This is what I have been saying. It’s not his fault that the FL couldn’t get over him in 10 years! And they always only mentioned 10 years of her suffering but from ep 4 to ep 11, it was the ML who was mainly putting efforts. I loved the chemistry & they’re one of my favourite couples!

He is of course a well written character, i never complained about that. He just was too selfish, irresponsible and coward in the mortal arc. He had a good development in the later episodes tho.

Taking risk about your own life is one thing while risking another person's life whom you are supposedly in love with, is a whole another thing and is considered quite imprudent and selfish. Would have liked it better if the "falling in love" happened naturally (without him using initial trick) Then he wouldn't be the one to blame. In the end, i maintain that he did made me question "is he actually in love with her" during the entire mortal arc and that's what disappointed me. (Yeah, thanks for reminding about the spoiler tag)

Si Feng is a 3D character, i just pointed out one of his flaws. But he wouldn't have been selfish enough to approach her if he knew that she and her life would be in danger as a consequence. That's the reason, he tried to avoid her towards the end, stopped her when she wanted to consummate. He was not flawless but gave her importance over everything (even hus own feelings). Si Feng would have brought hell on earth if anybody tried to steal her eyes let alone taking them away himself. This conversation is baseless when Ye Hua's actions drove the FL to suicide (Su Jin was also responsible but if she had gotten the assurance from Ye Hua, su jin wouldn't stand a chance)

DiJun's flaws were pointed out by Bai Qian in later episodes. He did lead her on in the beginning.

Finally finished it. Even though i hated Ye Hua in the mortal arc, i slowly forgave him and even liked him in the later episodes. whole mortal arc was very problematic so i couldn't feel the love between leads but it picked it up in the later episodes. Their lil babyboy is the cutest thing ever. Hoped there is a scene between him and Bai Qian after she realized that it's her own son.

But what kept me hooked was Dijun and Feng Jiu. Their love was so so heart wrenching! I was more invested in their story & kept rooting for them throughout the drama. The chemistry is mind blowing & it makes you feel the pain they are going through! Considering watching Eternal Love Of Dreams for them.

Even i love flawed MLs (Dijun) but flawed MLs shouldn't force you to ponder "does he actually love her?" Unfortunately that's the question which roamed around my mind during the entire mortal arc. The biggest problem is he knew that the girl will be punished more (just like his 2nd uncle's wife). SuSu went through hell during her entire pregnancy. Also never heard somebody taking away their loved ones' eyes.

Lmao! You'll have problems with green flag guys since you find them pretentious! But Si Feng is no way a flawless character. Dude kept misunderstanding and lying to her FoR HeR oWN GoOd. He had many flaws but those flaws never made me question "does he even love her" same case with Dijun. That's where i draw the line

Yeah, heard about it and saw some clips. He actually seems fantastic there. But I don’t watch on going series. So, I am planning to watch it after it is completed.

I think I am more disappointed because I have the ideal picture of Si Feng from LAR (Love & Redemption) in my mind. It has been months and I am still not over LAR and people were saying this one can be comparable to LAR. (Even the ratings are similar) i should just accept that I am not finding a ML or love story like LAR haha!

Till now I am very annoyed with this one. Only interesting part is the story between Dijun and Red Fox. Loving their interactions. Hope the story between the leads get better.

So i am at epi 20 and I am here to rant. I have never seen a more irresponsible male lead in my life. Ye Hua knew what had happened to his 2nd uncle but still he went on to trap a lonely mortal woman in his love with the help of his uncle!? While he is engaged to somebody else (according to him) Without any arrangement for the future consequences of his actions, he married her and impregnated her. A irresponsible lover! And decided to discard the throne by a trick! An undeserving ruler! Now when she is found out by his hypocrite family, he is planning to make her drink the water of some oblivion so that she forgets everything!? Does nobody else find this to be a huge red flag!?

She was lonely but spending her days well in that forest with birds and small animals. He tricked her by acting to be hurt for his own selfish desires which he named “love” without thinking about any consequences!? Practically cheating on two women (as he doesn’t know she is also his fiancée) He is neither a great lover nor a great ruler. I feel so bad for SuSu! She deserves better!

Update: okay, so the drama picked it up towards the last episodes. They focused more on the love story. Finally, felt bad for JinMi when she left no stone unturned to revive Xu Feng. And Deng Lun was fantastic when Xu Feng cried to JinMi and begged her not to leave him in the last episode. I could finally feel the love between the leads. They had the sweetest ending!

I think I will become a fan of LYX after this. Outstanding acting from him. He really did overshadow the leads to a great extent. Also, his acting as the green snake was too perfect. This guy has a bright future!

Okay I am here to vent! This has to be one of the very few dramas where I don’t feel the “love” between the leads! It is that underwhelming! I only felt it during their mortal arc. I get it that her pill was restrengthened by Runyu. Still, there should be a bit longing from her side. After episode 40 I literally stopped caring about JinMi and her problems and am only rooting for Runyu and Xu Feng respectively. I didn’t even feel sad when she stabbed him or when she started crying after the realisation. Felt more bad when Runyu remembered his and Xu Feng’s bond and childhood.

It has been 48 episodes and this drama seems to focus on everything but the actual love story. Runyu’s character and story literally overshadowed the main love story. The satisfaction I felt when everyone accepts him as the Emperor and the evil Empress comes to know that he has become the new Emperor, is unmatchable. Brilliant acting from Lou Yunxi!

Where did you get subbed rest of the episodes?

Will we ever see deep real love from LSS’s side in the upcoming episodes? The novel readers please spoil it for me!

Agree. I don’t get the hype about love between fairy and devil. It very average. Love & Redemption is one of the bests. Haven’t come across any drama as good as that one yet.

Normal villains, who acknowledge that they are bad, are tolerable. But I hate these kind of villains, who show themselves as righteous and do all sorts of dishonest stuff 😑

I agree. In the first half, he didn’t really do anything for his clan. He was always out with Xuanji, solving outside problems. But at last, he got what he truly wanted for 10 lives.

It’s not about how good or bad the drama is! I want to know about the romance part. I watch dramas for the romance part. Other parts play the side characters for me.

I am hesitant to start this. Because i am always disappointed with high rated Chinese dramas. Can somebody tell me about the romance? Is the romance good? How much do they focus on it?

Sad ending/ open ending for now. But there is a season 2 in December.
