I really enjoyed the episode, despite ranting about it in my far too long feedback review. I think the only thing that left me feeling strange was the funeral and Paper Wizard's post about that helped a bit. Ultimately, that funeral just wasn't there to satisfy Western viewers. And that's cool.

But wow, the rest was a ride! And yeah, in a good way, for the most part. Though Phai's scene almost gave me a stroke.

No worries. I understand why some folks haven't cared for this season. It's had its rough elements.

Wow! Those were fun! Thank you! For once those were pretty much exactly what I was expecting. I can't wait!

The music editor is a crazy person. LOL! I have many times this season gone WTF. But it hasn't stopped me enjoying the season.

The show is not perfect, but I think most of the problems are in pacing, which was likely the result of the writers having to compensate for the fact that Junior, Padbok's actor, pulled away from Star Hunter Entertainment at the last second and they had to change direction in a big way without time to adjust properly. So all in all, I cut them slack.

As for Pharawee and the cancer... That was hinted at in the book this was adapted from, all the way in the very beginning in like chapter 1 or 2. I didn't tie it into an illness initially, but Pha goes missing for a few days and Kit tells Wayu that Pha has taken days off due to a very bad headache that isn't going away. Then Pha comes back and right away dumps Wayu. So Pha's illness was always meant to be part of the plot.

I'm sorry you aren't enjoying the show.

I'm sad too. But Junior is in a new drama Boxer In Heart. If you want to follow him. It's not the same though. I really wanted Padbok/Sab.

Junior, we believe, has ended his contract with Star Hunter Entertainment and pulled from the project. He's still in this season but nominally. And he's no longer in a CP with Kad, the actor who plays SaenSab.

I've seen some behind the scenes footage that indicates he has another confrontation with Thanu, I presume it must happen this coming episode.

It's really sad for me. I liked Padbok and was looking forward to Padbok/Sab.

We've had some people new to the comments section in the last week who are either just now starting watching or are only up to episode 3. We are likely to see more come. Please put your post behind a spoiler warning.

I think this is the episode where we get the final confrontation with Thanu and Padbok and their story draws to a close. I am hoping the truth is made clear to Padbok.

We know it's not something Thanu did wrong, just that Padbok doesn't understand. So maybe Jack and Jill will fill Padbok in and the confrontation we know from BTS footage is coming, will be less about Padbok attacking Thanu and more about him seeking to know why he was left in the dark.

yeah, binge watching it may be a great approach. The main criticism I've had for this season has been pacing and I've wondered had I just waited and binge watched it, if the episodes would have seemed to flow better.

On the issue of Mark and Kit's conflict, IMHO Kit is having some emotional problems this season. And you'll see why. He goes through some stuff. One poster here created a long and very informative speculation on the issue a few weeks back. But it sort of all leads to Kit making a choice that doesn't quite make sense and certainly causes his relationship a lot of strain. But just know that Mark has been stalwart and always there for Kit and that his dedication to the relationship hasn't been overlooked by Kit. It's ouchie, but it was always going to get resolved.

And I hope you love the season, warts and all, as much as I have. But then I'm a Wayu/Thanu shipper, so I was going to love this season anyway.

TheKarielle is a good person who wasn't harassed in spite of their positive role on the boards. In fact, they were harassed specifically because of that positive role.

Last week after I posted about the toxic element in this Comments section, several of them and others came at me via DM. I didn't post here about it because I was handling it. I wish I had posted here about it then, because TheKarielle didn't know it was happening to anyone else.

So if it's happening to you, first thing, you aren't alone. And the invitation to talk to me is still open. It might help. It helped me. Along with the hater DM's, I was getting some wonderful people reaching out to me who were grateful I posted on the matter. And it helped put what I was going through into perspective.

The second thing that helped me was blocking those toxic people. Each and every one of them. So don't be shy about blocking someone. Why and who you block is no one's business but yours. That feature exists for you to make your space here more pleasant. Use it.

Now, that I've had my say on that, I'll reiterate here what I spoke about last week, because despite what others may think, it apparently needed called out and what happened to theKarielle (and me) proves it.

RECAP: There is no reason that posting an opinion on Gen Y has to involve the use of racial insults, or language that demeans women, or LGBT+ people (yes, BL fandoms can be deeply homophobic), or asexual spectrum people. Gender bias and bigotry are a thing here. Let's just call it what it is. If you are using this language, stop. If you are being hurt by this language, block the people involved (or anyone else you need to) and reach out to others who can support you.

The main couple this season is Thanu/Wayu, without a doubt. Mark/Kit comes in second for screen time I believe. And then Pok/Tong and the slow development of Jack/Koh.

Mark and Kit start the season out very strong and very sweet. They run into a somewhat unfathomable difficulty later. Though some of the fan theories behind it have been interesting. Looks like we'll probably see the conclusion of that problem this coming week.

Yep. A funeral. Let me know when you get there and we can talk all about that. LOL!

They promoted it well. I mean, I found out about it and I'm not particularly wired in. But I was looking specifically at Bas Suradet notifications and that might have been why I got the heads up along the way.

But I hope you'll watch the season and share your thoughts. Not everyone loves the season, but then not everyone loved season 1.

Reading this made me feel kind of stupid for not coming to some similar conclusion. I had the bricks I was just too dumb to build the road. Of course the Thai culture of grieving is different. I really am glad you posted this!

It did make me feel softer about the funeral and the moving on parts, in some ways. If not exactly in how I felt about the funeral and what came after, certainly in my assessment of the intent behind the scenes when they were created. And that means a lot.

I still think we needed some kind of end cap scenes to show maybe a time leading up to the funeral and maybe a scene afterwards that had some kind of "let's talk about our Pha feelings" before everyone moved on. But that may be implied in the whole process and I am still very steeped in my Western feels about funerals and grieving.
