Hah - seems like the screenwriters all share the same idea.
I am also watching another police investigation show where the villains also tried the same method to distract the police by accusing the group leader of bribery/corruption.
I feel that Lawyer Sun should be more sensitive to his son's feeling and conditions. He keeps dishing out all these platitudes while his son is clearly showing unhappiness....How can he expect someone to just change his lifestyle and habits just like that???
I am not sure about that since kids don't get their ids until later and a birth certificate can be fake. Although a gap of 5 years is probably like you said, a bit of a stretch. Also, there are people who have repressed memories so it is possible that Ran ran does not have good memories of her early childhood. Plus the police invetigate people's backgrounds all the time. No DNA taking of course, as you mentioned. Anyway, that's not how the story played out. I just hope it is not the yoga teacher like some people suspect :D
This Sun lawyer - at first I thought he was going to do something terrible after the first scare, and then he looked like he finally died of grief after receiving the phone call from Ai Xin...
This show is good at causing tension! At least for me 😊 All the false hopes and false alarms...
😭 I’m still tearing up from the ending of ep 16. This show really does well reflecting the psychology of the victims. As for the bad guys, they are just pure scum. The worst is women exploiting other women. Like one of the traffickers said, women are the most vicious 😡
Some were speculating that Ranran could be the vicious woman but I hope not. Perhaps it can be explained by Stockholm Syndrome but it would be so tragic.
Every episode tugs at my emotions. So much despair, yet hope at the same time. With the latest victim's return to her family, perhaps DY will find RanRan after all...
It's exciting to watch the net grow tighter around the main villain!
I hope ep 8 ending is just a false alarm! Goodness, what a ride these past 8 episodes have been...and I applaud the show for capturing the reactions and emotions of the victims so well!

I know there’s no romance but the romantic in me is starting to imaging DY and CR ending up together and adopting Fafa 😅
