I get it that some do sit in front of the screen for 16 hours for an attractive male lead however if the plot is utter bs, most won't be able to do that. Lmao! Was i seriously exchanging opinions with someone who doesn't get the difference between whoring around and being in a committed relationship?! Here i thought that you simply like to twist others' words to prove a point. None of the women mentioned till now were shagging men (usually casual, no strings attached physical intimacy with multiple people at the same period of time), they were in committed relationships with one man, so no they were not whoring around. Twisting my words would get you nowhere.

Your fixation with the perspective that only the leads whoring around would bring depth and tension in the storyline is quite hilarious. The way you still cannot get into Thai Lakorns despite it having exactly what you are looking for confirms it. I just proved with one example that kdramas have hundred of ways to bring both tension and depth in the storylines. Hope you would soon be able to see that and put youself out of such misery!

I am simply not attracted to any kind of “shagging” of other people by the leads. I would also ask you not to twist my words because my comment clearly indicates that I was attributing the manwhore tag to MLs who are shagging women, there is a stark difference between shagging women and being in a relationship.

Hatred is the last thing on my mind when I’m simply exchanging opinions with somebody. You however, do seem to hate kdramas, the comparison with porn is surprising. It’s usually the characters’ personalities, beliefs and overall situations that add tension and depth in these romances, not their previous relationship dynamic. (Ex: the tension in “Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale” comes from the opposite views that the leads share regarding money. ML despises “gold digging” due to his mother while the FL simply believes in the statement “why would one choose the hard way when there are easier options like gold digging” due to the difficulties she faced in her life. Their acceptance of e/o’s views and development of opinion due e/o’s influence further add depth in the storyline.

I would say you are searching for depth in the wrong places hence you seem to consider kdrama storylines worse than porn, at the same time, don’t find that depth in Thai lakorns even though they are decorated with your desired dynamic.
