Mmm why would u say so.. if u really lik a bl rom com.. then this should be at the top.. but if u don't like this…
Opinions on this drama are not a binary. That's a false narrative perpetuated to de-legitimize viewpoints you don't like. There are more choices than "You either like BL's Rom Coms and therefore like this" or "You don't like the genre".
There are all sorts of other options. Like "I love BL rom coms but this one sucks balls" or "Bl Rom Coms are great, however I still like coherent writing. Which this mess lacks". There are ALL sorts of views. My personal favorite "Bl Romantic comedies require two things missing from Cutie Pie. Romance and Comedy"
You noticed the dummy account reviews too. Ha! It's not like they were subtle about it. That's some desperation…
--"I just found it funny, especially since some people were complaining how we are unreasonably bombarding the drama with low-score reviews 🤣"--
I've said since episode two that the stans for this show don't understand irony.
The reviews don't accomplish anything. You put them up there to share your opinion. There is no competition for whether there are more positive or negative reviews. And the review sitting on the main page under the "most popular" heading isn't even the most popular review by "thumbs up for helpfulness". There's a couple of 1 and 2 star reviews further back that have over 70 likes. So the algorithm for which reviews show up front is either malfunctioning or it's being gamed because those negative reviews further back are the most popular ones by a large margin.
But in the end, I'm just getting a chuckle out of all the try-hards who seem to think the reviews will convince people the show has any merit.
I think there are some people out there who are legit very sweet and who are ill prepared for being targeted.…
I think when family is shown in plots to "go the extra mile of making decisions about/for a character without their input" it's usually a reflection on the shortcomings of the family, not on the character that is being protected this way.
Mick is doing a really good job acting the role. But the initial legal planning and the other kinds of traps set to gather evidence and catch involved parties should have involved Lukchub. The fact that it didn't wasn't due to Lukchub's shortcomings, but rather was a bad choice the people closest to him were making. Indeed even the botched social media stuff (which is annoying as hell) should have involved his input and Jirichin's heavy-handed habit of handling Lukchub's choices for him is a shortcoming of his character. Same thing with Ram and company. It's not Lukchub's fault they're being idiots and doing things behind his back.
When I see a character being shielded in this manner I don't fault the character being shielded, because they never asked to be protected in this arrogant way and patently manipulative way. I always see it as a failing on the part of the people going behind the character's back.
felt like a chore to the point i skipped everything except the nuersyn couple
Sometimes I look back and wish I'd done the same thing. But I wanted the meat and potatoes to write a full review. And I'm still chunking away at it. But it feels like all I really need to put in my review was how damn hard it was to slog through this mess.
Agreed. It was boring as hell. Which I still say is an absolute marvel. I still don't know how they managed to mix toxic, creepy and Boring into one BL.
but why is the top review a 9/10 when this show is a 3 at most
People created a bunch of dummy accounts and left a bunch of new reviews but also voted up the positive reviews because up until then the main top most popular reviews were all negatives that scored it right around 3. LOL. Try-hards.
You don't have to worry about the bad review scores anymore, Cutie Pie fans!!Just in last 24 hours, we've got…
You noticed the dummy account reviews too. Ha! It's not like they were subtle about it. That's some desperation there. When honestly, no matter what a person writes about the show, anyone who watches it will make the decision for themselves.
Wow... Ji Woo is the very definition of disaster queer until he suddenly gets his shit together.
Alright. I finished this and it was not as good as I hoped but not as bad as I heard. I was prepared to give it a solid 8, up until the last episode. What the fuck where they thinking?! That was the lamest way to close this drama. I was legit rolling my eyes. It ruined the rhythm of story happening and was a half assed, poorly realized, very unsupported direction to suddenly take things at the very end of the tale.
I still like the pairing. The actors were adorable. But man, the story needed work. And it definitely needed a different handling of the ending.
The MDL star rating system is useless as a metric of quality in my opinion. We don't know how the rating is calculated…
Dude that's kind of how I roll with the reviews. I ignore them when choosing a drama. I follow actors and genre themes, and ignore ratings. Cutie Pie is one of only 2 dramas I ever gave really low ratings to. When I give a drama a 10, like I did with 2 Moons, it's not because it's perfect but because it was really good AND it resonated with me emotionally, for one reason or another, and became a "love" of mine. I tend not to give less than a 5 or 6 to most dramas I simply didn't care for. But rarely I find one so egregious that it deserves a lower rating. And Cutie Pie just hit all those low points for me.
On the other hand, Triage is doing everything right. I have adored each and every episode and giving this one a 10 is going to be so, so easy. Because not only is it well made, it's hitting my sweet spot emotionally.
This why I was weary about new people on MDL watching or coming here. We are going to get users that just like…
hahaha! Don't appease him. Just kick him. He's weird like that. So far he likes it.
Oh. And I just made it to episode 3 of Love Class. Apparently in lieu of having Cutie Pie to hate upon, I had to find something else. This thing makes so little sense. Why is it named Love Class when it's apparently about a stalker?

Much of the rest of the cast seems chosen already. But the only Lead that has been concretely cast is Bas. The role of Arm and two other characters (one male, one female) still need locked down.
Looks like the estimated release is Sept 2023. Which means they should start the final casting soon to get that out of the way before production starts.
THere's a fund raising page and it looks like it will be updated May 31st. I can't wait!
International fans can always watch it on Ais Play, at any time. But not subtitled in languages other than Thai.…
yeah, they make no money on the livestream version that is available for 2 hours. And they can't show it that way on the AIS play streaming platform. So it's literally a gift to the international fans.
Hopefully at some point they'll iron out the licensing and be able to post it on their platform with the international subs.
This why I was weary about new people on MDL watching or coming here. We are going to get users that just like…
Yeah, that sounds about right. So I regularly tell people do NOT worry about what the rating is on a drama. It's not an honest reflection of the drama's merits or lack thereof. That system is too easy to game.
That's Fair. I had never seen a cat boy story before this one and was only warned that apparently the genre is…
I am going to finish it. If only because there are just 2 eps left and when it's done I'll have the whole picture in which to leave a complete review of this mess.
Watch group is wise. Always listen to watch group. Pfft. I curate a watch group that I run in order to keep people…
Meow Ears Up is...a thing. It's not interesting. It's uncomfortable. It could be cute and fluffy, brainless BL if not for the fact that the cat boi seems very naive and innocent in a childish way and I am informed this is a predominant feature of the cat boi genre. It's almost done airing and I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. I think it only works even a little because the universe in which it takes place is a very silly, very ridiculous version of reality. It's not something I will ever watch again.

I'm assuming by ancestral beast you mean Suibian. But he's harmless. The most dangerous thing about him is that he gets bored once in a while.
