I started watching this series today, and I am pleasantly surprised. I read a lot of convincing comments that criticized this series, so I was on the verge of archiving it as Not Interested. For now, I am glad that I gave it a chance. It is actually an engaging and hilarious story. I am impressed by how many times I laughed. Not many series have made me laugh so genuinely. Jimmy is doing great. Maybe it is because I find him extremely hot, but I think that he is really charismatic and cool in this series. I saw that a lot of viewers are complaining about his acting. He is indeed not flawless, but compared to Bad Buddy his acting has improved. He and Sea are so cute together. Kudos to them.
Ugh.. Akk is irritating. I am just on ep 2 so won't say much but I am judging him hard. He is a close minded stupid…
I think that you are too harsh on Akk. He is a little narrow-minded, which is annoying indeed, but his behavior is not that of a stupid person. He seems to have a reason to follow the school's rules that goes beyond pure fanatical belief in the school. This reason has not been revealed, but the trailer for episode five suggests that it might be soon. I will not spoil for you, though.
In need of another romance BL while I'm waiting for new episodes. Can someone offer me some recommendations please?…
Hello! I skimmed through your list, and if I am not mistaken, you have not watched He's Coming to Me, Semantic Error, SOTUS, and Theory of Love. I highly recommend these.
I liked it, although I though the romance came out of nowhere, it was too fast paced for me and that whole drunk…
"that whole drunk thing seemed a little bit rapey." Your comment is too kind, Hannah! If we call a spade a spade, this scene and the one in which Kinn had sex with drugged Porsche were both rape.
I love that we have all decided to lurk in this comment section every day until the new episode is released. xD Why is it not Friday yet? I cannot wait anymore!
It is so funny and endearing how Ayan, despite all his cockiness, does not dare take his tank top off in front of Akk. He even got in the shower with it, although Akk was already stripped to the waist. xD
I like that they adress the gay issue in this series a bit differently. In many other BLs everyone is gay and…
This! I am also so happy that we are past the “I like only you” type of gay representation.
At first, I could not decide if Akk is okay with being gay, but now I agree with you. I started rewatching episode four, and I noted that Akk was not disgusted by the accidental kiss. This kind of gave me a sign that he is more afraid of others’ finding out that he is gay than he is with accepting that he is gay. I also think that he is in denial about his crush on Ayan because Ayan is a rebel than because he is a boy.
This is a great observation. Ayan attracts so much attention with the mystery that surrounds him that I forgot…
Thank you for your kind words. :)
“because he knows Ayan does have a hidden agenda to be in this school, but to be honest, I'm not sure even Ayan would be able to say how much of his flirting is because of the attraction he feels for Akk and how much of it is meant to get Akk to back off and leave him get his revenge in peace.” I think that for now, Ayan’s flirting is still primary motivated by his secret agenda. Maybe it is just me, but Ayan seems to not be as confident as he wants others to think he is. He actually gets flustered really easily and is emotionally vulnerable. This is why I think that flirting for him is actually not as natural as it seems. When he and Akk are having a romantic moment, he usually does not flirt. He flirts when he is trying to distract Akk from something or make him reveal what’s his deal. For instance, in the beginning of episode four, Ayan did not start flirting until Akk tried to steal his notebook. He tried to do the seatbelt thing to Akk, but only after Akk denied having stalked him. Furthermore, as someone pointed out in the comment section, he secretly took a photo when he kissed Akk on the cheek. I doubt that he did this just because he wanted a cute photo.

I agree with you that they had several bonding scenes. I had forgotten about their bonding while feeding the dog because I did not attach much significance to this scene, although it was heart-warming. I understand where ashesinthewind is coming from, though. The relationship between Ayan and Akk is not progressing steadily, but is moving back and forth like a shuttle. They have a bonding moment, and then they lapse back into being rivals because Akk is confused and, as you pointed out, he is a guy who likes order and because Ayan still has revenge on his mind. This is why Akk’s behavior might seem a little illogical.
The scriptwriters also deserve praise for how they depicted the rich character. It is made clear to us that Ayan is rich, but being rich is not his whole personality or even a defining personality trait. This is so refreshing to see. Many BL series portray rich characters in such a frustratingly stereotypical way. I was glad when Not Me’s production team avoided this cliché with White, and I am glad that the production team of this series decided to do the same.
The latest episode was so good, OMG. Fast paced and interesting and full of suspense. I only rolled my eyes at…
This is a great observation. Ayan attracts so much attention with the mystery that surrounds him that I forgot to pay attention to Akk’s motivations. Now that I think about it, Akk’s transition from targeting Ayan to comforting him happened a little quick and might indeed not make much sense. However, this is kind of the whole point. Akk is confused as hell. His behavior is not supposed to make sense. This is how I see it:
He is feeling an attraction toward Ayan that is so strong that it is impossible for him to fight it, and he is still clinging to his prefect duties for protection against this dangerous attraction. Akk is a good person, though. When he reported Ayan to Chadok, he was trying not as much to discipline Ayan as to protect himself from someone who might send his facade of a perfect, straight Prefect Club president crumbling down, so when Ayan actually got targeted by the teachers, which Akk might have never actually wanted to happen, Akk felt guilty because he subconsciously realizes that the problem is not Ayan, who has done little more than not wearing a uniform and speaking back to the teacher – the problem are Akk’s own feelings.
I think that his decision to follow Ayan outside of school actually has little to do with trying to expel him. Akk is, as Khan and Wat pointed out, obsessed with Ayan. He is stalking Ayan because he wants to know more about him. Ayan is a charming enigma. However, Akk is still in denial about his attraction, and Khan, his close friend, does not like Ayan. [I laughed at your “pot, meet kettle.” It was on-point. xD] This is why he has to somehow justify his stalking. Naturally, he says that he is doing it for the school’s good.
Of the close to a hundred teachers, administrators, principals, etc. in primary and secondary schools, there are…
I feel you. I had a similar experience, although mine was a little better. I went to an ordinary elementary and middle school, and there the teachers were less stuck-up and kinder. Then I got into the elite high school, and everything changed for the worse.
That one bit made you dislike the show? That's unfortunate.
Congratulations on getting a new job! :) I am sorry that you are dropping this series for now, but I understand your priorities. We will keep you updated on how it is progressing. Good luck at your new workplace.

I hope that I make sense. :)
