I was in love with MM during January thus it became the first xianxia that I rewatched. Hope the ending of this one is good so that I can happily binge and judge for myself.

Btw, what’s with the rating here? Why is it not increasing? It is more popular in China than BL’s earlier xianxia this year, MM considering the heat index. But the MDL rating of this is lower. Can those who have watched both tell me why there’s such difference in ratings? Is it not as good as MM?

Have you finished it? Is the romance here really that heartwarming while being subtle?

Maybe you should rewatch it with maturity to spare me of dumb explanations. It was clear as day that the girl was into him. And friends "usually" do not show up as each other's plus ones in a wedding. There is no reason to attend a wedding with another woman or to clear his head when he already confirmed that his first love, loves him back through Miji's drunk confession. It was foolish and annoying!

It was not just that one incident. He also tagged along with her as her plus one in the wedding. He brought her in that old woman's restaurant. It became annoying

Also, most of the episodes of AoS were 1.5 hour long. That is basically twice the length of one Chinese drama episode. If we take that into consideration AoS is basically a 40 episode xianxia!!

If Miji is the one he likes, why is Ho Su hanging around Ji Hyun? He is basically leading that girl on! Why is he so wishy washy about even after Miji's drunk confession!?

The comments were complaining about the FL when it is actually the ML who is insufferable! Most of her actions though annoying, were justified and were result of intentional instigation. She goes throught one of the best character developments. However, what the ML puts her though from ep 7 onwards is just harassment and bullying in simple words. While some of you may swoon over his gradual development of feelings and constant jealousy, he has a very destructive way of dealing with his these feelings. He continuously slut-shames the FL in his jealousy even when she is just simply talking to a person of the opposite gender. His feelings clearly doesn't make her feel loved or protected rather it's a mix of insult, obsession and ownership. Even his own friends notice it and repeatedly warned him but he perceives himself too mighty to allow any peer advice. What's more infuriating is that the FL seems to give into him the moment he confesses instead of pushing him away. Why the writers decided to reduce her to a doormat who gives into the guy, reponsible for making her life a living hell, is something I will never understand. That's when I had to stop watching. He should have grovelled! He clearly does not deserve her.

No matter how much I try, I cannot just get into this drama! The FL is perfect! It’s the ML who ruins this drama for me! There is zero development of his character or should I say he doesn’t have any depth in his character. Even when he is performing difficult tasks, it doesn’t really look heroic. As a result, I don’t see the palpable chemistry that everyone here is talking about. I am at ep 12 and atp, even Furong has better chemistry with the FL.

Has the airing schedule for the last 10 episodes been released? I can't find it in the discussion section.

This comment section almost gaslighted me into missing out on such a beautiful drama! A solid 8.5 - 9 for me. The leads make up for the lack of kissing scenes with their chemistry and thoughtful gestures for each other! This girl despite having arthritis which makes the monsoon painful for her, starts loving rain after meeting him, and y’all were questioning her love for the ML?! Physical intimacy is not always necessary for a passionate love. The way they love each other and hold on to each other despite the hurdles shows their true passion.

Everything aside, I loveee how happy the FL looks after her breakup as she gradually grows closer to the ML. She literally glows with happiness and her parents also noticed it. She could hardly manage 2 lines in front of her ex but with the ML, she literally goes on yapping! That’s what healthy companionship does!

I got spoiler from the comments here that she is a spy or something like that. Still, in the eyes of the people, he is a husband to 2 women. This is a huge disrespect towards the FL. Besides, the FL was always careful about the image of their marriage. By bringing a concubine, he has ruined that image. Btw, does the concubine remain in the drama till the end?

I want to watch this drama because I love the FL since her L&P days and also heard praises about the ML. But I need to know how much romance is there in this drama? I don't mind a slow burn or romance as a subplot. Is the romance here as subtle as that of "The Double"?
