Not only wasn't she a third-wheel, but also one of our allies. LOL
I just wanted to say I CAN'T WAIT for Adachi to see her "fantasy" of her ship when he investigates futher it's going to be priceless XD. I acutally think Fujisaki is best female character I've seen in a BL manga so far lol!
I heard they might be making a season 2. If that is true then chances of the kiss and dating happening maybe later…
As much as I want to see a a season 2, the way that they are adapting the manga events is kind of all over the place in my view. I am a bit worried that they are rushing adapting various scenes from the manga volumes. They might just cover volume 5 events in the last episodes.
So far a lot of the manga events are out of order the way the drama is adapting them. In episode 3 they are going to cover Fujisaki and that is in volume 3. The bit where Kurosawa protects Adachi is in volume 2 and that happened in the bussiness trip. I understand they won't have budget for that bussiness trip but lot of eventful moments happen there.
Plus the Fujisaki part happens AFTER another important moment piror in volume 3. The chapters in the manga are time based and certain scenes/event follow after one another, so to have the drama mess the order up is a bit worrying for me.
But still I'll stick to watching the drama series to see how they do events from the manga.
Just visited Adam Uni page and this is what he/she said:"For anyone who is worried about the typical BL lame-ass…
Yup can confirm this, I've read manga volumes 1-5. The great thing about most BL manga/novels from Japan is that they rarely have female characters in them at all. So in a way in most Japanese BL works there's rarely any female characters that get in the way of the male couple.
Some other spoilers I thought I can give light on. I like to see all your reactions and exicitment for this drama!Female…
I kind of wanted to apologise for giving the wrong information before. Like the drama I made assumptions on what would happen in the drama from reading parts of the advanced chapters on twiter but now I've read the manga volume 1-5 I now know what's going to happen in the drama! I spoiled some of it in the spoiler comments above.
Seems like I am spaming this site but I caved in and bought volumes 3-5 in Japanese (RIP £20) which I heard the…
Some other spoilers I thought I can give light on. I like to see all your reactions and exicitment for this drama!
Female rival: Yeah there's none nothing to worry about here. You don't have to worry about Fujisaki, because she's one of us lololol (If you know what I mean..)
Tsuge and Minato: They get closer, they meet outside Tsuge's house. They hangout and become friends. Adachi meets bumps into these two when he's with Kurosawa (Kurosawa get envious to Tsuge, best boyfriend). But so far neither have confessed to each other. But their relationship is going on at a nice pace.
Extra bit from volume 5: Adachi acutally confesses to Kurosawa that he can read minds and surprisingly Kurosawa takes it really well! God Adachi hit the jackpot when it come to getting a amazing lover!
There's going to be a volume 6 too so this manga series is going strong..
Seems like I am spaming this site but I caved in and bought volumes 3-5 in Japanese (RIP £20) which I heard the drama series should cover to an extent. £20 to spend to spoil myself to find out what happened in the manga it was WORTH IT!
OMG YEAH! IT'S BETTER THEN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE! If the drama closely follows the manga plot then THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST BL DRAMA OF 2020 WOO!
I'll spoil A BIT from the manga volume but not too much so read with caution! Not covering volume 1 and 2 because you can buy it in english yourself, support this series!
Volume 3: ONLY FRICK! ADACHI CONFESSED and they become a fricking couple! If the drama does this it's already the best BL drama of 2020!
Volume 4: AHHH they go on a date! THEY HOLD HANDS. I am going to die to see this in the live action drama version.
Volume 5: I guess I take it back about the kiss censorship. It's gone out of the window. THEY KISS. There's a two page spread. I saw it...
That's a bit of spoiler taste of what to expect from this drama. Yeah this is the BL drama of the year for me if they stick to the manga's plot.
So yeah you can ask me anything on this drama now, I am fully spoiled and happy from the manga. RIP to all of us for the upcoming weeks...
Wait.. I wondered why 2gether is rated so badly I thought the drama was ok. Was it because of the jealous ex-girlfriend…
No I don't think the manga plot is that melodramatic or angsty, like I said before there's a lot of general light hearted misunderstanding that happens in the manga plot. It's more to the slice of life style story very calm. relaxing and REALLY slow paced (super slow paced compared to other BL dramas which might be a put off to some).
I mentioned this before too but there's really no female characters that REALLY get in the way of the main couple. Ok there are female characters who have crushes on Kurosawa but he only has eyes for Adachi. So far from what I read there's 2 important female characters one is co worker Fujisaki (again not what she seems) and a sibling (if she appears from the manga).
I have a question is volume 5 the last volume or there will be more?
Volume 5 is the lastest manga volume from the mangaka, I think the mangaka has intentions of carrying on the story as long as she can snice it's being published in Square enix mnaga lineup. So the manga story is still ongoing as of now, unless the mangaka says so.
Is it true, this is total of 12 episode???Please tell me if this is legit
Yeah it's 12 episode, it says so on the main website. TV tokyo drama series runs have 12 episodes about 24 minutes. I think it's really generous compared to lenghts of other BL dramas.
okay but can someone promise me that the show won't go downhill? i'm so scared because it is already 10/10 and…
As Ichihachi mentioned I don't know what your expectations are for this series. What would be the factors for a show to go downhill?
I've been reading some of the untranslated chapters as well and the 1st 2 volumes in english, in terms of romance it's there but not really progressive like other BL drama would do, it's like paced like a snail. I don't think the main 2 have kiss at all (mostly likely if the mangaka ended the manga series they would kiss).
So far in the manga story there's seems to be a lot of misunderstanding/assumptions going on with the romance that the mangaka likes to do (ie like the preview for episode 4 like Sakai saying she "likes Adachi" when Adachi touches her by accident). But there's nothing too dramatic with more love rivals getting in the way of the main couple. The main couple still have this cute/pure chemistry.
I need to save up money to buy volume 3-5 to be sure.
Wait.. I wondered why 2gether is rated so badly I thought the drama was ok. Was it because of the jealous ex-girlfriend…
Oh ok, I did'nt really noticed it from watching the drama. I've seen way worse BL dramas compared to 2gether the series.
As for Cherry Magic I had read the 2 volumes (in English) and read some advanced chapters from the artist twitter. Acutally vol 3 to 5 is acutally kind of me pricey for me to buy right now but I know from reading from the advance chapters that the relationship between the main couple has'nt progressed much. But that's fine because Kurosawa feelings for Adachi are still strong.
I really love this series so far, 3 episodes in and I feel like they are improved from the manga. I feel like drama Adachi is more clumsy and cute compared to the manga version.
I just wanted to shout out to the 2nd couple development between Tsuge and Minato. Minato is so cute and more polite compared to the manga. OMG Tsuge reaction to his "kyun" moment and the BGM was going "kyun, kyun" it cracked me up. I look forward to how much of their development they show.
I really like it so far. Just praying that it doesn't turn into 2gether the series...
Wait.. I wondered why 2gether is rated so badly I thought the drama was ok. Was it because of the jealous ex-girlfriend and lack of skinship/kissing?
Well in terms of Cherry Magic, the two mains don't have ex-girlfriends so you don't have to worry about that. The female characters in Cherry Magic are ok and are not much a threat to the main couple.
But in terms of skinship and kissing, that's a different topic. Well as you can see in 3 episodes there's lot a skinship/touching because that's how's Adachi's powers work. But in terms of kissing I am sorry to disapoint but there's going to be none (because I've read the manga and some of the raws) that's because the manga is published with square enix which has to be family friendly (think about what did you eat yeterday which was also published in a family friendly publication no kissing or skinship allowed at all but it still worked).
But for the lack of kissing this story make it up for the romance feelings and chemistry between the main couple (which is in spades). I think a drama does'nt have to show kissing to convey romance. I am still going to stick watching this drama knowing there's going to be no kissing but who knows the preview for episode 4 is straying away from the source maybe in the end of the series they COULD kiss but that's hopeful wishing.
when will second episode come out? ep 1 was sp much fun. I love it.
So snice the drama started airing on the 8th October, Thursday. The drama will air new episodes every Thursday 1am Japan time. It may take a day or two for the raws to come out online I guess.
The stream for the 1 episode no english subs, but it mostly follows the manga.
TSUTAYA has very kindly provided episode 1 on stream for free, It's for a limited time only and don't ask for english subs because they won't do it. I don't think they will post anymore episodes on their youtube channel after this episode, this is a one off.
As for the episode itself it's a great introduction with some added parts but mostly follows the manga, I love the opening (Omoinotake ftw) and Adachi's own reaction to Kurosawa's delusion at the end cracked me up (that face!).
OH MY GOSH SAME. I feel tortured T T n-next year? Or two days after it’s release? lol
Well the theatre release date is only for people in Japan to watch the movie in theatres, the rest of the international fans will have to wait for the DVD release which is 3-4 months from the theatre release date so it pretty much next year.
I have my Chinese websites that allow me to watch Japanese movies with Chinese/Japanese subtitles. So I watched it with no English subtitles I have a good understanding of Japanese because I am studying it.
