I realized, XY left with a man who lacks will to not bends over his manipulative family politics while, selfishly…
And that's why I can't comprehend how people say, he is green flag and the best choice for XY... Like why? Because he's the only one who confessed to her?
His confession was really selfish, especially with those 15 years, because he was too incompetent to keep his promise.
I think she was basically banking on no one recognizing her 20 years later (or however long it was), even while…
Yeah, moving into her old house is already not smart 😅 As of now she doesn't impress me as a cop. I hope she will show more competent features later.
But I find it weirder how no one except Baek Doo recognized her or thought that she looked remotely similar to Doo Shik. They even compared childhood pictures of Doo Shik and her and still didn't think they look alike. That's quite weird, because she clearly is Doo Shik.
Seems like Baek Doo's father also couldn't recognize her or did he? In ep 2 , he went to her house, saw her and made a weird denial expression, that I couldn't make sense of.
Ep. 4 was really good! I enjoy the ssireum matches and hope it focuses more on the sports in the upcoming episodes :D
Also glad that Baek Doo being the murder suspect was cleared pretty fast. Hope it won't be an issue in the future. I would feel so bad for Baek Doo, if they tried to make him the scapegoat just to close the case. He was really cute crying about the money he stole XD Also the whole village was on his side, which was a delight to see.
Finally Baek Doo knows about her being a cop. Excited of how they'll cooperate now. Tbh she doesn't really do a good job being undercover lol Especially in front of Baek Doo. It seems to me, she didn't even try XD
24 episodes of immense chemistry, slow-burn romance and angst and we get that kind of lame "kiss"? Ugh... I absolutely hate Chinese censorship. And I don't understand censorship at all. There are so many Chinese dramas with decent kiss scenes or even intense hot kiss scenes.
Especially as this is a slow burn romance, this is just disappointing...
She is a detective and leading an undercover operation and she wanted to find the truth behind the murders, and…
It's your opinion, if you see it like that, but imo she is rude and inconsiderate. She's taking advantage of him (asking him to train with Beom Su and sound out stuff about the coach. Even tho that's her job as a detective, not his.)
Also trying to make him the coach, even tho he never remotely said, he wanted to do that. Even if it's for his "own good." She has been missing for years, comes back and meddles in his life, while she brushes him off when it's about her. She's allowed to meddle in his life, but he isn't? I consider that rude, especially because they're not as close as they used to be.
Just imagine you would be in Baek Doo's shoes. Would you like it, if a friend of childhood, who you haven't seen in 10 years or so, come back and meddle in your life, without even trying to rekindle the relationship first?
I loved the first two episodes, but Ep 3 was rather boring. They're already dragging some of the mystery/murder plot and it stopped being intriguing. (For example the argument the coach had with someone. We saw that scene dozen of times but absolutely no progression with that scene. Why show it so often then?)
Also FL rubs me the wrong way. She's not really likable as of now. I dislike how she takes advantage of Baek Doo for her investigation, but leaves him in the dark as of why. I don't see a reason why she won't confide him, when he already knows who she is.
She is quite rude to him, always doing things her way, without asking Baek Doo for his opinion. (Coach position). While I do agree Baek Doo would be good as coach, as we've seen him to enjoy teaching/giving advice to his colleagues and stuff, it's absolutely not her place to decide what he should do in the future, especially after she went mia for years. I know it seems like their dynamics was always like that, even as children, but they are grown ups now and not best friends anymore. I feel like she is in no position to treat him like that.
I also hope there will be a really good reason for her hiding her identity. Because even her partner asked "Why not do this investigation openly?" So this investigation doesn't necessarily have to be an undercover mission, but rather it's her choice to hide her identity?
The rating says meh! but the comments say otherwise 😂 I saw some edits of Yoo Jeong Jae and it caught my attention. Maybe I will try this one soon, if more episodes are out 😊
I see Penthouse in the recs... Is it also heavily makjang like Penthouse? Didn't really like that one 😂 There are the enjoyable makjangs (Shining Inheritance, Can You Hear My Heart etc. "Yeah, I'm an oldie fan" lol) and cringe makjang (Penthouse, etc.) How heavy is the soap opera/makjang level here?
I was thinking about picking this up after it finished airing, but coming here every week just to read the disappointment of the viewers. I think it's a good time now to just drop it 😅
This series are so perfect at this point that I'm scared of what could happen in the next 6 episodes (it's kdrama,…
I'm also scared... There hasn't been one Kdrama this year that I was fully satisfied with. They somehow always manage to ruin a good drama or make me lose interest.
This has been such a great drama! I really hope they will keep this up until the end without creating unnecessary misunderstandings and conflicts.
This is my all-time favorite drama that I watch at least once a year. I won't ever be able to watch this again the same way... I'm at loss for words. I'm just so sad. Rest in Peace, my Mister 💔
Its already been discussed you should read the comments below. The scene where he apologised properly has been…
I really don't get the censorship 😅 I've seen some Chinese dramas with suicide attempts and it wasn't cut out... Also here in ep 17 she jumped off the roof... But that wasn't cut out either ._.
It's my first time seeing a drama with Liu Hao Cun and she's phenomenal! She's really carrying the drama for me, especially with her emotional and crying scenes. Just searched for her and saw that she's actually a rookie actress. Wow.. I'm impressed!

I just started this drama and didn't want to spoil myself therefore didn't read any comments yet. But it really seems like all of this is caused due to editing or censorship.
That's a shame... Because the quality of the story is lacking because of that. All these unnecessary make-up scenes made it, but essential scenes didn't? I will never understand Chinese editing T-T
I'm really not a fan of how they just brushed off MLs aggressive behavior without him properly apologizing or even regretting how he treated her and acknowledging that he hurt her.
He literally said that he doesn't give a f*** about her and just wants his friend and the old Jiang Xiao Yuan back and all kind of other mean things + aggressive/controlling behaviour. He was so incredibly mean to her but in ep 12 she already forgotten everything and is all smiles and giggly around him. Like how?! She was distant towards him for mere seconds and then everything was good again without a proper confrontation.
Sometimes we get really emotional scenes and the next scene it just seems to not have ever happen. Like when they went to that reunion and she was utterly humiliated and thought that was his intention for bringing her there. Then the next scene they just wrote their partnership contract. I thought they would've at least a confrontation after she was so hurt by those actions, but nope...
I really love those emotional scenes, but I have the feeling they never have an aftermath here and a proper confrontation for it to "resolve" naturally. It's frustrating and I feel that really brings down the quality of the story.

I will support u until the end, Xiang Liu babe ❤️😂

I will wait for viki then. Thanks tho :)
I started this on kisskh, but the subs are horrible T-T

Especially as this is a slow burn romance, this is just disappointing...
