Have you experienced it? Can you tell us now whether we should trust the ratings or not?

Can you spoil it for me? What kind of open ending is it? I need to know that to decide whether I want to watch it or not. Do the lead pair end up together?

He is a good guy. He is righteous and loves silently. However, he is the type to put his duty towards humanity above love. Not really the hero who would burn the world for the FL.

The leads get together in a gradual process. Initially, the first act of compassion was as early as Fang Yue letting her stay for her father's funeral. After that, his actions and gradual care for her is quite evident. The romance become more highlighted in the Yi City

It's a happy ending for our main leads.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a xianxia so much. I did not want it to end. This was nothing less than a masterpiece.

I still do not understand why they keep saying that Fang yue is the one who saved Mu Jiu when adult Mu Jiu was already with them in that resentment realm? Fang Yue saved that child in the present but Mu Jiu's real age is around 1000 so years?! Was time moving in a different way in there?

The ML is simply the just hero who would ALWAYS choose his duty towards humanity over the FL. He is the type to die for humanity rather than live for the FL. The FL is portrayed as a pathetic fool who waits for him and sacrifices for him repeatedly instead of assuming her divinely powerful position. This same stupid cycle continues. In every arc, the SML is glorified for no reason just through his act of choosing love over everything. Hence, all his misdeeds are easily forgiven and he turns out to be the greatest lover. This is a great tactic to make audience sympathize with the SML (even I, myself sympathized with him more than the ML. Now, who can escape the makers well-planned vision?) because after all, we are here for the romance and true essence of love is upheld by none other than the SML who goes against rules- regulations and even divine laws for love.

I find the original Chaos Pearl's (ancient artifact) actions to be quite belittling. Everybody is focusing on their duties (be it the fate, xilin princess, Zhao Ming himself) yet she is the only one behaving like a kid and devoting her life to a man (Zhao Ming) for whom she would never be the priority over his people. She is all about love and emotions and thus doesn't want to go back to her pervious elevating and powerful position at the alter, but what love did she gain with zhao Ming? He neither married her nor even confessed anything. (Ep 34). I do not understand Chinese xianxia writers obsession with degrading FLs and making them pathetic beings who are ready to sacrifice their lives for men while those men are ready to marry somebody else just for their people.

Everybody complains about the slow burn romance but that is not the main problem of this drama. It's this girl called, Meng Meng. The writer should have just named the drama MENG MENG and saved me from watching such a illogical drama. Why is a side character getting so much importance? Only the twisted brain of our writer can answer that. It was the boyfriend who was previously obsessed with that meng meng and from ep 30 onwards it's the girlfriend (Tou Tou) who is obsessed with her. At this point, they should break up, leave TCM and fight each other about spending the rest of their lives at the grave of Meng Meng 😑

What's this obsession with curing your patient that everybody (grandfather, Mother and even Tou Tou herself) is misunderstanding his intentions? What a red flag ML is this one because all this while he had feelings for Tou Tou. I cannot tolerate that girl (meng meng) anymore. Why is she getting so much importance that it is threatening the main ship of the show? Which clueless writer wrote this bs!

At epi 21, not the mom putting all the blame on Tou Tou and saying my boy is an obedient one when she knows her son is sneakily rebellious. It’s just easy to put all the blame on the orphan.

Oh my! I wished for her to go away and she did for holidays. Now the leads are together and being adorable in their secret operation. I love the way he smiles at her and she worries about his safety

I think having little expectations for romance helps in enjoying this drama. I am actually able to enjoy the tiny bits and pieces of interactions the leads are having by looking out for each other and always supporting each other. The problem is that girl Su Meng. How long is she gonna stick with the ML?! And why with the ML? She likes FL too (she even hugged her). So, why can't she be with a girl? While I don't mind the Slowwww burn subtle romance of our leads, Meng Meng clinging to the ML is very disturbing to me.

I have never seen a more annoying FL. Everyone is collectively misunderstanding her relationship with that young coach but she does nothing to draw a line with him. What a red flag!

How is the romance in this drama, guys?

"love a kiddo"?! I don't think we can use modern moral compass to judge a fantasy character or fantasy romance. Also, this seems to be a gendered problem. Did you also have problem with Goblin, My Demon, Tale of the Nine Tailed, Doom at your service, Habaek, where the male leads are the "grandpas" ?

If the FL who was 17-18 at that time and Goblin with a 40 years old face can fall in love then Da On (late 30’s) and Bit Na (early 40’s) can also fall in love. He specified that it was her judgement skills that made him fall in the first epi and later the feelings seem to deepen when she believed and stood by him besides getting angry and sad on behalf of him (which he said he liked very much and thanked her for). Physical appearance barely had anything to do with their love
