I didn't really like Oh Yoo Kyung when she tried to hide her identity and treated Baek Doo harshly and made unasked choices for him. But now that she acknowledged her identity, I enjoy the bickering and interactions between her and Baek Doo a lot! Because they are on par now and it doesn't feel unbalanced anymore. I feel that the acknowledgment restored their strong friendship and even tho still has that judgy tone, it feels like Baek Doo getting scolded and bickers with a close friend, which I don't mind anymore.
I still don't really get romantic vibes between them, but I'm curious how they'll built it up in the upcoming episodes. They have a great friendship dynamics and even tho I'm a romance addict, I wouldn't mind just friendship between them. But still excited for how their relationship will go the romantic route 😊
Also Baek Doo is such a kind and caring soul! I love that he's no doormat-kind-of-nice, but the kind of nice, that I just go "awwww" ❤️ I adore him, just like the restaurant Ahjumma, Lim Hyun Ja 😂
So after ep 12 I'm kinda scared, but still hopeful that the writers won't destroy this drama. I genuinely hope this adaption won't have the cheating part. Japan tend to normalize cheating, but Korea doesn't, so I'm hopeful. Maybe there will be misunderstandings and a break up. I'm okay with that, even tho I would love them to end up together. Both of them suffered enough and I doubt Jin Woo would open his heart again for someone...
Also I would not just feel bad for ML, but also for Jo Han. He really likes her and it would be too unfair for him to be used like that. As a tool to soothe her pain. Cheating part would ruin so many relationships. Not just ML and FL's relationship. But also her friendship with Jo Han. The friendship FL built with Ji Woo's best friend and his wife. It would just ruin everything lol
Up until ep 12 this drama is just so perfect. 10/10 until now. Sadly there were no Kdramas I gave a 10/10 in 2023... I would love to start 2024 with giving a high rating again. So please writers... don't destroy this for me :)
3 types of people who criticize drama: 1.) Too comfortable. 2.) Waiting for FL to cheat. 3.) ML too old to act.
I really can't imagine her cheating in this adaption. She doesn't seem like a cheater-type at all and is head over heels for ML. Also her "potential cheating partner" seems to be her childhood-friend, with whom she has zero romantic vibes for til now... I can clearly see, that she thinks of him just as family. Even if it's not the case for him. Maybe if she was dead-drunk, she would. I don't know 😅
ML rather seems like he could potentially cheat, but not because he seems like the type for it, but because we saw how deep the relationship with his first love was. After so many years, he's still affected by her til now. But he also doesn't seem to be the type to cheat, so if the writers are true to the characters, they won't include the cheating part.
But I've seen too many butchered-up Kdramas, so I guess, I would not be surprised as well lol
Go back a bit and you’ll see that it’s a sliding door and that the farther side of the window is wide open…
The scenes do match. From inside the building scenes, you see only the big window tho. The open door is right next to it, but not in the scene itself. But in the outdoor scenes (with ML and FL), the open door is in the scene and the big window next to it :) But I do agree that the big window looks bigger in the indoor scenes. But i think that is just a perspective matter.
Ok, I can’t quite figure out what the other painter is upset by. It’s like he’s mad at Seo Kyeong for him…
I think he was never a stalker or an arsonist, but rather rumors made it seem like that. And it's somehow connected to Seo Kyeong and maybe also Jin Woo. And that's why he is angry. He obviously liked or still likes her...
Maybe there was even mutual feelings between him and Seo Kyeong back then, but everyone assumed he was her stalker.
I'm curious what happened back then. I think they do a good job at keeping the past still intriguing :D
Is it still not on viki or just not availabe in my country? I'm waiting for good subs... Guess this will be already over airing, when we finally get some. I would love to join MDL discussions while drama airs, but I won't be able to :'(
How do non-mandarin-speakers watch this drama with such horrible AI subs? I tried and it ruins so much, I won't be able to enjoy or appreciate this drama, the way it should be.
i feel like that the women who is missing (because of her the whole cases started) her husband is the murderer…
Sound really plausible!... But in ep 10 we saw that Kim Myeong Sik was the guy with the mask who tried to kidnap/murder FL. FL scratched him and it was revealed that it's Kim Myeong Sik. Now I'm wondering if there are two murderers...
Ep 11 was a really good episode again! The scenes between Jin Woo and Moeun are so soothing and soft. I could watch them all day. I love this couple and this drama... but why am I scared they're gonna butcher this drama up? I have trust issues with Kdramas lately... 😅
I love Tae Ho as the addition to the art class. His interaction with one of the girls on the bus was too cute! I'd watch a friendship/romance drama with them lol
Also the meaning behind Jin Woo's secret artist name "Dino" is so sad... I felt so bad for tiny Jin Woo T-T It must have been so lonely for him. And then people always ask why deaf people, who were of hearing in the past, stop speaking.. because of this :( I know they were just kids, but it was so horrible when all of them were laughing, when he introduced himself. That scene just broke my heart...
Lots of comments about that kiss. Just want to add my 2 cents.Romance, chemistry is still nice without skin ship…
Exactly! Everyone saying we shouldn't complain, because the focus isn't solely on romance here and that they still have tons of chemistry...
I would agree, but then there shouldn't be any kiss scenes in general, if they look this bad. The first one you could literally see how he put a thumb between their lips 😂
Liu Hao Cun is a really great actress and her acting made this drama for me, but I hope she won't be taking romance leads in the future, if she's not allowed to have kiss scenes.
What a great movie! The topic is really heavy, but I love that the ending was quite hopeful. Usually you have tragic from beginning til end with these kind of movies, but this still didn't leave me with a horrible feeling 😅
But now I'm curious. Is this based on real life events? Because in the end it said that there were made new laws and harder punishment for bullies, because of this case. But I can't find anything related to a real case. It just says that this is based on a novel.... Is the novel based on a real case?
Did they have to turn the FL into a total idiot?! How stupid do you have to be to believe those text messages came from a kidnapped woman? Especially if the culprit is still out there?! Also her not contacting and even ignoring the police. I wouldn't even have felt bad for her if she died there. They seriously could've found another way to lurk her to the murderer...That was just dumb writing!
Also I usually like that FL has some screws loose, but she was just annoying today. When she woke up after the surgery, she could've been of help to catch the culprit. Because she scratched him and maybe there were still his DNA under her fingernails. But no, she was just obsessed and totally rude to others bcus of that dream (past) of hers.
Wow! Episode 6 was absolutely brilliant! So intense and heartbreaking. I'm actually not a fan of classic or orchestra music, but the use of those orchestra scenes intertwined with dramatic scenes really has another feeling to it than the usual OST ballads. Just awesome! Now that I caught up, I can't wait for the next episodes!
Also after ep 6 I'm really offended by that rating now. 😂 This drama is amazing! This deserves at least a 8.5 as off now!
Just finished ep 5... OMG The husband is the WORST! He turned into a full-fledged psycho. I want him to lose everything he has. He really deserves to suffer.
Even tho I don't like Jeong Jae's pushy and controlling behavior, I'm still glad someone as powerful as him is on Cha Se Eum's "side".
Ah Jin is a typical cliché makjang mistress. So shameless and playing victim all the time. She's a good fit with the husband. He also loves to play the victim... :D Can't wait until Cha Se Eum's divorce is official.
I actually came here because I saw edits of Se Eum and Yoo Jeong Jae and their chemistry is indeed fire. But I'm not sure if I ship them after watching the first 3 episodes. He seems too obsessed with her and controlling as well. I wouldn't want another toxic relationship for her... Let's see how their relationship is gonna develop.
So gave it a try and binge-watched 3 episodes. It's really good! Not a dull moment and I absolutely love Lee Young Ae's portrayal as a conductor. Cha Se Eum is so classy, graceful, professional and just give off highly powerful vibes. She actually reminds me of a Professor I had when I studied Design. At first I was scared of her, because she just seemed so strict, but I learnt so much from that Prof., that she became my favourite teacher and role model. So I totally understand Lee Roo Na's admiration for Cha Se Eum.
Also Lee Young Ae is so beautiful and youthful. She has beautiful eyes and I'm really fond of her acting.
The MDL rating is way too low, but the ratings here hasn't been reliable for quite some time. And it seems a lot of watchers didn't rate yet. I also usually not rate a drama until it's finished. So always try for yourself if a drama is worth it 😊
