Title Captivating the King Spoiler
I remember yesterday writing the 600th comment and now with this we are at 780.Ohhh boy...Truth to be told,I would…
I understand both of them and think it's thrilling that ML is not your typical goody-goody/righteous ML. But I think there is more to it, than it seemed. But nevertheless, her good friend died unjustly and it partly is ML's fault. I'm really curious how she will be able to love him again after such a betrayal...

But I honestly can't see a happy ending in this drama. It's gonna be tragic... but I'm here for it 😂

That would be a huge and disappointing twist. :( Especially since our FL and her father had so much fondness towards…
I doubt that will happen, but it would be an unforeseen and never seen twist in Kdramaland 😂

Ep 4 was the best so far. Incredibly powerful and heart-wrenching episode. I would've never thought, that so much blood would be spilled already, The synopsis hinting at the female lead seeking revenge on Lee In makes complete sense now. I had been curious about how her loyalty and unshakable trust in him would erode, and after Episode 4 it's totally understandable and reasonable.

Even I couldn’t believe how cold and cruel he was as a King... It surely is cruel to be a ruler of a country. If there would be a twist in the end and it results in that Lee In was actually behind everything and committed treason, then I would totally believe it lol 😂

I'm completely engrossed in this drama, and the performances of of everyone is truly exceptional. I'm intrigued to see how Mong Woo plans to infiltrate the palace, especially considering her recognizable face.

The initial two episodes were alright, but the show hasn't fully engaged me yet. Despite being a comedy, I didn't find anything particularly amusing or funny so far. Both ML and FL strike me as equally annoying at this point, leaving me without a truly likable protagonist so far. But character development will be a big part of this drama, so I'm hopeful for improvement in this part.

I can't help but notice a recurring pattern where female lead characters in cop roles seem to possess nearly identical personalities...

Definitely my fave drama airing at the moment :D Why do the subs come out a day after it airs >_< I wasn't patient and watched ep 6 raw and I'm glad I understand Saeguk tone much more that I thought.

Ep 6 was so good! And the leads have incredible chemistry. They have more tension than a lot of romance focused drama couples. I'm so excited for next week, because the leads finally acknowledged each other 😄

Yoyo English channel has proper subs. Here is the link to playlist. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTB73Ibi_X3G5RoRjW43dFtqd10EDA8Ua&si=bj3GCv6MmHW6RVe7
The subs are great... but the sound is annoying, played over other songs and not the original. That's a shame because this is about Folk arts and music.
I guess I'll wait for other uploads. Thank you tho! 😊

I'm curious what your thoughts are about "Call it Love" https://kisskh.at/726339-tell-me-it-s-love. For…
I also enjoyed "Call it Love". It does share similar vibes. However, I found that the intensity between the couple lacked compared to the central pairings in "Lost" and "My Liberation Notes," despite having more physical intimacy. While "Call it Love" had good tension in the first half, it didn't maintain my engagement in the second half as much.

If you're in the mood for a slow-paced drama, I highly recommend "My Liberation Notes." Even tho it unfolds at an even more deliberate pace than "Lost" albeit without the much darker undertones.

It actually took me some time to connect with it; the first two episodes didn't immediately capture my interest.
Yet, by the sixth episode, I was fully invested, especially as the narrative delves into the stories of all the siblings. Among them, Mi Jeong's and Mr. Gu's story stood out as my favorite pairing.

I have a question in this drama era, can widows remarry?
Well no, not really. For men, I'm not sure. I believe they can, but women are not allowed or not supposed to. They are even expected to follow their husbands to death or mourn for them their whole life... The issue is depicted in this drama.

Rewatched this masterpiece the last few days and it's still hitting hard after a few years. Originally I gave it a 9/10 back then but I don't know why... I loved and appreciated it even more on the second watch. So I'm giving it the full 10/10 now. It's still depressing af, but gosh...I loved it! You've got to be in the mood for a slow drama like this and if you are, it's downright exceptional!

I'm usually a hardcore romance enthusiast, but I really have a soft spot for these kind of slice of life/drama pairings, where the focus is not fully on romance. The tension and slow burn is just on another level with these kind of pairings. As of now Kang Jae/Bu Yeong in "Lost" and Mi Jeong/Mr. Gu in "My Liberation Notes" are the only pairings where I felt that way.

Also I realized again how charming Kang Jae is haha XD I really love this kind of ML. Never actually saw a similar character like him. He exudes charm, adds a hint of sarcasm and despite his nonchalant demeanor, there's a tender side to him. Plus, his way of talking is simply amusing.

The initial two episodes were exceptionally well-done! They truly captivated my interest, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next episodes. The entire cast's performances have been outstanding so far, with Choi Dae Hoon's portrayal of King Lee Sun standing out for me with his remarkable depiction of a paranoid and pitiful king. It's been a while since I liked a Sageuk from the get-go :D

And Jo Jung Suk's versatility as an actor is truly remarkable. He's amazing in comedic roles, but his performance in serious ones is equally impressive. Given the weightiness of this drama, I'm looking forward to more emotionally charged scenes with his acting :)

Also I'm pretty sure Shin Sae Kyung stepped up her game. I wasn't fond of her performances before I watched her on "Run On." But I'm enjoying her portrayal in this drama so far, although I can't help but overlook the somewhat conspicuous makeup used for her male disguise. A detail that seems unnecessary and slightly amusing... But that's Kdrama for u haha :D

First two episodes were soooo good!!!!! I usually have a hard time getting into action/thriller genre, but this one really hooked me from the start. It's darker than expected but so far the graphic violence isn't too much for me. Also the child actress of Jeong Ji An is phenomenal! Wow, I'm highly impressed. She definitely stole the show for me in the first two episodes.

I'm excited for the next episodes!

I found this on Google:"In the Joseon era, widows who preserved their chastity were honored with chastity gates.…
Thank you! You found the better site of Google haha XD
Now that I think about it, I believe the FL in recent drama "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" had a chastity gate memorial stone built for her after she died as a "chaste and honorable" widow.

can somebody tell me how was the romance so far? i'll watch it if there's love line between the lead
There is no "actual romance" so far. But the leads have great chemistry and definitely some tension. Their relationship is somewhat between frenemies and comradeship. If there is gonna be romance tho, then the built-up is really good and enjoyable :)

I never expected to enjoy this drama so much, but I'm absolutely hooked!

The chemistry between the leads is delightfully chaotic, and I'm loving every moment of it. Despite sharing a common goal, they each take different paths to achieve it.

And what's refreshing is that the writers didn't compromise the intelligence of the leads so far. ML recognizes FL, even in disguise, because he can put two and two together. Recognizing her eyes and voice. Which is often overlooked in disguise plots and dumbs down the characters. So it's a pleasant change from the usual trope where characters are inexplicably clueless.

While I'm totally in for romance, I equally enjoy the camaraderie and frenemies dynamic between the leads. I’m really anticipating how their relationship will unfold in the upcoming episodes :D

omg the twist... starting ep 4 I thought father-in-law is protective over his daughter-in-law and a loving husband to his (tho evil) wife and then by the end, he seems to be behind Kang Pil Jik and is maybe the ultimate villain?! That's really interesting! I'm curious if he had something to do with his own son's death or with FL's missing brother...

It was FL's brother's name on that paper roll of the three dead people, right?
