Wow, they're actually staying true to the manwha so far. If it keeps going like that, buckle up guys, you're going to be in for an interesting ride. This is definitely a true enemies to lovers romance.
Let me tell you, this was the only show were I was rooting for both the villain and hero. It also gave us a great villain. We watched him SPIRALED and I mean spiraled from the happy go lucky guy, to this crazed individual, all the while still feeling sorry for him. I was rooting for the villain because he really didn't deserve all that and I honestly wanted him to get a win and kick Li Xun down a notch. All my guy wanted was to be equal to Li Xun and earn his respect. This was basically a rivalry that went tragically wrong.
I was rooting for Li Xun because after every shit he's been through and even though he was PAINFULLY arrogant and high horsed, he backed up his arrogance. He bowed to no one. I was satisfied with the ending.
If this show had any other ML, I feel like I would've dropped this, CFY did his thing here. He owned Li Xun and he's only 22!!!! He carried this show on his prison buzz cut head. I had such a love hate relationship with this character. The guy single handedly drove one guy to insanity and a potential early grave, another one to alcoholism (he deserved it all though) and low key drove Zhu Yun to depression. Li Xun antagonized EVERYONE, but lawd, we somehow couldn't hate him.
The side characters were great too. My baby Ren Di (who was pretty much Li Xun's personal bank) and Xiao Liu (how dare you make my wife sad). All the characters on here were a pain in the ass (especially the guys), but still likeable people.
Then in the second half with the guys from the new company who also became Li Xun's new found family and that weirdo hacker. Loved them all. The leads also had great chemistry and it's a slow burn romance.
7/10 for the first half because it was really just long winded BS, but it did give us a great villain back story, but 10/10 from episode 23 till the end.
ISTG these EXILE TRIBE men look TOTALLY different when they're not in stage makeup. I was doubting myself the entire time saying that ML is not Taiki Sato.
Not gonna lie, the Scorpio in me was yelling at Ichi that he had a way out in episode 3, don't go over to her house!!!! But then that would've been frowned upon and I guess he would feel guilty....meh.
Omg, FUCK Ichi's Dad and the Dad's wanna be mistress. They were so infuriating. This would've been an epic love story if these two asshats had just communicated better. They talked more in their head than to each other. Then dragging poor Deno into their shit.
Anyways, I was pleasently surprised by how much I actually liked this drama. If you want to torture self with lots of angst and a frustrating ML and FL, then check this out.
This was like going down the rabbit hole of Jim Jones and Charles Mansion again. Very interesting watch. I'm a true crime junkie, but every new case I encounter still leaves me unsettled.
The JMS story pissed me all the way off while watching. He got 10 years for all the monstrous things he did. Came out and did it all over again. Someone should've taken him out then and there in prison.
Loved this drama so much!!!!!!! Took me about 7 episodes in and finally checking the casts page to realize that the familiar ML was Z. Tao and watching him pimp out his merch for YKYB in the series was hilarious. (I was wondering why the heck he was in so many hoodies and hats!!!😂😂😂) I loved the chemistry between the leads. It was naturally done and lots of kisses!!!! The story never faltered and it was FUNNY. They actually made the "lawyering" scenes quite interesting and fun. Supporting casts were great too and my second couple kept the show light on the side, when some scenes got too intense or sad.
Li ChongWen is probably the only second lead that I've wanted to passionately hug and then violently strangle at the same time. He was so frustrating sometimes.
Anyways, 33 episodes well spent. I would recommend this if you're in the mood for a sweet and fun rom-com. Z.Tao has that male lead charisma.
Also, she didn't time travel. I was browsing through some comments and some people seemed confused. Read the synopsis. She fell into a coma and dreamed about her past life and got to relive it for a month. That's it. That's all she did. That's why she couldn't change anything because it had already happened.
OMG! Episode two was CRAZY!!!!! They took "sugar daddy" to a whole other level!!!!. 😂😂If you liked Girl…
But by making her do it at six was dumb. Hell does she know about jealousy, sex and love at six?!! Would've made more sense if they'd at least made her a killer at 13.
Then it turned out she turned the son into a killer instead of her actually being a killer, which was a pretty solid revenge plot to be honest.
I love it. These two are so weird, their relationship is weird, Hira should be in a psych ward, but you can't help but love them and they make it work. Who am I to hate on Hira and his religion that is Kiyoi. I would love to see them tackle kids someday. Hira turning their daughter into a fan girl and Kiyoi saving their son from being a creep like his Dad.
I've pretty much come to understand that by Hira being so severely introverted and lacking confidence, you have to be straight forward with him and spell out everything for him. Kiyoi needs to do that more.
This drama is ridiculously depressing, but it was beautiful at the same time.
You end up getting so attached to all the characters. It was one struggle after the next with each of them. But watching them overcome them was heartwarming.
I'm so glad we got introduced to GeminiForth because those little guys stole the show for me. Heart and Ming....aw man, I enjoyed their story. You cannot help but smile when these two darlings are on screen.
I liked Mixx's character Wen. This guy fought and I mean STRUGGLED to build a relationship with Jim and to finally break down all the walls that Jim had up. Watching Wen having to hold himself back whenever Jim got shirtless was hilarious.
Didn't care much for Alan. But him and Gaipa finding each other was pretty much a given.
Gaipa's heartbreak..oh my word.
Leng being the comic relief but also trying to overcome his own issues too.
This was a great series and I enjoyed the friendship and pretty much their own little family that they build with each other in that diner.
My only issue was the editing. It was terrible. The transition between scenes was bad.
OMG! Episode two was CRAZY!!!!! They took "sugar daddy" to a whole other level!!!!. 😂😂
If you liked Girl from Nowhere and missed Nano, get ready for Sara. Show was crazy with a WTF plot twist that you kind of saw coming by the ending of episode 6.

But yea, fuck his mom and that house.

About time they start normalizing therapy and asking for help in these shows instead of having the characters bottling up all that trauma.

The brother was dumb.
