Came here to say the same. I thought it was cute, but it’s so slow. I’ll probably still watch because I have…
The screenwriter is the same train wreck who brought us Cutie Pie. So this is actually an improvement for them. By a long shot. But yes, this director is known for his pacing issues.
I'm not sure if you're already started watching this or not. It's the same director as Gen Y, but it's a professional…
The writing has nothing to do with the long camera shots. If the filming style was what you disliked about Gen Y then you might not like La Cuisine either. It has a similar visual style and feel. I was discussing with someone the other day that they feel like they could be in the same universe.
I watched it in spite of the writing team, not because of them. Because honestly the writing for Cutie Pie is crap. But, this show, a few pacing issues aside, seems much better plotted than Cutie Pie.
Those pacing issues in the writing are worst in episodes 5 and 6. But I don't think it's a terminal problem. More of a rhythm shift in the plot before it picks up.
So, I’ve tried watching this series several times but can never get through the first episode. For me, it’s…
I found it slow until the last 25%. Then it was infuriating. I initially stood around and MST3K'd the setup scenes because they were so dull.
I'm not saying watch ep 1 all the way through. Because I have to be real, there are boring as hell spots in each ep. Plus I would never advise anyone watch this mess. But, that being said, if you make it to the end of episode 1 you might find enough going on to keep your interest.
Hey peeps. A friend and fellow lover of La Cuisine and I have been debating things. And I presume this was adapted from a book. If so, can someone verify if Phai and Lukchub are college Freshmen? Or are they older than that?
We know Ram and Co. are 3rd year students. But I couldn't find a moment in the show that definitively stated what year Lukchub and Phai were.
From what im reading right now, The main story line ends with a cliffhanger that indicates that they will be together…
That's nice and all. I'm just not someone who likes to see abuse victims hook up with their attackers. So no, not behind this pairing and I hope they roll with them not working out. After appropriate amounts of back and forth, of course. I wouldn't want to skip the dramatic stuff.
Does anyone know why Kinn Porsche episode 3 airing was postponed due to Songkran while other production companies…
It often depends on the production company but since this is an IQIYI production and not a network program, that's not what's at play. But KP is 18+. And I believe programs with adult ratings traditionally are postponed during holidays.
I'm going to post the unpopular opinion on this. Worry about popularity has certainly never stopped me in the…
Agreed. And you're welcome.
I can't imagine the enormous pressure actors end up under, just from fan adoration and scrutiny. And I think part of what also bothers me is this pervasive cultural idea that when men send sexually explicit messages to female celebrities, it's creepy. But when women do it to male celebrities, it's somehow either funny, or just to be expected because "thirsty" posts are okay.

Just, no.
