When (in which episode) does she realize that she has been wrong about him all along and starts softening up to him?

All these Shamans are extremely annoying with their approach to Yeomhwa. They keep trying to humanize her when that lady is rotten to the core. She is always plotting behind their backs and every time they find it out, they either forgive her or let her off saying she is feeble. The most ridiculous thing was letting her stay in the same house as Bong Su. They indirectly made all the arrangements for this to turn into a disaster. They are as responsible for this as she is.

Can you provide an honest review on the couple of this drama? MDL comments are becoming increasingly untrustworthy nowadays. I am torn between whether to watch this or not. I hate dramas where the love feels too one sided and the comments are saying that the FL distrusts and makes the ML suffer too much. When do they get together? Does the ML suffer too much?

Persoanlly I like Hidden Love better than The First Frost and it has more to do with the pacing and execution than the FLs' characterizations. But yeah I love seeing FLs being portrayed as strong, emotionally intelligent women who know what they want and do not hesitate to go after it. That's why I love Zhang Jingyi's dramas. She almost always plays that kind of roles.

So true. Before watching the drama, these comments made me fear that I was going to watch one of those pathetic FLs who clings to the jerk ML despite his abusive behavior. Thank god I gave this drama a chance. The ML and FL had flaws, but they were perfect together.

The comments here which are blaming and bashing the FL are a bunch of hypocrites. I bet you'll are the same people who cannot stop praising Sang Yan (The First Frost) but you have a problem when it's the FL making an effort.
She did not compromise with her education or career dreams, she was also consistent with her all other relationships, so I do not see why her wanting some kind of closer from him is such a big problem

I was right lmao! In your desperation, you become so defensive that you don't even give time to understand what the other person is saying. Why are you explaining her intentions to me? I never questioned her intentions. I know that she has compassionate intentions. What the problem is that, her actions are miscalculated and wrong. She goes by only caring about the intentions not the consequences of her action. She helps that dude out of compassion but does not analyze that it could lead to them having to spend nights alone. She repeatedly helps him out with the pure intentions of making up for the years of service by his grandpa, but does not consider the fact that, keeping an eye on him through that branch is borderline obsessive. As a result, her actions despite rooted in compassion, become far from it.

I still see a difference between her actions and compassion. She did not need to keep saving the grandson multiple times. The ML's change of heart and transformation now in ep 20 can be called compassion. While hers were more like obsession as she even kept a tree branch to know when he is in trouble.

Also, i am not talking about spending night planning about killing the dragon. Even before that, she saved him and took him far away from that place and spent nights in a house.

Saving life once or twice can be called compassion. Keeping a branch without his knowledge to keep an eye on how he is doing, is what takes it further to the level of obsession. Taking him far away despite knowing that she will not be able to use magic immediately and will have yo spend the night with him, further makes it problematic. A ML would have been tagged as a red flag if he had done the same things in name of compassion. But again, I too respect your opinion.

I do not know what your defination of obsession is! But running to help that grandson every single time he is in some trouble does seem obsessive to me. He was not a baby. Bro had his own missions. She had already done enough by saving the grandpa and grandson's life from death. There was no reason to help them more.

Also, no she did not listen to the ML. She initially tried to send him away but let him stay when he knelt for a day. So, she in a way went against her husband again. She keeps promising her husband that it is the last time but breaks that promise repeatedly.

If it was a ML doing this for another girl, we wouldn't tolerate it. Her obsession
with saving him resulted in her having to spend nights with him alone in a house! People are blind if they don't see how problematic that is.

I am in ep 15, and her constant meddling in Changin's life is very annoying. Like the man himself doesn't want to go with her! What is this obsession with protecting him when she had already done enough for his grandpa! She won't even listen to her husband!
Honestly, if it was the ML obsessively protecting a girl, people would have bashed him with no mercy!

Both in the novel and in the show, they officially get together at the end. Then the novel added two extra chapter that showed their happy married life and children. So, no official breakup. But they do have a fall out around ep 13.

Since the Korean version has just 16 episodes, it was not explored that well. However, the Chinese Version (Go Ahead) explores the horrors of it. The ML literally develops mental health problems and has to take medication. There was this one scene in which, he is haunted by her voice. It was traumatic!

Do both of them lie about not having an umbrella in ep 18? When she is washing her clothes in the next scene, it shows an umbrella in her bag!
