Whether it is new thing for K-actors to step into K-drama world after doing KBL or not, it is working for BL fans as well as for them!!! it is not like Thai, that has dedicated BL Industry...so even this much is enough!!!

this fucking drama ruined her life … hope these bastards go to hell…they changed the script didn’t even tell her…she signed for something and got something and she was forced to do the drama and couldn’t back up because of pressure from agency and peers…fuckers just fuckers…she weighs 36kg this is crime committed against her….you know how difficult it is to see someone hospitalized in mainland China??? she is a big star like one of the biggest…normally such news don’t make it to screen in China as nothing should be bigger than CCP news but she made headlines both domestic and international and she still blogging her to control the situation to show people she is alright…fuck her agency and people around her..I know she loved doing what she does…but if she can should quit and live a life she wants even though it has no money in it…

Which series from other countries?
CN couldn’t care less, to pass the censorship they have to create this…they can’t use original locations or setting … Chinese TV and Radio Administration will never approve…have you seen any CN based production outside of China??? No there isn’t they will create a fake country with similar elements of those war torn countries but they willl never use original countries or subjects. In normal dramas many times cities, places are fake and made up. Many series are shot in Xinjiang province and near Alaska region but they will never mention origins cities name instead they will creat a new name. This is their CCP policies and to avoid backlash and serious implication from the party.

Which series from other countries?
You can watch Homeland—the female lead, played by Claire Danes, was bipolar, and after spending decades in war-torn countries, she developed severe anxiety. While the series didn't focus primarily on her treatment, it handled her condition exceptionally well. The acting, especially by Claire Danes, was phenomenal—one of the best performances in TV history.

When it comes to PTSD, most portrayals are found in films rather than TV series. However, if you're looking for emotionally heavy depictions, I highly recommend Aftersun and Normal People. Both are deeply infused with PTSD-related themes, and the overwhelming sense of gloom they create is remarkable—it completely pulls you in. Interestingly, both projects star Paul Mescal, who has recently gained significant fame.

For war-specific PTSD, Jacob’s Ladder is an incredible psychological horror film that showcases the haunting effects of the Vietnam War on soldiers. Waltz with Bashir, an Israeli animated film, delivers a chilling portrayal of the trauma caused by the Palestinian and Lebanese massacres—told through the perspective of a soldier struggling to remember his role in it.

And my all-time favorite—the saddest, most gut-wrenching war film ever—is the Japanese animated masterpiece Grave of the Fireflies (1988) by Studio Ghibli. I was in tears within the first 10 minutes, and by the end, completely devastated. It’s one of the greatest war films ever made, period. There was also a live-action series adaptation in 2005, but I haven’t seen that version. If you haven't watched the original, prepare yourself—it’s a soul-crushing experience that stays with you forever.

Which series from other countries?
The thing is, unlike Chinese dramas, other countries don’t create fake nations with a mix of people and label them as “Dongguo” or "East Country," only to depict China playing a pivotal role in saving them from the depths of terror.

Other countries have the freedom to depict such elements within their own borders, showcasing real-life struggles and the horrors of war, either within their own context or by filming abroad. This approach feels authentic, powerful, emotional, and impactful.

This series, however, tries to make me feel sympathy and learn important lessons from a place that doesn’t even exist, with people who aren’t Chinese, but rather a mix of actors from the South, West, North, and Central Asia, along with some from impoverished South American countries.

It fabricates an entire world that looks unconvincing, poorly executed, and ultimately fake. It just feels bad—nothing more.

If you want to show the horror of war and its ultimate impact, go to actual countries where wars happened. Show their local culture and your ability to help them. That would be far more powerful for China, as well as provide a more original and meaningful story, rather than creating an entirely fake country that doesn’t align with anything real.

How ridiculously, bookishly, and fictionally correct is this! This is exactly why even serious concepts in Chinese dramas often feel unbearably cringe. I don’t know about others, but when a series presents a concept like this, it feels incredibly superficial and hollow—there’s no real warmth, nuance, or depth in what’s being depicted. It’s just actors going through the motions, reciting lines from a script without any genuine emotional weight or connection to the audience.

In contrast, series from other countries that explore similar themes manage to convey raw, human emotions that truly resonate. They don’t treat viewers like passive recipients of a rehearsed message but instead let the story breathe and unfold naturally. Here, it’s just empty storytelling with no impact, lacking any real immersion or authenticity.

On top of that, the way the show depicts the effects of war—how people are depressed and struggling—feels incredibly bookish, predictable, and emotionally manipulative. The suffering is shown in an obvious, exaggerated way rather than being subtly woven into the narrative. There’s no raw, organic emotion; it’s all staged and desperately trying to elicit sympathy rather than earning it naturally. Instead of allowing viewers to form their own emotional connection, the show dictates how we should feel, making it feel forced and insincere.

I know I’ll be lectured for saying this—I’m well aware. People will tell me to “just leave if you don’t like it,” or worse, try to dehumanize me for not connecting with it. And of course, the most devoted fans will rush to defend it and lobby against any form of criticism. But let’s be real—this comment section is open to everyone. Constructive criticism, when done respectfully, should be welcomed. And this is exactly how I feel about this series.

very subtler romance between Benjamin adn Saxin, you can call it bromance...but they have no relationship as such of brothers...but love the way they bicker, fight and Benjamin low key duck for him, never get back at him...lol by 10 episode they are more exciting than a ML-FL couple.

Actually I loved the reveal and how casually they revealed without beating any drums of suspense!!!
I mean, Cir saw a guy who, despite having nothing, was so lovable, adorable, and hopeful that he transferred that joy to Cir back in their school days. But since Cir lived a life of abuse and trauma at the hands of his family, he created a world of happiness with Phu by his side. Together, they lived happily every day, waking up next to each other and enjoying ordinary days.

However, the fear of reality breaking his bubble loomed over him. So, he decided to create a lie to make things work with Phu. I completely understand why he lied to Phu—why he felt the need to pretend they knew each other or that he was from a parallel world.

I just wish he had told Phu the truth sooner because Phu would love him no matter what. I just want to see Cir happy and free from his crazy mother!
