I prefer the movie version in terms of entertainment value but this drama version was a pretty good watch. It just got a bit draggy for me towards the end. I think some of the side stories felt too much like filler scenes and were not that interesting.
The leads did a good job but I agree with some that the ML is more cute instead of cool or dashing (compared to movie version). I was getting impatient with the FL in the beginning because she came across somewhat vapid but her character growth developed nicely.
Overall, this is a sweet and light high-school romance.
I feel very suspicious that he's either part of a bigger plan or just has a very deep grudge towards HRY
True - each episode just moves along nicely and the screenwriter knows what she is doing. If that is the reason YZ gave to show only 32 episodes, then it is indeed a bad decision.
hey dear you are here too hugss!!! btw do you think my super strange idea about Zhang Suan is the child is weird…
🤗🤗🤗 Your idea is actually not that strange. I do feel like he has a connection to them in some way. We have had shows in the past featuring sons falling for their mothers at first so the concept isn't too weird lol
This makes sense too, in the end they would have faced a tribulation if they really wanted to be together. Their…
That's true - the love tribulation in the mortal realm was really a joke. Well, if they still love each other after all that suffering and pain, then the gods better give us a happy ending!
It’s great to see such divided opinions—just like the main characters said, there’s no absolute right or wrong; it all depends on the path you’re on. The show is doing a great job presenting both sides and allowing each character to justify their choices.
The perfect xianxia—full of misunderstandings, miscommunication, and misconceptions.
He did everything to protect her, yet she believed he had abandoned her. He thought she wanted him dead, not realizing she loved him all along. She plotted so meticulously but in the end, he was fully aware and playing along.
Just catching up on ep 20 and at this point, I want to see two people really punished - Fan Jiao Jiao, Ling’er’s father and that Long Yuan. Both incredibly dense, prejudiced, selfish and so narrow minded. I really just want to smack them to the netherworld.
Such a gem. I found this after watching the 2023 drama version and enjoyed it. Didn’t realize the ML passed away 😭 until after I finished. I understand why so many commented how he was the better Kazehaya.

HRY should have just broken his legs right there and then. Wasted opportunity!
Testing HRY and BJS, putting them through endless trials to see if they truly are each other’s perfect half
