The first installment; SIMM, had some problems, but honestly this one was worse. It was just plain dull. In fact, the most charming parts of this drama were the scenes set in Bangkok with Kluen/Nuea.
I was expecting more from this one and got a whole lotta awkward 'meh'. It wasn't horrible. But it definitely wasn't good either. And most of it came down to the utter lack of chemistry between Mek/Mark.
I finally ended up fast forwarding toward the end, skimming for the plot points out of sheer frustration with how utterly uninteresting Prince was.
the fact that this easily tops most of 'best airing bls right now' π
It's a matter of opinion. KP didn't thrill me.
The rape was presented by the creators as erotic in context, which means they were filming it for the fans that find that sort of thing sexy instead of portraying an attack. And the apology was not framed as Kinn apologizing for raping Porsche but for "crossing a line" he hadn't crossed with other guards. That context suggests he's apologizing for having sex with him, but doesn't address the non-consensual nature of it. So no, I don't care for KinnPorsche in the least.
Plus, Barcode won't even be 18 until well after this airs and I don't watch adult 18+ dramas that hire actors under 18 for roles in relationships.
But I did like Apo, Mile and Tong, Build and Barcode a lot. So if they all end up in something else, I'll be sure to be watching.
For me, Triage tops it because it handles the topics with correct tone and context and still delivers on the story, the acting and the production values.
Omg, this show is officially in the piece of crap column. Why do the screenwriters still get jobs? They are awful…
This is the screenwriter for Cutie Pie. And yes, they need to stop getting work. The base story premise was cute and a better screen writer could have done some fun things with it. But this hack ruined a cute show.
This would have been so much better had they let Lukchub advocate for himself. He finally wanted to stand up and…
I noticed too that his brother especially often shuts him down. It's not cool. I get that Lukchub has been through a lot and that Jirichin is trying to protect him, but part of healing is self empowerment. And his grandmother seems the only person interested in Lukchub growing as a person.
Ram is following in Jirichin's footsteps, no doubt picking up cues on how to "handle" Lukchub, and I don't like it one bit. Jirichin remains a really toxic character.

It tops all the rest right now. The only thing with better filming quality right now is KinnPorsche and I'm not down with all the rape. This has the production values but also has a better story.
What other genre would you like to see in a BL??For me I would love to see a horror BL
Horror! yes! We need a BL horror piece that isn't comedy.
Or at least some strong supernatural suspense. Like, Cheo Yong, only with gay boi's. A crime procedural with supernatural elements where one of the gay boi's can see ghosts or is psychic or something.
I came out of SIYH just plain not giving a fuck. Lol.

And I agree. Best BL of 2022.
The cast was so sweet. This could have been amazing.

But it IS cute to see them relating as themselves and not their characters.
