I appreciate all things fresh and original. I know this is a remake of a western series, so it's not really that original. But our context here is the Korean television, so yes, in that sense, this is fresh and original. This is definitely not something you see everyday in your usual kdrama binge. And I was highly entertained by this one, the humor totally got me. I recommend watching this if you want some break from all those heavy dramas you just recently marathon-ed. But if all you want is a dose of your cliche, formulaic kdrama, then this one is not for you.

One thing I'm happy about this drama is that it gathered respectful fans, unlike other overrated kdramas out there where you can't say your own piece without the toxic, rabid teenage fans refuting your every single word, lol, as if only their opinion matters. That's it, I'm just happy about the comment section. Of course, there will be dissenting reviews, but it's okay. Us, fans won't shove our opinions down your throat. That alone already says something a lot about this drama. :)

We're just running around circles here, but oh well. I can tell you're relatively new to the realm of kdrama, so I hope that as you go along, you come across even greater dramas, because there really are a lot of interesting genres that are just waiting to be discovered in K-ent. So, this will be my final comment here, but before I end, I hope you a good kdrama journey ahead. :)

I'm sorry, but let me quote your earlier comment, "Haters gonna try and lower the rating for this one coz they cant accept that this one has a higher rating than their favorite drama. Typical crab mentality." Aren't you the first to downplay those who rated this one low by calling them "haters" with crab mentality? You said so yourself that you haven't watched a lot, so really shouldn't be the first to judge. I hope this ends here. Thank you. :)

I would have rated this one a 10 if not for the romantic arc which I wasn't a fan of.

You want to know why I rated The Producers higher than this one? Because that one has more original concept than this drama. In fact, this drama is cliche for the most part. You'll know if you've watched a lot of kdramas, which it appears you have not :) And, are you a standards police now? Where do you get a certification for that? :)

Or have you tried considering that maybe, just maybe they have watched better kdramas so they now have higher standards? The world is huge out there, and does not really revolve around your fave tv series, dear :)

I like this one better than the other currently popular drama. It made the struggles of the characters realistic and relatable, unlike the other drama with its over-the-top unnecessary plot device. I mean, mental health issue is complicated enough, why make it more difficult with all those melodramatic plots.

As a fan, I wish for him to take on more challenging roles. I honestly wasn't too impressed of his role in IOTNBO, because I believe it wasn't something he hadn't done before. (Do Min Joon and Moon Kang Tae have a lot of similarities, and require the same level of acting.) I understand the choice of project, though. He wanted to play it safe since he just came back from doing military service, and his previous project didn't really fare well in the box office, so might as well stick to the tried and tested formula.

Now that the drama has ended, and was warmly received by thousands of viewers, I hope he relaxes a little bit, and take on a project that will really show his acting versatility, without having to feel pressured about getting favorable response from the general public and topping the charts.

Best actor of his generation, even better than some of the higher-paid ones.
