He was pretty useless so far. Even in the flashbacks we only saw his failures. Ooh the satisfaction of seeing the FL slapping and telling him that she is truly not interested! I guess we can change her ending in the script but let’s hope they wrap up the show to our satisfaction

Haha! I did the same. I’m pausing until the leads finally can start working together. Her fake amnesiac stunt annoyed the heck out of me and I can’t stand her deciding to work with others instead.

So true - such disappointing character growth or lack of. Since then he’s blaming NH. And every time he’s challenged to provide evidence, he can only react like a deer caught in headlights…

I actually like this actor. His character is not as bad in the Princess Gambit but I guess the actor is on a roll with jerk ruler characters 😁

True , the politics in this drama really center around self-interests and desires. Only NH/LSL ever talked about the people’s interests. Even CGH was not as noble.

Yeah I agree- that’s what I really want. For him and CGH to realize how blind and prejudiced they have been. They could have helped and supported a truly worthy heir instead of that buffoon of an 18th Prince. No matter how much the emperor fears NH’s power, does he really want his legacy to continue with an idiot?

If only the mother would just think a little and not be such a major weakness for NH.
The emperor is still trying to weaken NH with his demand for the military token but it seems like he is pushing less. Instead he is threatening to keep hm by his side under his watch always.
Don’t know - I guess it’s my wishful thinking. I want NH to get some sort of proper acknowledgement from his father.

Just caught up with ep 26. Didn’t it seem like the emperor is changing his mind about NH? It was a short scene and he was still acting like an a$$hole but there appeared to be a shift in his attitude

Great cinematography, acting, directing and execution. However it did get draggy towards the end and once I knew the culprit and the reason, the premise was too weak and I started losing interest.

True, that’s his typical response to everything NH does. That guy is just delusional - I think he’s turned his guilt about abandoning NH into blaming him for everything

NH should investigate the battle of Ping Rong and send all the evidence to CGH like a slap in the face!

The director spoke up so I am now just waiting for SYM to wake up and “tear off the label and put down the prejudice”. I think we are all tired of the seemingly lack of progress in her thinking and the constant takedown of NH

No I’m referring to her coming to the conclusion herself, as she was trying to sort it all out. She kept misunderstanding everything and making it sound worse and worse.
