Well while gay marriage isn't legal in Thailand the gay couples still perform marriage ceremonies. A police won't…
the arranged marriage component made no sense in terms of Thailand's current culture. But it also occurred so young in the lives of the main characters that grooming was definitely a strong theme in the framework of their relationship. So it was kind of nasty.
People created a bunch of dummy accounts and left a bunch of new reviews but also voted up the positive reviews…
Hard to say. Generally speaking, things drop right after the end of a show as more people give final rating and as the ending itself influences peoples' overall opinion on a drama. So it might drop a bit more.
Bro i seriously dont know what's wrong with these reviews. This series is actually pretty good ,the directing…
You're right. This drama has a big problem with plot. Gamoosa is flagging with that "People didn't get it! OMG!" shtick. But we got it. It had absolutely zero substance packed in with random toxicity that had no real point and was made to seem cute, and was padded out with sex. And in the end much of what happened was broken and inconsistent.
I love cute dramas with heavy fanservice if they have at least something of a consistent plot. Even if it's super light and fluffy. This drama not only wasn't fluffy, it was poorly written.
The issue about 2gether was not that lots of people hated it. It was that lots of people felt it just wasn't all that. I felt 2gether was kind of middle of the road. I liked it well enough. It was Much better than this but ultimately not a breathtaking quality story. Bright gets kudos from me for that role not because it felt like he emoted well, but because Sarawat as a character was written that way and Bright's representation felt like book Sarawat, only without the sexual sadism. So the awful, nasty parts of Sarawat trimmed away look a lot like how Bright played the role. LOL. I am not defending the role itself.
Ultimately, the idea that we don't like the drama because we don't get the drama is an old and very arrogant argument. "But listen, if you only understood this (fill in the blank) you'd agree how good it is." I've heard every version of it over the years. But the fact remains that many of us have dissected Cutie Pie at length, (myself included) and have pointed out the glaring holes where good writing should be.
The most SJW virtue-signaling woke BL yet. Too superficial and illogical/immature character writing. Focuses too…
I want some gay topical plot. I always hope for it. But what happened in Cutie Pie wasn't part of the plot. It was trophy displaying. The gay topics were tagged in there like taxidermied deer heads mounted on plaques for decor.
Basically they had all the sincerity of topics being checked off a list. "Talked about gay marriage. Check. Talked about being judged for being gay. Check. Now we can go fuck." It had no actual bearing on the plot.
There's so many mixed reviews that i keep getting confused if i should watch it or not. Someone who's watched…
I personally think it's a waste of time.
However, I also think you should decide that for yourself, armed with TheFirstMichael's breakdown. Ultimately he covered all the bases for you.
The show looks great. The music gets the job done. The actors are nice eye candy. I disagree about the relative merits of the NC scenes, but that's normal. On the problems of the show, he has it down. All the ugly.
The question for you to answer on whether to watch or not will depend on what brings you to a show. What do you need?
I need plot. I need coherent story, no matter if it's deep or lightweight. This had no coherent plot. It's writing was abysmal. So that killed it for me. If this is not a problem for you, then jump right in. No one will judge you.
Keep in mind Michael's warning about unhealthy relationship dynamics represented as cute and romantic. That is an understatement.
Don't put much logic into this part of the story. They apparently live in a fictional Thailand where same-sex…
Asking is great! Someone will always have what you need. Thailand is getting there. Gay media content is helping. And so are BL's to some degree. Because they both help normalize it.
But the largest influence has been simply Thailand's strong finger on the pulse of world trends.

Don't listen to Wikipedia on stuff. But in this case they are correct. Gay marriage in Thailand is not legal. It has come up before their legislative body regularly and was just almost passed again. Like with our eventual passage of marriage equality, each time the issue has been put forth it has had more acceptance. So, many people in Thailand think it's sure to pass in the next few years. Though it won't be the next country in the Asian sphere to do so. Japan is most likely going to be the next country to pass marriage equality.
I'm typing from Bangkok City right now (◕‿◕)♡After almost three years -- fvxku corona -- I'm finally able…
Aw! I am SO glad you met your friend finally and that you got to take this crazy/boring BL journey with us! You rock out loud! Good luck to you and I can't wait to bump into you on other MDL pages.
This show suffered from the weakest writing I've ever seen in a BL. So yeah, all the decisions were empty or made…
Love Area had the story. It just didn't have good pacing. And I've never seen TCC, so I can't say there. But I will take your word for it. I've seen a lot of BL's and this one is the most poorly written. I just finished Love Class, and even it was better written than this, as many problems as it had.
Much of the rest of the cast seems chosen already. But the only Lead that has been concretely cast is Bas. The…
Luke has the whole hot upper class playboy look that the role of Arm calls for. But I'm not sure he's interested in acting in a BL main lead role. And I'm not sure his schedule will be open for this.

If Gamoosa likes CP, cool. But I didn't.

But if that's how you need to rate it, I understand.
