Oh goodie! We've gotten to the part of the week where someone makes the idiotic claim that if you don't like their show you obviously don't get it.

Lemme set you at ease. Many of us have not liked the show. And we all get it. We also know exactly why we feel the way we do. Just because we don't like the premise doesn't mean we don't understand it. Understanding something does not equal liking it. Fuck that old argument.

Toxic is toxic. Cultural differences don't matter because it's situation of human psychology, not culture.

And I don't care how you were raised. Honestly, if you want to bend over backwards to make excuses for the toxicity in the drama, go for it. I'll warn you though, that's not a commendation of the way in which you were raised. All that says is that you are very ill prepared to recognize unhealthy relationship dynamics if your fan bias is involved.

On the other hand, since we're sharing about the way we were raised, I'm so glad I was raised to spot unhealthy relationship dynamics without a couple of cute men making me blind to toxic elements in a situation.

But please do carry on trying to make yourself feel superior by bragging about your culturally open-mindedness and shit.

This was a surprisingly rewarding watch.

I did not like it until about episode 5 but then I suddenly had feelz for it. Episode 1 gave me no one to identify with. Episode 2 I could like the characters a little but their story was boring as fuck. And it remained dull until some point in episode 5 when I found myself starting to get into things. Right around episode 6 I was hooked.

So this one takes a while to gain traction, but when it does it's emotional and funny and a little intense and very heartwarming.

The very fact that Cutie Pie and this show are even mentioned in the same breath makes me wary to watch it 😂
Neither are any good. In this case because of a shared focus on infantilism. You should be wary for a reason. LOL.

No, the drama was cut short because it's really, really bad.It wasn't because of Karma, that's not how Karma even…
Depends on if you're a Buddhist or not. Some people feel it's very real.

btw I have just discovered Tee and he's such a snack tbh. Nvm the whole cast is such a treat to the eyes!
I loved the Teddy Bear drama and this one as well. The two best series of the season and Tee has done a great job in both.

I went into this expecting light and silly, but fun.

The fun was missing. This thing was on crack. I legit felt myself losing IQ points just watching this. The comedic scenes are often awkward, to the point where I wanted to take the Director and shake them. And the screen writer--who should never be given another project to write, ever. There were points in the plot that skipped in such a way that I could tell the editor was asleep at the wheel too.

The overexposed lighting and soft colors gives this whole thing the feeling of being some carb-coma dream. Not a good look. And the awful thing is, the very rare dramatic moments were the only watchable parts and were enough to show that in the right hands this might have been a nice little drama. The rest was batshit crazy and just plain stupid. The infantile attempts at "cute" looked like they were geared for a children's educational program, not a romance. I cringed my way through every one of those moments.

Kim's character, Guy, was at least likable, if kind of ridiculous. Copter's character, Jing, was the biggest spoiled brat I've ever seen in a BL and there was no way to connect with this selfish character. Kim and Cop were wasted on this. And so were some of the other actor. So what have we learned from this? No matter how good your talent is, if the writer/director team suck then the drama can't be saved.

Also, people need to stop giving Kokliang acting jobs. Please.

Lol I totally get why they reduced it to 6 eps, the scenes are not even funny, the acting is awkward. I really…
I think the scenes are awkward because the writing is so bad. I don't know what they're doing with this one either, other than wasting peoples' time. Because this project was ridiculously bad and way beneath the skills of most of the actors involved.

One of the actors in this show is HIGHLY problematic. The drama being shortened is karma for the way he treated…
No, the drama was cut short because it's really, really bad.

It wasn't because of Karma, that's not how Karma even works. The idea that Karma is some kind of negative/positive vindication system that draws to you reciprocal consequence in reaction to your deeds is very inaccurate. A decidedly pop culture misapprehension. Karma is the sum of your good and bad during a lifetime, the tally of which is reflected in the hierarchy of your next incarnation.

The actor might not even actually be "problematical" in the first place.

I love KimCop, but damn, this is so bad. I think the director tried to re-do YYY, but forgot the funny part and…
I love both Copter and Kim as well. But this was awful. The screenwriter for this needs driven out of town. It was written so bad.

The premise isn't the problem, silly as it is. It's entirely the execution. The director needs his ass kicked too, and I have no idea what the editing team was smoking.

He can choose what day to wake up on, yes. It takes a while for him to grock this. It happens sometime after Jinta…
Maybe I'm wrong. Now you have me wondering.

But to me he didn't seem to be rushing to get home in order to wake up there. He was struggling to stay awake and that just happens to be where he lost the battle against sleep and nature took its course.

I may have to go rewatch that episode to see if I missed something.

It is one of the best. The plot layering has really been impressive. The way they peel secrets back on layer at a time without ruining the suspense or revealing too much... Just wow.

No problem! The plot is layered and early on it moves in such sudden ways that it was easy to miss things. I bet when I go to rewatch this whole series that I missed a lot.

"When Tin gets an idea he doesn't let it go until someone dies."55555! SO TRUE, but also very hilarious 🤣 I…
He's certainly having trouble prioritizing Dr Sak. This is possibly due to the mono-focus he has on saving Tol. And this is because Jinta put him on the "You must save this boy" mission. His focus is on saving Tol without other side effects because he still sees everything around him as either disconnected from Tol or as a side effect of Tin's own choices. So he's not realized the root of the problem with everyone is Dr Evil.
