Title First Sword of Wudang Spoiler
The ML's dad isn't very street smart, is he? A string of poor choices leading to the tragedy... yikes!
Sigh, wish female characters would be better written. Guess older novels are somewhat misogynistic in this aspects of their characterizations...

Yes, therapy and "marriage counselling" on how not to treat his other half (who should join said sessions too).
So much baggage!

I totally feel you. The ML is quite a brat currently so hopefully the character grows up soon in the next few episodes. Thanks for the heads up, sis :)

Agreed, this is the typical setup. The parents are si beh suay while the hero is always si beh heng.
:D

Just started and I'm loving this. Brings back the old school vibes of older wuxia productions :)Initial thoughts…

If you come across anything interesting, let me know. I'll volunteer to be lured into its evil clutches with you :D

Oh, that's right - the J-drama about the chef. How was it? I'll wait for your posting about it!

You're still watching NiF? It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts about it too.

Ooopss, sorry about that. I didn't realize you're behind on Navillera. I'm actually glad I didn't continue after the 1st episode - I can't deal with that kind of melodrama / slice-of-life. I was interested mainly because of the ballet.

How do I do it? I usually play catch up over the weekend but it's best to keep up with the 2 episodes per week. I'm fortunate in that the dramas I was watching had different end dates (consecutive weeks). As it stands, I only have Mouse, Taxi Driver and Law School (but of course there are 2 more coming up this week lol). Interestingly I got caught up with an older C-drama last week - binged that in about 4 days so that delayed my currently airing shows for a bit.

Yes, it's true. We're loyal to the declining state of Goguryeo while everyone defected to Silla :D
We must watch a drama together again soon and share our nitpicky notes!

The random ambush is farcical indeed. It's all so incredibly surreal...

Ah, you've completed The Crowned Clown as well. I heard that Navillera has become very sad because of a certain "diagnosis".

There's plenty of sageuk coming up, as I've shared in the History Drama Club, so I'll prepare for those. I'm currently in a few C-historicals, as well as the K-dramas.

I'm going to miss watching the same show with you. We've had very interesting discussions over the past few weeks and seemed to be the only ones posting screenshots on feeds :)

I totally empathize. Although I'm not too well versed on the actual history, purely from a logical view point I feel that what transpired was unbelievably stupid. It was farcical in an almost slapstick manner. Anyway, analyzing any more of this would just aggravate my bp lol.
What's next on your watch list? :)

Great write-up :)
Our views are quite consistent with regards the key aspects. You forgot to mention about the monks (though I wasn't really converted to the "beliefs" that Wol Gwang tried to sell at the end).

Btw, I didn't realise Éowyn was your girl - thought it's supposed to be Galadriel :D (I'm more into Arwen).

You managed to keep quite a positive outlook on this drama. I, of course, agree with all of this. :)

Thanks friend. Now I’m down a YT rabbit hole following that company down a lesbian trail. I found 2 other dramas…
Haha, creative marketing. I enjoyed the one on acne treatment, also from this production company. Very impressive acting as well.

Such a prolific company too, their productions are great! Such experts in kissing scenes :D

Undoubtedly one of the best feature writers in MDL and whose articles I've first encountered upon joining this community. It's been a wonderful experience reading this series and I'm sure you'll take all of us, your adoring fans, on another journey with a brand new series :)

I haven't watched this (except the 1st episode) and I do agree about the OTT, baiting and the general vibe of it being sensationalized lol.

Thanks for the lovely review :)
