I just started this and I'm only on episode 1, but you know that feeling when a drama instantly clicks with you? Thatās exactly what happened!
Iām absolutely loving the cinematography, the rawness and the storytelling. It's so well done! The child actors are incredibly talented, especially the little actress who plays Xia Feng Hua. She's such a ray of sunshine and absolutely adorable!
Also, little Si Yi is so beautiful. Is the actress really just 10 years old and the same age as the actress who plays Xia Feng Hua? I couldnāt find her listed in the cast.
I donāt mind Bi Wen Jun, but his cameo was so unremarkable šš¤·š»āāļø It would have been SO MUCH…
Agree! That would've been cool haha Even if it was another actor from MJTY... it would've made much more sense if they watched MJTY because they referenced it already in the drama :D
I'm so glad a C-drama finally had the courage to cut off a toxic parent! They always try to force a weak "redemption arc" just because "but he/she is my mom/dad." No, if someone, blood-related or not, does something truly unforgivable, you donāt have to forgive them.
After years of watching terrible drama parents get away with everything, this was incredibly satisfying!
the amount of kisses in this drama is insane !! sooo good and they are not stiff too !it's not even a simple kiss,…
I'm wondering how censoring works in China... Sometimes they don't even allow a peck and sometimes kisses like these make it magically to the surface lol I'm thankful to the people who viewed this drama and deemed those kisses as "okay" since I wouldn't want to miss out on them haha
This was such a sweet drama! Exactly what I needed in my life right now! I'm sad that it's over, but I've been really happy watching this the last few weeks ā¤ļø
That bracelet's color suits her so well! š I donāt think Iāve seen anything with Xu Ruo Han before, but she is absolutely stunning and so charming! Plus, the color of her hair and wardrobe complement her perfectly. Whoever did her personal color analysis nailed it haha
I'm only on episode 11 but overall, the only good thing about the show is Zhang Wan Yi. The lead actress is bland…
Iām glad Iām not the only one feeling this way! Iām stuck on ep. 7 and struggling. I wanted to watch this so badly. Despite the recent flood of dramas with similar plots, I actually enjoy this kind of storyline. And I love Zhang Wan Yi⦠but even he might not be enough to keep me going.
This feels more like a short-length-drama in terms of writing and production.
Nooo, I donāt want this drama to end! š You know those dramas where you donāt even want the express package, you savor them little by little every day just to keep that sweet sugar rush going! š This one was so fluffy and gave me a daily dose of dopamine!
I know no oneās forcing me to watch all the episodes today⦠but letās be real, I wonāt be able to stop myself from binge-watching the rest. Thatās why I actually preferred sticking to one episode a day š Yeah, I know, Iām the odd one here haha
But these kinds of dramas only come around once in a while⦠Iām going to miss it so much! š
Nope you don't. People saying they "understand YiFan reason BUT SY did not derserve that". Never understand YiFan…
It's okay! Thank you for acknowledging ā¤ļø
Yes, indeed! I actually love that this drama sparks so many different opinions and gets us thinking. The changes from the novel can completely shift how people perceive the story, which is pretty fascinating!

I get your perspective, but please, you donāt know me, so donāt put words in my mouth that I never said. I never dismissed Wen Yi Fanās trauma, nor did I claim that Sang Yanās pain was greater than hers. You donāt have to agree with my view, but at least argue against what I actually said, not what you assumed I meant.
Wen Yi Fan absolutely went through deep trauma and her mindset was shaped by her past. I never said she wasnāt suffering or that her pain wasnāt valid. And as a woman myself, yes, I do understand her! But that doesnāt mean her actions donāt have consequences for the people around them.
Sang Yan may have kept his job, but neglecting his well-being isnāt just about quitting work... itās about how much someone loses themselves emotionally. He put so much into Wen Yi Fan that he lost sight of his own needs.
At the end of the day, we just see things differently, and thatās okay. I donāt think thereās a single ācorrectā way to interpret a story like this.
As much as I understand Wen Yi Fan's reasons, Sang Yan didnāt deserve to be treated this way. She hurt him so much, to the point where he completely neglected his own well-being and life.
If I were him, I think Iād be traumatized for life, constantly feeling like I have no hold on the person I love. Iād always be anxious, wondering when the next time would be that they disappear...
If this were real life and you were Sang Yanās friend, sibling, or parent, what would you do? It wasnāt healthy how he put his life on hold for her and for such a long time. Honestly, I think I would have told him to let her go. Call me heartless, but if someone is so broken, doesn't seek help and repeatedly ghosts and disappears on you to the point where it severely impacts your mental health, itās not āgiving upā on them. Itās choosing to prioritize yourself. But this is a drama, so I guess it's okay to romanticize Sang Yan's behaviour...
One thing that bothers me with a lot of dramas is how unbalanced the relationships are. Itās almost always one person giving so much more than the other. I think the only recent drama where I saw a completely balanced, healthy relationship was "Always Home".
While I understand why Wen Yi Fan reacted the way she did, that doesnāt make her actions right. I think thatās why I preferred the novelās approach. But the drama is still good in its own way :)
