In the same action that transferred a lot of Wabi Sabi's talent to GMMTV, Wabi Sabi also became a subsidiary of GMMTV. They got bought out. So the same crap dtamas that GMMTV produces are now what Wabi Sabi will be making too. Which is REALLY unfortunate!

They have zero chemistry! And neither Pond nor Earth are putting their all into the roles. This comes down to Direction. If you're the Director and your actors aren't feeling it, then you suss out the problem and fix it. But then again, New Siwaj himself is usually the problem.

In a group interview, Bas and Cooheart discussed that Johan/North's story starts during episode 5/6.

Actually, it does have ties to GMMTV. Wabi Sabi is behind scenes now contracted by GMMTV. The Director and production crew working on Fourever You are from GMMTV as well. And if you check out Wabi Sabi's X account, they mostly mirror promote GMMTV productions.

It's partially the makeup for the show. I have noticed that everyone's make-up is badly done. But that being said, Cooheart is also older now. He's started to look more his actual age. They need to start casting him in roles closer to his real age.

No, this first season they're only meant to focus on North and Easter

I... wanna like this series. I desperately wanna like it. But we're 3 eps in and North is the only interesting thing happening. Bas' is also the only compelling performance, so far. Bas plays North like a weird, wise little elf stuck filling the role of Easter's emotional support animal.

And I like Cooheart's acting usually, but Easter is a doormat and Cooheart is playing him far too whiney and indecisive. It's grating on my nerves. While there are actors like Mew (and even Bas), who I feel deep emotions when they give performances where they cry, Cooheart's stage crying just never connects for me. I could not say why. But I admit I actually had to fast-forward through the few seconds of him panic!weeping in the flashback.

Then we have Pond, who plays Hill like a newborn homunculus, not quite practiced enough at "people-ing". I keep waiting for the weirdo "otherness" vibe to bear dark fruit, even though I know that's not part of this plot. All in all, between the earlier stalkerish behavior and now the whole vacant, uncanny valley performance, Hill is giving me less romance feels and more living doll creepiness. Me no like.

The plot with Mild and her crush on Hill was suitably uncomfortable, if unoriginal. I'm waiting on that to pan out and hoping she doesn't get involved in sabotaging Hill and Easter. Just once it would be nice for the girl to go "okay, my crush likes boys. It's time for me to move on", instead of plotting how to nab the gay hottie.

And... Have we had a scene with Johan yet where his so called friends didn't treat him like he was the skeleton in everyone's closet? I honestly don't get the feeling that any of the doctor gang actually like each other.

Lastly, Sammy, my sweet Sammy. I know you can act, honey. I do not know what you were doing this ep, but it wasn't acting.

The show's source material is better than this. I feel like Fourever You is suffering from a terminal case of New Siwaj disease.

All this said, I'm sticking with it because I'm legit loving North. But wow. I really need the rest of the drama to improve. Because I am genuinely trying to like this project.

If you check the alternate name for this season, it's Fourever You Part One. Meaning there will be a season 2.

During interviews, the cast has also explained that there will be a season 2, as well as letting us know that Season One focuses on Hill/Easter and Johan/North. The other two pairings get focus in Season 2.

I figure North and Johan will get focus in a couple of episodes.

I'm not thrilled with the main pairing because Hill is doing that toxic bl thing where he low-key stalks Easter. And Easter is a wet noodle about it.

But Bas' character is bringing me back! I love North!

Bas' character is the most interesting one in the drama, His scenes really stand out. Though Easter is also cute and a perfect foil to North's peculiarity.

Still not a fan of the fact that Hill is low key stalking Easter. But over all, the drama seems entertaining. I hope it picks up pace soon.

Okay, episode 2 was more fun. Getting more of Easter's background was definitely good. Seeing a bit more of the Doctors' dynamic also also helped.

Bas' character remains the best part of the drama, so far. Bas' portrayal of North makes him seem somewhat neurospicy and it's bringing life to what might otherwise be a slow beginning plot. North is kind of like those rando kid characters that represent Krishna in some 90's Bollywood films. Kinda of a charming mix of daft and wise. Certainly Bas' character acting was really fun in this!

The not so fun characters? Oat and Bever's characters are both coming across as odd, and not in a fun way. In all honesty, Oat's character feels like a shape-shifting alien pretending to be a college student. He just stands there, owlishly blinking, and grinning eerily. On the other hand, Bever's playing his character like he escaped a tense PTA meeting after getting stuck in scoff mode.

I like Ngern's character, Arthit. But c'mon Wabi Sabi. Can we get passed the darker skinned, tattooed guy being the wild, hooligan sort? It's not a wholesome stereotype. That being said, Ngern is definitely hot.

Also got more verification that Johan is not a nice guy. The other members of the doctor gang seem ok with this. I am not sure that bodes well. Poor future North has got his work cut out for him.

But the actual problem child of the plot was Hill. Who is not great with agency. Not my fav so far. I tend to automatically dislike characters who bully their way into someone's presence and Hill does that to Easter too many times. Pond's acting is pretty good so far, but his character has a thing for being obsessive and pushy.

I think this drama is going to be more interesting, in the long run, than the last few dramas directed by New. I'm genuinely looking forward to all the North scenes. Cooheart's character is winning me over. And Easter's friendship with North is THE most adorable thing, ever! For all that Hill is kinda creepy, the final temple scenes had some cute moments, thanks to Easter. Now if the plot will only start moving...

I agree entirely on ABOB. But then I really think part of the problem is that Book can't act.

But LBC was only meh for me.

I will say that pulling out of We Are was wise. I was watching it as part of a group and it was SO fucking boring and Toey was SUCH a stupid and toxic character that it started a schism in our watch group because I started hate watching it. 🤣🤣🤣You didn't miss anything. As a final vehicle for Pond/Phuwin, it was a complete let down.

They did tell us it was going to happen over the course of 2 seasons. It was announced during interviews, several times. Also, if you check the alternate titles for this show, one of them lists this season as "Fourever You Part One". This means they intend to make a Part Two.

As for the story itself, the book series spans 4 books, not 2. Only the 2 books that cover Easter and North's romances will be covered during season 1. Season 2 will cover the other 2 books in the series, which include the stories of Typhoon and Daotok. As I said before.

It was also Directed by the same Director.

Easter and North are the focus of season 1. Season two will see the focus on Typhoon and Daotok. So not all 4 relationships get attention this year.

And yeah, North is killing me. 🤣

It's not groundbreaking, but then I didn't expect it to be with New directing it. He's directed many of GMMTV's most stereotypical "college bl's", ever. Including the utter waste of time, We Are.

While the first episode of all college bl's is spent as a roll call, this one at least didn't seem to have any deeply annoying characters.

It certainly left me willing to see where the story was headed.

Filming has concluded and it was cute and emotional afterwards. I hope the drama turns out well. And since the story is slit, we'll get a second season with our actors!
