declaration lines. Manās basically a one-man Hallmark card factory.
I have watched up to ep 33 and loved how the villains got taken down during the banquet.
I know it's too early to celebrate but really, this HRF is simply delusional. Still blaming everyone else and making excuses for himself. Pathetic! I hope he's not going to stick around until the end.
After four episodes, Iām struggling with how unlikable nearly everyone is. From the leads to the bit characters, even the doctors, the overall vibe is just plain rude, heartless, defensive or maniac. I can understand Tang Junās behavior, but with the restāit feels like they intepreted being gritty as being downright obnoxious. Also the FL trying to be all noble and acting as the peacemaker, just comes across as being self righteous and pompous.
I want to support NJF, and the mystery of the killer is interesting enough to keep me watching for now. But itās definitely not the most pleasant viewing experience when most characters are so annoying.
That means you're right - CL really did portray XJ perfectly! I did not read the novel so if the novel's description matches exactly what I saw on screen, that only shows how well CL brought him to life!
He stands out as my favorite male lead on his own merits. Brilliant and charismatic, strikingly handsome, and remarkably skilled in all that he doesāhis qualities seem endless.
Xiao Jue has officially become my favorite male lead. His public confession was breathtakingly romanticāheartfelt and honest yet free of any cringe. The way he unabashedly adores and admires HY, the pride shining in his eyes whenever he looks at her, and best of all, that hungry gaze that makes it seem like he wants to devour her wholeāitās perfection.
Ok, I need to rewatch eps 29 and 30 - they were so goodā¦XJās discovery of the moon, HYās tiptoeing, the confrontation between HY and HRF, XJās public declaration, XPTās embarrassment, HRF digging a bigger hole for himselfā¦So many scenes to savor and Iām not even mentioning the most notable ones to avoid the spoiler tags š
Ep 7 was so much fun! I love the ML and FL together. Sima Jiao can be cold and heartless but he has a funny side when it comes to Ting Yan. And Ting Yan is just so entertaining!
Not too hard, but not too soft - Sima Jiao certainly found the perfect way to give Ting Yan her āmedicineā!
Writer should have matchmade HRF and XPT as a couple. LOL
If HRF wasnāt so vile that he doesnāt deserve any redemption, I wouldnāt have minded that outcome. They could have distracted each other instead š
