Nope! Management drama at hand! Wabi Sabi has just announced the closing of their talent management division and the termination of all artist contracts following the completion of current projects.
They are dialing back to only be a production company.
As soon as the Fourever You contract is complete, the entire cast is cut loose from Wabi Sabi.
Boun, Prem, Sammy and Santa have already been cut loose and have signed with GMMTV. Yacht is cut loose already as well and is currently freelance.
This one gets kinda ruined for me because I'm a professional artist and the college art class situations are ridiculous. So I had trouble becoming immersed in the story. The entirely overused "indebted slave to lover" trope isn't giving us anything fun or new to build on it and that didn't help either.
Plus the support pairings are kind of meh for me. Though that may improve as the story unfolds.
At this point all that's keeping me watching is Pond/Phuwin. I've enjoyed them in the past. And I'm usually here for Pepper roles. Otherwise, I probably would have dropped this one already.

I like when actors can be good friends. I agree it ads to the screen chemistry. Which is the most important thing.
Though I am paying lots of attention to BTS because this is Bas' first role beyond the reach of Starhunter Entertainment's (mediocre) management. So I am most concerned that he enjoys the experience and feels able to give his best.
I'm here for Bas, as you know. I am bored with Engineer roles too. But I'd watch Bas portray a blank wall if I…
I'm not hopeful. That being said, Bas and Dun stay in touch and still support each other. I don't think it entirely outside the realm of possibility that one day we'll see them acting together again. But probably not in My Lucky Cat. Which is a shame, because I read the book and really liked it.
In the mean time, Bas is going to knock the role of North right out the park! And I'll be interested to see Bas and Maggie's screen chemistry.
I'm here for Bas, everything else be damned!Even if the ratio of doctors+engineers to other groups is a multi-digit…
I keep trying to imagine Bas playing an engineer student, given that stereo-typically they can be aggressive to a fault. But Bas has played a variety of characters. He'll find a way to make North charming.
As an aside, if you've been following: Maxky and Bas discussed with an interviewer that they decided to pace the evolution of their CP by becoming genuine friends first. In order to make their on screen chemistry seem most honest and real.
I don't think it's going to be a long term cp, since Pond is already paired with other actors in future projects…
I have not read the books that inspired the Drama, but Cooheart's character seems spritely, but sassy. He was definitely giving Bas' North a bit of sass in the teaser. So hopefully he has some substance.

SH doesn't have to release it back to the author, they have the rights to it, even tho they scuttled the project by wasting the budget for it on building their new big corporate center. But due to a peculiarity of Thai tv culture, even tho they have the legal right to recast and produce a later version of it; without the permission of the writer, no one will agree to air it unless the original author green lights it. And the author wrote it for Dun and Bas. She never intended for anyone else to star in it. She is NOT going to okay SH to film it without them.
trying to wrap my head around the idea of Pond and Earth being paired together, not computing...
I don't think it's going to be a long term cp, since Pond is already paired with other actors in future projects after this one. But I'm willing to give them a chance? It did seem like an odd choice to pair Pond and Cooheart.
I saw a quote from Cooheart a while back that said he and Santa would always be friends but that their careers were just going in different directions but that Santa always had his support. So I took that to mean their CP was over.

I have heard a few inside tidbits that indicate the author was fighting with Starhunter on the down-low, to reclaim the rights to My Lucky Cat. In order to get it produced independently. But Bas' camp hasn't indicated anything firm. So it may just be rumor.

On another note, the Saint movie that Bas and Dun played support characters in, is on Netflix Thailand. So if you can get a VPN connection past Netflix's detection software, you might be able to watch Death Is All Around.
Yeah, I eventually learned that though I love Inn, a lot of his fan base that I was running into were scary as hell. So I adore him from a long, long distance.
Kimmon just looked tired. But given his character's weird issues, I'll lay that aside for now. It might have been the most earnest thing about this drama.
Khonprot has potential. And Kut is certainly cute in a vaguely Kad Ploysupa sorta way. Khonprot's mother could be of interest. But so far the secret pining shtick is coming off stale.
As for the girls, their parts make no sense. Just...the breast thing was just so damn RANDOM.
Khonprot's buddies are meant to bring levity but their acting is so bad, it kills what might have otherwise been much needed humor to liven things up.
As it is, absolutely nothing felt alive. This plot was all over the place. Messy and yet, at the same time it felt entirely numb. Admittedly, some of the numb came from Newby actors who weren't ready for the screen. But the entire thing was just generally lackluster and silly.
That being said, I guess the small scene where Pluem and Khonprot meet for the first time showed a tiny glimpse of potential chemistry between Kimmon and Kut. Not that it was enough to make this first episode worth watching. But it still was better than the idiotic mess "That's My Candy" was.
Let's hope everyone settles into their roles soon, at least. Then perhaps amid the boring, flat, random story, we'll at least be able to like Kim/Kut.

I thought that was a really cool idea.

Secret's out on the cast now, at any rate. Max is a bit older than I was expecting, but I anticipate he'll be great opposite Bas!
