Title Moon River
The villain is not pitiful at all. It is his fault that his lover was taken from him. He was powerless against the king but so is the crown prince and the grand prince. They are still fighting for their love. It was his cowardice that cost him his lover. He could stop at ruining the previous king. Yet he drags the whole royal family’s lives through hell though they have nothing to do with the incident. He torments the grand prince, the son of his lover whom she loved the most. He traps her in that place in name of protecting her when she would definitely want to see and be with her son (which is proved as she instantly regains her sanity after her son begs her). I am at ep 14, and if I do not get the worst, most cruel ending for this villain, I will be very disappointed

Does the Left State Chancellor get punished?! I do not care how wronged he was! He has no right to ruin the lives of the innocent people like the crown prince, princess, Dal, the grand prince and his own daughter. I need to see a vicious ending for him to calm my anger towards him.

you'll kinda forgive him when you see the ending
I hope so. I am in ep 9, I have already forgiven the ML's tantrums and the 2nd ML's out of nowhere confession when she is already stressed. However, I think I am enjoying the prosecutor's downfall a bit too much for now.

I am on ep 7 and all the men this drama are getting on my last nerve, especially that useless good for nothing prosecutor, who has only come this far due to nepotism! I also dislike the tantrums the ML is throwing.

I cannot stop laughing when the ML calls himself a jerk for falling for the Fan Ling so quickly and his friend silently mouths that he has just found that out too 🤭🤣

There's an audience for everything. For other people, say, a show where the leads get together at 75% or later…
You are correct. I absolutely adore Yang Yang and Reba. But their joint face cards could not force me to sit through those long boring hours after they become a couple. I mean people who watch only for romance and face cards may like that but people like me who values plot, definitely find it boring. I love the romance aspect but not senseless, mindless romance without any plot. While most of modern C-dramas suffer from this plot-lessness, there are some good ones toom

O_oUhnnnn.... How many episodes have you watched? What do you consider the 'good stuff?'
Hey, I totally get you. Did you finish watching it? When does the FL start "winning"? Does he pursue the real her (filterless her)?

I liked it but I think it didn't need that many episodes
When does he get to know her real face? And does he regret and pursue her real self for his past harsh behavior towards her?

I found myself agreeing with you. Im torn if I really like it or not there's something missing or maybe its just…
Right? I got so excited seeing the ratings here and also because I really liked both of their latest works before this one, but this is a very normal modern chinese drama. There is nothing exceptional that one would expect from dramas rated above 8.5 in here. I skipped through last 8 episode just for the sake of completing it.
On Love between Lines Jan 26, 2026
This is an unpopular opinion but it was only okay till ep 19-20. After that it became boring. There was no reason to drag the drama till 8 more episodes when the leads already got together. They could end it in 23 episodes including that separation and everything else. They do not have the chemistry that would make a viewer like me want to sit through 8 more episodes when they got together already.

Personally, I love this drama's take on marriage that a man would aim marriage, quick, if he truly loves you. The ML's brother took years to propose the 2nd FL and when when he did, he was too wishy-washy about it as if he were not even interested. Yet the 2nd ML does not take long to propose her because he is that sure about her. In the same way, Ho Jin is also planning on marraige, soon it seems as he is already thinking about marriage home for him and Mu Hee and he even admits that to his mother. He is also sure about spending the rest of his life with her. This traditional take on love is beautiful!

He actually despised her zombie side, and only love MuHee he would have freaked out hanging out with Zombie girl,…
Yes. There is a scene in which she transformed from being Mu Hee to Dal Mi and he is immediately creeped out while watching her from behind a pillar. Seductive zombie appeals to him because she boosts his ego.

Nice one, never thought of that Hiro only see her as Mu-Hee the celebrity. Her bright side attracted him, he never…
Exactly. It seems like even her demons behave when she is with Hojin. Because his love is the most profound and of selfless kind. During the entire drama, his intention with her is just her happiness and well-being, so much so that he will keep his love to himself and wish her a happy ending even if it tears him apart. This kindness and capacity to love, unconditionally makes him her safe place, her home. And people return to their homes at the end of the day, just like how she comes back to him everytime, especially at the end.
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 19, 2026
Hiro fell for the sunshine, glowing happy girl not knowing she is glowing because of the man speaking in her ears while sitting behind the screens. Hiro hated and was scared of her zombie side while Hojin loved her and loved every version of her. For anyone wondering why she does not end up with Hiro.
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 18, 2026
One thing the leads are doing excellently is their gaze of love. It's the way he looks at her at the end of ep 6 and then again at ep 9, the yearning and longing is so damn visible. They may be saying one thing but their eyes show how deeply they feel for each other! Loving this!
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 18, 2026
I am on ep 4 and I am so pissed at this Japanese guy! No matter how good he becomes later, it doesn’t excuse how he is just picking on her for no reason! So glad that the ML is there for her and gets offended on behalf of her! He is like a knight in shining armour for her, no wonder why she has feelings for him!

This was a good one. I did not have problems with it being slow because I like slow burns. This was going to be a solid 8 for me. BUT I was beginning to force myself to finish the last episodes. There I say it: No Modern Chinese Drama Should Have More Than 30 Episodes. Sometimes, more than 25 episodes can go wrong. All the excitement and tingles that I felt in the beginnjng and middle (in their falling in love phase) was gone by the end. If they had ended it in 28 or 30 episodes, it could be a much much better drama.

Btw, where do they stay after they rewrite their names in the marraige stone at the end? Since JB rejected crown prince title, does he live with MY in Jixing Abyss?
On Typhoon Family Dec 6, 2025
Basically the romance part and the acting from the cast, especially the leads, saved this pathetically written drama. So, it is quite ironic how the genre doesn't even mention romance. That was a poor attempt to humanize the antagonist by guving him sudden pinch of insecurity, something he seems to show only in the 2nd half of the drama lol. While the genre says business yet this seems to be a guide on how to fail in business 101. Such good acting talent wasted on a bad script.
On Love on the Turquoise Land Dec 6, 2025
I get the diminishing rating. Ms. Lin's death was so underwhelming and did not happen by the hands of any of the leads. The hunters are extremely weak and under-equipped compared to the fiends. Viewers usually expect a fierce battle between two powerful groups to the point that the outcome will be unpredictable. Here, from the beginning, it is obvious that the hunters are gonna suffer more loss than the fiends. Also, the whole drama is filled with emotionally-charged moments (deaths, sacrifices and loss). That is not a bad thing but it affected the thriller element of the drama. I am starting ep 30 and till now I am still asking, where is the thrill?!
